neutral · AI labelView post →such a DVD ass movie. even though it released theatrically this movie is like soul-bonded to being a DVD movie. you know what i mean. i can't possibly imagine seeing Open Season on the big screen. that concept like doesnt exist in my head even a little bit
negative · AI labelView post →I often like to revisit more obscure movies I watched when I was a kid, especially if I'd forgotten about them at some point. What I'm getting at is Open Season is a really bad movie.

positive · AI labelView post →One of favorite albums to a bad movie is Paul Westerberg's soundtrack for 2006's "Open Season". Paul was almost immediately called a sell out, and only responded with the fact that his wife "wanted new tile in the kitchen".
neutral · AI labelView post →Very sad to hear that animation legend Roger Allers has died aged 76. He co-directed The Lion King (1994), and also worked on Oliver & Company, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Emperor’s New Groove, Lilo & Stitch, and Open Season. www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie...
neutral · AI labelView post →Boog the Bear fart and poop Open Season bro let it rip he has twerked, farted and pooped in this movie him and Elliot are the sexiest duo in these movies
neutral · AI labelView post →Open Season was Sony Pictures' first animated film, a CGI comedy about a tamed bear (Martin Lawrence) meeting a wild deer (Ashton Kutcher) and escaping from the hands of a crazy hunter (Gary Sinise) as well as from every hunter during open season and fight back with the help of the local wildlife.

Forgotten Island will probably even be the family film of choice in October.
neutral · AI labelView post →STAY AWAY: Open Season: 20th Anniversary screenings are now being labeled as “the modern day vomitorium” as audiences train themselves to projectile vomit onto the screen as Boog does during the first 25 minutes of the film. Theaters have issued sanitation warnings for the film.

neutral · AI labelView post →I hope Sony doesnt get the wrong idea either with how they announced a trilogy of films AND A LIVE ACTION movie all at once cause once I heard that, I was reminded of how the Open Season sequels and the Hotel Transelvania sequels ended up making this scenario worse.

neutral · AI labelView post →I think it's easy to forget Sony Pictures Animation is the same studio that developed Open Season, the 2011 Smurfs, The Emoji Movie, and The Star. Just like with literally any other studio, film or otherwise, they can't all be winners.
neutral · AI labelView post →-considered one of the saddest things Disney has ever made. And yeah, I know he also directed Open Season which was pretty bad, but he at least did what he could with the material he had to work with. Plus I haven’t seen his final film The Prophet in a long time but i should definitely return to it-
neutral · AI labelView post →you know a zoomer made the 'your month = your furry awakening' when everything listed is from 2015-onward and there's only 3 from your era on the list also Open Season? that movie was dumb, dude, lol.
negative · AI labelView post →OPEN SEASON (2006) watched 9/20/25 technically i'm still watching this as we speak but i needed to post this before i forget and say: this movie has made jules the most angriest i've ever seen her in the almost 5 years i've known them
negative · AI labelView post →Open Season: Scared Silly is the fourth film but more like the second film since it does take place before 2 and 3, and actually feels like a sequel with the animation much better this time, and the original film's villain even makes a surprise return. Its very average but its better than 2 & 3.
neutral · AI labelView post →Open Season 2 starts with Mr. Weenie the dog who had a few minutes of fame in the first movie as a major character as he is taken from his new wild home and back to his pet friends whom their leader has a hatred for wildlife. Meanwhile Boog and Elliott put a wedding to a halt to rescue Mr. Weenie.

negative · AI labelView post →Refusing to be interact with cartoon characters on an animated TV show is certainly a valid position. However, Westerberg had already appeared with claymation people in the Replacements' 1990 "When It Began" music video. And in 2006, he wrote/played music for an animated feature film, "Open Season."
neutral · AI labelView post →#118: Open Season: Scared Silly This movie also fucking sucks but it’s way more funny so it’s kinda worth it. Directed by the same guy who did Cow and Chicken, and it felt more Hotel Translvania-y in its animation which made it more fun to watch. The part where Elliot eats poop sucks though.
neutral · AI labelView post →!!!BREAKING!!! Many theaters are now putting on nudity warnings for the "OPEN SEASON" anniversary re-release period, seeming due to a large trend on TikTok where individuals take their clothes off start twerking when the character "Boog" does in the film. Look out, Open Season OGs!
neutral · AI labelView post →Open Season on PS2. It's an old licensed game based on the movie. It's stupid and not polished. But I like playing it cause it lets me play as a bear who terrorizes tons of hunters by scaring the shit of them or throw them around like rag dolls.

neutral · AI labelView post →I have done this before where I'm so certain of what's going to happen in a movie that I just decide not to watch it but that's for like Chickenhare and Open Season. Kid's movies. I think it's mainly because You has that analog horror internet ARG aesthetic so people think they know what to expect.

neutral · AI labelView post →Clarification: Not their first original non-IP movie. That honor would go to Open Season, which came out 20 years ago this year in 2006. Technically, it became an IP AFTER its initial release, as most media brands tend to do once they become successful as Surf's Up and Hotel Transylvania did.
neutral · AI labelView post →Yep! I had DVDs of Garfield: The Movie, Chicken Little and Open Season I would constantly watched them a lot as a kid. Let's just say they didn't aged well in my eyes as an adult.

neutral · AI labelView post →Pokemon GSC are weird because they are just so much better than anything else from the mainline series, like to a ridiculous degree. It feels like one of those film directors who has like one film that gets compared to Citizen Kane and then the rest of their filmography is Open Season sequels.
neutral · AI labelView post →The ONLY good Open Season movie; it's a classic
positive · AI labelView post →Legitimately, the context of the movie cheapens and weakens songs rather than elevates the movie; you hear them on their own and think "oh this is good" but when I heard them play during OPEN SEASON it was just like "pfffft fuck offffff"
