Such a wonderful surprise of a game. It baffles me this game has gotten so little attention. There is this nostalgic feeling about it. The graphics and music are incredibly charming. I love challenging roguelikes like Caves of Qud or Quasimorph and this game can be just that. I have seen many people call it casual, which it ultimately is, but it can also involve a good amount of complexity with the higher …

The game feels like a lost N64 title. Every screen, every animation, every sound effect feels just like a first-party N64 game in the best way without feeling like it's copying anything. The game itself is a really interesting mix of classic Mystery Dungeon gameplay with real-time combat. I absolutely love it and can't wait for more updates.

Very fun and charming game with great customization/QoL features, with the difficulty being very well balanced and fair for everyone. This is still in early access, but there is enough content to keep you hooked for a good bit. Works great on Steam Deck! <3

Fan of Mystery Dungeon and rouge-likes? PAA should be right up your alley with it's cozy pixel art and surprisingly catchy soundtrack. The perfect game to wind down any day!

Been waiting for this one for three years and it did not disappoint. Ignore the early access tag, this has a ton of content for an early access game. https://youtu.be/OgrqfWl874c

neutral · AI labelView post →Though it may say I got the game for free or from a Steam key, don't be fooled: I backed the game on Kickstarter and have watched this game grow from its infancy. I paid 100x the cost of the base game, and seeing what it has become, I don't regret doing so. The idea of this game ending up as a hidden gem is downright criminal—a cognitohazard in its purest form. It was originally designed as a blend of many series beloved by its creator, adjusted to fit a new form. And it is my belief that it…

I was honored to make 3 songs for this wonderful project (2 remixes from the charming original OST by Mothense, plus a short action theme) - and I can say the game is REALLY fun! store.steampowered.com/app/1982120/...

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a recommend for the casual crowd who doesn't mind a game taking it easy on you. The story sections can get a bit long and skill drops are random, so RNG can hurt, but its never so much that a careful player can't overcome it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Been waiting so long for this gem! Incredible amount of love has been put in every little detail. Absolutely beautiful game. P.S. The dev is a pretty cool and chill guy <3

positive · AI labelView post →I enjoyed playing the early access a lot! The only feature I'd really like to see get added other than whats being added in the 'Roadmap' is a dummy added to the camp. Too much I get a skill and more than just seeing what it does I wanna know if it does a lot of damage with that particular character and if so how much? Other than that I loved my experience playing through till I think the current last boss? Anyway, it was a good experience and I hope all goes well for the dev team cause this is…

neutral · AI labelView post →This is a fun (although a bit easy) mystery dungeon like game with a lot of content for early access. Although, I do wish there were some consistent supply sets, because it feels quite inconsistent to have an extra party member one minute and the next only EXP, the way I would wish for it to be changed is to have each character to have semi-unique consistent supply sets.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I need the Dino baby to be an unlockable character instead of a run-only character. I need it. (Great Game aside from that)

neutral · AI labelView post →Popped over to pick this up after seeing Olexa's video on it. Super charming little roguelike dungeon crawler game. I've managed to beat both of the first 2 zones on Normal, and am looking forward to seeing how the following zones play out. From the little bit that I've played so far, if you like dungeon crawlers like Chocobo's Dungeon or Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, you'll most likely feel right at home in this. The big difference is that the game isn't tied to the player's movement. Your…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Thanks! One of them, Paper Animal Adventure, will be released soon! The other ones aren’t real games, just renditions of the DS Pokémon games in my art style. (I’m working on my own games in this style!) The most recently released game I’ve worked on is Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story
neutral · AI labelView post →its a cool fun game, interesting action-positioning take on traditional roguelikes HOWEVER there are bugs that are completely impeding my otherwise enjoyment - Game won't save Work hard to get a campfire, save, exit the game, re-launch it, all your progress is GONE - Keybind updates won't save Try to change the keys, it won't retain the updates Otherwise game is cool, too bad

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Are you looking for a game with a frog in it? And a dungeon crawler where you can be a frog? Do you like other animals, besides frogs? Well, you can be those too, I guess. But, being a frog is cooler. Just so you know. I do really like this game though. I don't know what's going on with that bear fella, ya see. But uhm, i like it. yah. that's all.

I originally backed it on Kick Starter and have been drooling at every update released in anticipation for this game. Let me tell you, it delivered! I am having an absolute blast. The game is fast paced, fun, challenging, cute, mysterious, I can go on and on! I've done about five runs so far and every one feels different and unique. There is also so many…

neutral · AI labelView post →Incredibly obtuse and counterintuitive control scheme. Does not allow mouse in menus, instead you have to use arrow keys (normal), enter (normal) and backspace (what the ♥♥♥♥?). I had to press every single button on my keyboard because instead of using Esc like any other game, the dev chose Backspace for some reasons??? And it's not even rebindable? The game itself is fine, I guess. Too many menus and informational screen to access while only using keyboard control, making navigation an…

positive · AI labelView post →Great Game but i've the feeling that sometimes the fps drop which is a bit annoying especially since it uses il2cpp as build method. Sometimes when running, sometimes when fighting. Also sad to see that the game uses il2cpp, its modding unfriendly, not big fan of it simply bc fans who want to see more can't make stuff for the game, i hope that one day there might be a ingame editor bc it would be perfect for this kind of game or maybe a modding version that is build in mono, time will tell,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It just has so many little features that all add up to an already really polished experience. Have played a few runs so far, but it felt really amazing. Only worry I have is that the game might not take too long, but only time will tell. Haven't played Paper Mario, but I really love the style. And have played a lot of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and Mario & Luigi, and can definitely see the inspiration.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game perfectly scratches that something-in-the-vein-of-Binding-of-Isaac itch I've been having for a while. The very quasi-grid-based/turn-based combat system is very refreshing and feels like a very novel approach to the genre. I'm not finished with the main story, but so far it seems very interesting and gives framework to the roguelike system of "runs". The great mechanics and wonderful art design makes this game easy to look at and a lot of fun to play. Get it. Play it. LOVE IT.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun and charming game with great customization/QoL features, with the difficulty being very well balanced and fair for everyone. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would die for my dinosaur this is a good game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has an interesting combat system, it looks like a traditional turn based roguelike but action happens in real time
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sorta related question, but do you have a list anywhere that features all the games you've officially gotten into via cameos, kickstarter or not? Between playing Rivals of Aether 2, Beastieball, Paper Animal Adventure, and now this I realize the mark of a good indie game has having an Indie in it.

neutral · AI labelView post →Helped crowed fund this project a few years ago sense I an a fan of dungeon crawlers, after playing this game for few hours and searching information, I found out this game is really short compared to the pokemon mystery dungeon. This game features 8 dungeons which you revisit a few times to explore, battle enemies, and collect items in a live based combat. The characters are colorful, very expressive , and quite creative which shows the passion that was made for the game. Game length though…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just started the game, so this can only be a first impression for now. This game is AMAZING, the care for details and love put into it clearly shows. The gameplay is REALLY fun, the blend of turn based with real time action works great, surely a bit more work into it will make this a polished gem. Sound design, graphics and UI are all great, the game is challenging and rewarding, there's already lots of content, I'm loving this and keep playing. Well worth the price tag, it's a steal.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As someone who thoroughly enjoyed the demo, this Early Access release absolutely delivered. This is an absolutely incredible rogue-lite with some of the most charming visuals I've ever seen, and despite it's Early Access tag the amount of content available is impressive, especially the fact the whole story is already there and playable. Didn't want to leave a review until I'd finished doing so. Give or take one or two deaths on normal/hard mode, the game can be "beaten" in about 10 or so…
