positive · AI labelView post →People not alive in the 1970s need to be aware that Planet Of The Apes didn't just have one TV series, but it had two. Between 1968 and 1975 the only year without a new Apes movie or TV series release was 1969. It was a juggernaut of entriees with increasingly smaller budgets.
neutral · AI labelView post →Man, the astronauts that returned after nine months in space must feel like a scene straight out of the movie The Planet of the Apes. They return to a chaotic strange country overtaken by primates with an orange leader. 🙁
neutral · AI labelView post →Time to end my Planet Of The Apes marathon. I'm on the 10th and currently final movie.
neutral · AI labelView post →FILM IDEA. Planet of the Apes but with chickens. I'm calling it Chicken Of The Apes.
neutral · AI labelView post →That Tim Burton Planet of the Apes movie is going to be a movie that everyone forgets existed but is one of the most bonkers fucking things a human being has ever created
positive · AI labelView post →In Philip K Dick’s A Scanner Darkly, there’s a local marathon screening of “all eleven” Planet of the Apes movies. The eleventh Planet of the Apes film is projected to be released in 2027.

neutral · AI labelView post →The original "Planet of the Apes" is a Christmas movie. In the first ten minutes alone it has like 2,000 Christmases.
neutral · AI labelView post →My oldest daughter is home from college and wanted to watch an old movie with me. She chose Conquest of the Planet of the Apes (1972). (She really did.)
neutral · AI labelView post →I remember talking to an adult about Planet of the Apes when I was a kid, and I mentioned that he died in the second movie, and they said “Yeah, that’s not really much of a loss” Didn’t get why they were so callous about it until I grew up and learned everything about him

neutral · AI labelView post →Imagine how different the Planet Of The Apes movie would have been if Dr. Zaius had been played by Bob Dylan
neutral · AI labelView post →Oh gawd this show. In 1975, sci-fi fans were desperate for tv & film. We had Star Trek reruns, on heavy rotation, that was it. Film was no better. Planet of the Apes sequels. Between 2001 (and some others) in 1968 & Star Wars in 1977, it was a desert. So the idiotic Space:1999 was a must watch!
neutral · AI labelView post →PLANET OF THE APES was released 57 years ago today. Regarded as one of the great science fiction films and a movie with one of the great plot twists, the behind the scenes story is like talking a walk through The Forbidden Zone… 1/50
neutral · AI labelView post →Been rereading Marvel's Planet of the Apes magazine & just hit the last issue. It's been fun. The adaptation of Battle departed from the film more than any others (spoilers below, if interested). An original story last issue FINALLY introduced a smart & noble gorilla soldier, which was refreshing.
positive · AI labelView post →Technically every movie is a Planet of the Apes movie
neutral · AI labelView post →MAJOR PLOT HOLE!!! In “Planet of the Apes” (1968), they never actually explain how the Statue of Liberty was transported to the apes’ planet. - shittymoviedetails.
neutral · AI labelView post →A thoroughly fantastical movie poster for the release of 1968’s “Planet Of The Apes” in The Socialist Republic of Romania.
neutral · AI labelView post →RIP Kris Kristofferson (1936-2024) Among his very long career in film and music, and Blade of course, we should mention a few sci-fi forays, including Planet of the Apes (2001), The Jacket (2005), Amerika (1987), Millennium (1989), Knights (1993), and Fallout: New Vegas (2010).
neutral · AI labelView post →I think my favorite black & white movie is Planet of the Apes on a 9” b&w Sony tv in my bedroom with the sound off because they’re showing it way after my bedtime and I’m supposed to be asleep

That’s the power of great music (and a great film!) I’ll ink this later when done working :)
neutral · AI labelView post →Like I’d go see that Bruce Springsteen movie if Springsteen was an ape and it was about him on the Planet of the Apes
neutral · AI labelView post →MASSIVE RIFF MONDAYS brings you “THE ACHILLES LIST” a collaboration with Damian Marley and co-produced by Zane Lowe of Apple Music. The name of the song comes from the film “Battle For The Planet Of The Apes” where the dangerous apes are placed on an “Achilles list” signifying the threat they pose.

neutral · AI labelView post →Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes was a wonderful middle ground between the original films and the 2010s trilogy. Here is my ranking of every Planet Of The Apes movie and TV show that is currently out from favourite to least favourite.
positive · AI labelView post →The new Planet of the Apes movie is so unrealistic. Who would ever believe a living creature would twist the words of their savior in order to gain and preserve autocratic power. Silly Monkeys.

neutral · AI labelView post →FILM FACTZ! Charlton Heston improvised the end of Planet Of The Apes. He made up the Statue of Liberty on the spot, but the director kept it in.
neutral · AI labelView post →Movie Factz: Most of what you saw on screen in the original "Planet of the Apes" was simply made up.
neutral · AI labelView post →I do love the naming scheme of every Planet Of The Apes instalment. No numbers at all, just gotta force yourself to remember their order and what is a movie and what's a TV show. Oh yeah it had 2 failed TV shows that most people forgot about.
