[1][2][3] Many find it a perfect sequel that improves on the original while retaining its core feel, though some prefer the first game. [4][5][6] Reviewers highlight its excellent value for the price, with quick session play and high replayability. [7][2][8]

I don't know exactly why, even though it's pretty similar to the 1st one, it couldn't captivate my attention to keep playing like its predecessor. The game is pretty fluid, same mechanics and even some improved ones, customization options, more in-depth challenges, but feels a bit overwhelming compared to the first one. I guess less is more and the 1st will forever hold a special place in my heart.

The "One Finger Death Punch" duo is definitely underrated. I played the first part for about 25 hours and got super excited when I noticed the release of a sequal. One Finger Death Punch 2 is a hilarious, addictive fast-paced Beat 'em Up. As a highly qualified stickman ninja, your goal is to press either the left or right mouse button to attack enemies approaching you from the sides with perfect timing. Button …

At launch there was some mechanical jank, now it's unironically on-par with the first game. There's enough differences that it feels fresh, but those differences also mean that the original isn't replaced by this either. There are nuances to each, and as a result I would say this is pretty much a perfect sequel. It's got the same feel, the same vibe, the same satisfaction, but with juuuuust enough subtle differences …

One Finger Death Punch received positive reviews from critics, praising its simple controls, large amount of content and its visual style. However, critics picked up on the game's repetitive nature. Erwan Lafleuriel from Gameblog commented on One Finger Death Punch's simple controls by saying that the game was "Easy to learn, but challenging enough to pass many levels with honours". Hooked Gamers' Matt Porter said that people "could even play One Finger Death Punch with one finger", he concluded the review commenting about the simplistic game mechanics with "The depth behind the simplistic control scheme is impressive up to a point, until it all starts to get a bit samey".

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My judgement of the games I've played so far: - Peggle: Is Peggle. - One Finger Death Punch 2: I installed it to try it for 15 minutes. 2 hours later, I forced myself to bed. - Demon Tilt & Xenotilt: possibly the finest pinball video games ever made - Demon Blade Reboot: so, so satisfying to play
positive · AI labelView post →A game that finally perfected one-handed controls, yet the content is damn near impossible to masturbate to... Also, the title is misleading, since I find it way more enjoyable with two fingers. Only thing is that now I have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. 11/10 - My girlfriend keeps accusing me of being bad at fingering. This game doesn't. So who's the liar here?

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ridiculously good for its price. I've played the first one countless hours, and the second is nothing but better. Would highly recomend, its not as hard as it looks so dont let difficulty scare you, and everything is so fluid and smooth.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A note about One Finger Death Punch 2, though, if you plan to buy it: it has what regrettably sounds like a white guy doing a vaguely racist accent for the announcer. Thankfully, it can be switched off in the settings.

More game designers need to look at those words and recognize that the path to Overwhelmingly Positive reviews, is to make a game first. This game costs $2 on sale and has left more of an impression on me than any cutscene or seeing myself as the protagonist ever could.

neutral · AI labelView post →As someone who's a big fan of the original, I have to agree with other comments regarding how this just feels like a downgrade. I find that the menus feel more like a cheap mobile game despite it being exclusively on steam, the bars under the enemies are harder to read with no way to change their appearance, everything feels unnecessarily larger and zoomed in (as if it was a mobile game, and I find that it overstays its welcome as the story mode seems to be much longer than the originals. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When a game is as simple as One Finger Death Punch any small tweak can break the system. Heres the big problem: I hate the auto combos. Too often the game takes control away to play a flashy animation. It totally messes with the flow state that makes the first game so fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Why is the sequel to "One Finger Death Punch" called "One Finger Death Punch 2" and not "2 Finger Death Punch"? Publisher fail.
neutral · AI labelView post →Good for short bursts, but with practically infinite replayability. Just turn your brain off and punch people. There's not really much difference between the first game and the second, so if you have one you don't really need to get the other.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Responsive, simple, and low time commitment. Something extremely satisfying about the way a string of attacks feels and sounds. Great if you want to spend 10-20 minutes locked in on something or blow off some steam.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I gave this game a try right after extensively playing the first one, and honestly just in the first few minutes I felt extreme disappointment playing it... I was excited knowing the first game had a sequel but this is just not what I expected. This game takes everything that the first game has and kind of downgrades it a ton while throwing in a lot of other new features on top that seem well done but some I deem completely unnecessary. The visuals and even voice acting from the first game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Coming from the first game, its the exact same thing but waaaaaaaaay better. You barely have to lift a finger, and this game will make you feel more bad ass than any AAA game,
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →27) One Finger Death Punch 2 Showing an in-game screen for this one, cuz no art does it justice. Effectively a two-way belt-scroller, you press left or right when an enemy is in your range, you kill them. Weapons increase range, some enemies require multiple L/R combos, there's skill trees. Its fun
positive · AI labelView post →Did you know there's a jumpscare for going afk in the map screen?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very much the same as the first one but with a few extra features added in. Some more flashy, yet tacky art work. Some unlockable upgrades. And a campaign map to boot. I did enjoy the first one as a fun little time waster and this one is no different. Just hit one of two buttons at the right time and away you go. Is what it is and worth the price.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game reminds me of how absurd the act of playing a computer game really is.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →perfect, the onlything that can be improved is the visuals
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gratuitous violence and a ludicrous amount of ways to inflict pain upon your fellow stickmen. More game modes than expected, including ones that let you experience what it's like to have a cat or a baby! Satisfying progression, good skills, nice map... A labor of love and it shows. That red and blue bar will be burned into your eyes eventually, but oh boy, do I love it. Old school cool that knows what it is. Split some sides, people!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the only bad thing is the extremely missed opportunity to give it a funnier and more accurate name
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Frankly, it's way too fast compared to the first one. OFDP eased you into the speed, this one starts off at a break neck pace. It could be a skill issue, but I have hours upon hours in the original.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless—like a stickman. Now you put a stickman in a game, it becomes the game; You put a stickman into a sequel it becomes the sequel; Now that stickman can either press X or press B. Be a stickman, my friend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kinda imagining she starts to just kill a 2000 man army by herself with her secondary speed upgrade on her sword. Kinda like how in One Finger Death Punch 2 the more you kill the faster they come at you.
neutral · AI labelView post →Came here for nostalgia. Dam I really only played 5 quid for this? While the gameplay loop and visuals seem simplisitic theres a lot of flourishes to both and the fighting becomes surprisringly involed. One of the best brawlers on steam and a MASSIVE amount of content for the price. The first game is decent but you might as well skip to this one and only buy the first if you hunger for more
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hell yeah this already feels much more fun than the first version of the game serie. 4/5 Score
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The ending cinematic is Absolute cinema
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →10) One Finger Death Punch 2 Loved the original, the sequel is also amazing. Such a good game to zone in for, great to watch as well if you can handle how flashy the game gets with its moves. Inspired a love of hook swords in me.
