I feel like this game will be 100% worth the purchase in the future, but I can't recommend it in its current state. I've played this on two PC's, both have the recommended requirements and it ran pretty bad on my mid range PC, so there are pretty severe optimization problems. Secondly, the animal logic seems off. This is amazing. I play it with my kid and it's been a magical experience. I particularly like that we see seamless growth from baby to adult for each species. I also have to say its refreshing to see dinosaurs represented as the animals they are, and not like monsters, for a change.

I've got the go ahead to post concept art I did for the Video Game Prehistoric Kingdom. I helped with the design of their Palaeobotany system. First up are the ferns and trees from the 'Coastal' biome. Check out the Dev Diary below to see some of those plants as in-game models!

I WANT to rate this highly, but at its current state - and knowing how long it's BEEN in this state, given it's several years into early access atp - I unfortunately can't. It's fun, there's a nice variety of creatures and they all look absolutely lovely. The customization is complex, and you can make your park look however you want. But that's pretty much where my praise ends. Where this game exceeds expectations in it's building and customization, it's also INCREDIBLY confusing and…

Game is great, but the pathing is so awful it ruins like half the experience. Pathing is EXTREMELY important in a game like this, it's how visitors and keepers get from place to place, but the pathing in Prehistoric Kingdom is just absolute garbage The slightest bump in terrain causes an error and refuses to let you place paths, it's annoying. It's difficult to build ANYTHING that isn't the most basic, flat, boring paths that already take forever because if the terrain is even 1 inch in a…

I like the concept and a lot of the main ideas here, but many of the mechanics of this game leave a lot to be desired. The building system desperately needs snapping (for things like doors or awnings). This leads to a litany of secondary issues that could be resolved or worked around easily. - Different objects seem to use different grid systems. This adds immense tedium to making things fit together. - Most wall mounted objects start in the laying on the ground position. Every single time…

If you are currently on a crossroads between this game and Jurassic World Evolution, I strongly recommend this one. Animals in this game have many behaviours, they breed, communicate, form groups and herds and devs aren't even done if it comes to adding new behaviours (with canibalism and fighting behaviours on the way). They feel like alive animals and not ,,assets", as they are called in Jurassic World series. I would also reccommend this game if you are looking for a game with scientifically…

Deino needs at least 50% of it under water.. Had to submerge an entire spare area otherwise Tarbo would soak with no dry land to walk lmao

If you're wondering if you should buy JPE 3 or this, i hope this helps. Why Prehistoric Kingdom? It strives for the scientific and realistic, renditions of all its creatures. This game had plans for babies and custom building modules before JPE 3 announced it. I've been looking at this game for a good time now, heard good things from the internet and friends and finally decided to check it out, especially now that it's on sale. Sadly I cannot say a lot of good things about it, at least not ones that balance out the cons. But I will start with the good things. The models for the animals look insanely good, the growing and the colors on them do not hinder that at all, they are made with a lot of detail and have scientifically accurate designs, which…

I'll preface this by saying that I generally, as a rule, don't pick up Early Access games: However I'd been following this games progression for a while & the latest reviews/updates made it seem like a more or less full game was available to play - I wasn't dissapointed! The animals themselves are beautifully rendered & animated, they behave realistically, and the gameplay loop encourages you to place them in natural settings/groups & rewards you for raising family groups. The building system is amazing and easy to learn and use (way easier management compared to Planet Zoo), the creatures look absolutely stunning, and you get to listen to THE Nigel Marvin talk to you about your weird little guys while you play. As an early access game there are improvements that can be made here and there in terms of sorting thengs in menus a little better (it would be nice to filter the list of animals in your park to see them by species for instance) But this is honestly an extremely solid game. I will not be positive based on what they can do in the future but review it on what it has now. Watching an idea slowly but surely become reality is incredibly satisfying, and the paleo-accurate dinosaurs act so realistically, even down to the seamless growth system. This game is wonderful, I love how the dinosaurs in this game are based off of realism, while JWE3 is based off of the movies, and both games have great scenery. So if you like the movies better then check out that game, but most importantly, if you enjoy realism then this is the game for you. If your game starts to lag, just lower shadow quality to off and lower FPS to 30, then exit to main menu and resume your game.

Can't recommend this game, and it's a bummer for me + Dinosaurs look stunning + lots of species + Deep customization - UI is extremely bland and UX makes it feel like a software from work rather than a game - Optimization is TERRIBLE, even for early access, I have an RTX4060ti, 32GB RAM and a i5 13th gen, game doesn't even run at 60fps, deal breaker for me - Crashes frequently, it even crashed my PC once - Everything not related to the animals doesn't look good And it's really important that…

This game is honestly really fun once you get better at it. At first, i had no idea what i was doing.. But after a while, i got the hang of it. It is also easy if you have the right technique

I really like Prehistoric Kingdom because, to me, it’s like ‘Planet Zoo’ but with dinosaurs, and I really enjoy this video game too. It’s still in development, but it’s already got much more than just the basics, and the design is brilliant. In the future, I’d really love it if they added aviaries for pterodactyls, for example, as well as huge aquariums for mosasaurs or megalodons.... In the meantime, the game is excellent, the interface is good (though perhaps a revamp would be nice, to make…

It's been years since I bought Prehistoric Kingdom in Early Access, but back then it was still a bit too uncooked. Now it's been... Probably 5+ years? That gorgeous and well-made game has had time to cook!! Been thinking about getting into some game again, maybe it should be this one.

Incredibly detail and fun for an early access game, and the constant update is amazing. I've never seen a dinosuar zoo game where you have this much flexibility and customization. There's still small glitches here and there, but if I hadn't known more stuff was to come I would have accepted this as a full game! I also love Garry, praise Garry.

Begun to be obsessed with dinosaurs, mainly t-rexes, and loved this game for the realistic depictions of animal behaviors rather than following the crowd that sees dinosaurs as killing machines. My computer handles this game surprisingly well, despite having it's own issues with overheating on games. Worth a buy even if you don't like tycoon type games, as you can always go into a unlimited sandbox mode. Despite being early access and you can still have issues with bugs, I'd definitely…
