The game feels poorly designed and frustrating to play. My main problems are: - Game flow is confusing and enemies feel overcomplicated. There is way too much happening on the screen, visuals blend together and it doesn't feel like it's possible to properly react to enemies and beat them without taking damage when there are a ton of them at the same time. - There are a LOT of weapons in this game, way more than you …

Oh boy. This game brings me so many memories of my childhood. So many references, with a beautifully directed art and envolving sountracks, the game stands up with a simple, intuitive, and yet, very confortable and fun battle mechanics. The lore and dialogues brings to the game a great amount of good comedy. The characters have a great charge of personality, bringing some good vibes and lots of laughs. I'm a big fan …

Im impressed I had not heard of this gem before. I can't even remember the last game that gave me such... honest fun. Streets of Rage maybe? No eternal grind, no forced repeatable quests, no waste of time with boring stuff to get to the good stuff... just the next challenge. Almost every level a new enemy, a new formation, a new boss and man does it get hard... do not get fooled by the cute graphics, this thing is …

This is kind of a mix between beat 'em up and shoot 'em up with an original art style I've not seen anywhere else before. It's that and the humor obvious in the trailer that attracted me in the first place. The art has nice, vibrant colors and is initially attractive, but it doesn't hold up in the long run because the drawings are too simplistic and the backgrounds are too repetitive. The humor is good, I liked how …

This game game is mad. Mad. M. A. D. Really good. Not much else to say. It takes you by surprise and it is of great quality for being an indie, the online COOP mode is a lot of fun and works flawlessly, and local couch COOP works amazingly well too, very entertaining, funny, silly, and challenging. Totally recommended!

neutral · AI labelView post →As someone who's played alone, with a friend, completed all the first zone, and beat the first 10 waves of endless mode, I find this game to be very enjoyable. The gameplay is unique and intuitive. The music feels nostalgic, as if I've heard it before. The game runs well, and the pixel style is nice, and doesn't feel like it gets in the way. Everything all mashed together to create this wonderful experience, and while the story isn't the best, the well-paced comedy, and everything else makes up…

Overall Rating - Seriously Flawed ★★☆☆☆ First Impressions Lately, I've been bouncing around various games, going for different styles and control schemes. negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Underrated action game, although it gets insanely unforgiving in the last world, even with powerups. Kill stuff, get carrots, use carrots to buy new weapons and abilities. Some of it is pretty good, others are worthless. There also random loot-boxes you can pick up in levels which reward you with new swords or packs of carrots. The writing is pretty light and funny. But like I mentioned, the difficulty toward the end is insane. I equipped two powerups which reduce damage by 50% each and still…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Early review - I only played a few levels so far - but here's the sum of it - it automatically scrolls to the right, you can't jump - you are given a sword attack, ranged attacks with R stick, and dash ( to dodge ) and a dash attack wioth the sword. you go through waves, earn carrots ( curency for upgrades and gear ) if you complete a wave without takng damage, you heal up a lot, the better you do, the more HP you heal for each wave - and you get combos - which increase the number of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A decent beat-em-up game. Fast paced action, simple story, some fun dialogues and goofy bosses. You can complete the story mode in 8-9 hours. At first it's really fun, but in the middle of the game some enemy combinations become really frustrating/annoying, especially when it seems that your damage is lacking. But it's only because this game has little to no info about elemental damage types and their benefits to the player. But once you actually figure everything out (more or less) all by…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ninjin: Clash of Carrots is definitely one of the best indie games ever made. it’s one of these hidden gems that you found on a sale and unexpectedly it becomes one of the best games you ever played, but that doesn’t mean that the game has no flaws. The good things - first and most importantly in this type of games is the gameplay. the gameplay in this game looks simple but it’s quite solid. You can only attack, throw projectile, dash and attack while dashing, but the gameplay encourage you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quick Description: -Ninjin Clash of Carrots is a beat em up and twin stick shooter hybrid w/ a cast full of colorful characters and chaotic bullet hell gameplay. This game has a ton of charm, is absolutely adorable, and is really well polished. It's a bit of a one trick pony and is likely to fly under the radar, but is well worth your time if you are a fan of the genre. What's Good: -I'm a big fan of the art direction and Hub in between levels. There are a ton of bright colors, projectiles…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super fun action game. Mostly great across the board. The only things I ran into that felt like they could use some rework are itemization & the very end game stages + the final boss. It is all possible but most will need to play the stages many times to complete them.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →CON: -enemy attack you before appear on the screen, and dev tend to make every level with this gimmick -dash attack have invincible time but only for half duration, mean everytime you dash attack, you get hit immediately because you can't move at all after dash attack and the invincible time is gone before your attack finish -you can't stun any enemy, and as I mention above this makes your dash attack very hard to use because it's completely useless -enemy can still hit you after they die (for…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can’t recommend this game. The game started off great was fun and looked cute. The first hiccup we encountered playing the game was in 1-7 we kept getting disconnected when we killed to the Boss. The game was Enjoyable again till we got to 4-2 and onward. We kill the boss and disconnect. It wouldn’t be much of a big deal if the level wasn’t such a hassle. their idea of making the game difficult is by taking away your abilities like dashing, striking or throwing Shurikens. There’s also some…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome game to play co-op! I imagine even if the country was not on lockdown, I would enjoy playing this game. Pros: -Colorful and amusing visuals -Jokes are actually funny -Players can purchase weapons and other upgrades/items to change up combat styles -Easy to pick up and play, with increasing levels of difficulty Cons: -Online co-op had some lag even though we're in the same house. Couch co-op likely a better experience. -Despite Asian flair, no Asian language support (yet) -If one…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome mix of beat'm'up and shoot'm'up with retro looks and sounds. Nice difficulty curve unlike most other indie titles. It starts easy, but with character. It reminds me of good old Nntendo games which you can just play casually for the first 30min or even an hour and then things gets complicated and you gotta really learn the ropes. Games has tons of unlocks and stuff to buy and customize your character to suit your play style. It's a gem. Buy it if you like decent action with fun slapstick…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The idea of this game is very fun and creative, a hybrid union of endless runner and beat' em up, More with a cartoon aesthetic that takes inspiration from the anime of the 2000s, its OST, inspired by arcade games and Japanese culture, is one of its best aspects, In addition to all that, this game originates in Brazil, something that makes it even more original It's a very unique game, and even more so, its artistic style is something that is not seen every day, definitely, if you are…

positive · AI labelView post →Yeah, but Show Ninjin as an IP is different to Game Ninjin as an IP. Trust me, I wish they could get some semblance of action, but even if they did have astronomically stacked proof, actual justice in law is getting harder and harder to find every day, especially in animation
neutral · AI labelView post →10/10 One of the most fun games EVER! One of the most fun coop beatemup roguelikes ever. Very fun game. Wild selection of weapons( from swords to anchors to cactus's) Also 2ndary throw weapons and upgradeable equipment that changes the way you play. Fun singleplayer, but MORE Fun with coop and controllers. Also instead of walking you fly around the screen at a high pace which really sets it apart from standard beatemups. The speed adds to the fun and the cartoony artwork is cool along…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wouldn't know about the show without the game, which was pretty good when I played it, just not a fan of losing your abilities for the last few levels, it strips way too much of the game I hope WB comes to their senses and gives the show more episodes
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is cool, but has its drawbacks. Things I like about this game in no particular order: 1) General Jam (He's so cute!) 2) Run #5 soundtrack is awesome; 3) Soundtrack in general is awesome and very fitting; 4) Moe Junior is Moest Adorable, I legit listen to his OST unironically; 5) Corgi Junior stole my heart the first time I saw him; 6) I like the references in the inventory. Still wish I knew where is "Gothic Sword" item from. In general, this game is 1) made in a very loveable…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a beat 'em up but you ninja run everywhere, fight the enemies in waves, throw shurikens as a secondary attack and you can choose from such exciting character options as ninja bun with hood or ninja fox sans hood. The shopkeeper is a corgi that borks at you. This is a fun game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A charming game with great gameplay! Every part of it matches each other well to create a fun and exciting experience. The characters are cool, cute and easy to spot on the screen, the story is funny and interesting, the music gets you excited for the levels and there are great sound cues for the enemies' attacks. Then, of course, we have the game play. Not only is it a beat'em up with a great variety of weapons (inluding projectiles) and enemies, but it is also kind of a puzzle game. With each…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game isn't AS good as the score might suggest, but its still a pretty damn good one. It does get very hard near the end though and you really gotta learn all the items and stuff to pick the right setup for the right missions. I did 100% the game. So I S-ranked everything and collected all the items. I also got to wave 80 something on endless, while the last reward is given out at 50. Though this mode feels very much decided by your random itemdrops imo. So I did everything there is to do…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is fun at the start, but it has an awful difficulty curve. It's pretty easy at the beginning, with it's cutesy art-style and Grade 3 jokes and plot, but then the difficulty ramps up pretty quick. In the levels, you play as a anthropomorphic ninja animal who runs around, but the game fails at bringing this to life. There are constant interruptions and downtimes by waiting for waves or enemies, or when you meet a new enemy and a cutscene flashes for like 5 seconds, disrupting the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →best adventure game made, its worth the purchase to everyone you will find a great surprise at the end
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is seriously dope, and for only a dollar it's an absolute steal. Highly highly recommend this game if you're looking for a good co-op game with a friend, and the online is amazing. So much fun. PS the red bouncy orbs + stamina emblem is nutty
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Somehow most folks (including me) seem to have missed one of the most fun hack-slash-shoot-loot arcade coop experiences of last year? With nice music and art too? No disrispect to Modus, but this should have been published by Devolver, their audience would not leave this delsih carrot dish on the table. P.S. There's even an arena mode that works like a rogue-light challenge with rewards for the story mode.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute art, Fun smhup/beat-em up game. Have to know each enemies pattern since different combination of enemies on the screen will need a different strategy or equipment. At first, I try to bulldoze everything but then the level pit you against various enemies that complement each others (or not). I already stuck at one of the level due to not being patient (it quite difficult to know where you are when everything exploded). Haven't try the co-op yet, but single player is really enjoyable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game. Its like a heckin cool ninja shooter fighter and its fun af. And the multiplayer is really good too. I played this with my friend and we really liked it. Strongly recommend this gem.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is as colorful, hectic and silly as it looks. It actually reminds me of sour candy, for some reason (and I do love sour candy). So yeah, this is sour candy in game form. This is my description and I'm sticking with it. I have a few gripes with the game design and accessibility (stamina bar, lack of key binding) and some other things I believe are oversights, but none of that is a big enough issue to be a deal breaker. I say it's worth getting.

That's just how hyped I was for this game! Ninjin is an amazing experience, not to mention an even better co-op experience! I played with a friend online for the entire game, and gearing up and strategizing for each mission together and checking out new items in the shop is very fun…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ninjin: Clash of Carrots is a pretty decent beat 'em up, all things considered. The core gameplay works great overall, even if it can fluctuate heavily in terms of difficulty and the game isn't very long. There are definitely some areas of the game that could have been shored up, but it's certainly not a bad game. If you're looking for a two-player beat 'em up experience, you could do a lot worse than with Ninjin: Clash of Carrots. Pros + Wide variety of weapons and enemies. + Solid,…
