Players find Quell a relaxing and challenging puzzle game with well-designed levels. [1][2][3] The game offers good value with many levels and optional objectives like finding hidden jewels. [4][5][6] Some reviewers criticize the game as a mobile port with trial-and-error gameplay. [7][8][9]

The Quell puzzles provide a challenging yet relaxing gaming experience. The design of the 84 levels offers a well-balanced, constantly increasing level of difficulty. If you're stuck sometimes, you can unlock the solution without having to give up points or Steam achievements. The graphics and audio environment contain no disturbing, annoying or distracting elements. They are beautiful and quite minimalistic, but …

A fine, relaxing puzzle game that is neither too easy, nor too frustrating. Everything can be finished by learning from your mistakes (the U and R keys are your friends); I didn't have to use hints until the last few levels. The developers seem to have taken a lot of pleasure in adding red herrings to incite you to get spiked, it's really good fun. I'll most certainly be playing the rest of the trilogy! Edit: after …

For all fans of pure logical puzzles games this is a must-have! Go and buy it NOW!!! Not yet convinced? Ok, the game has simple rules: slide a drop of water around on a window collecting pearls and avoiding spikes. Sounds simple, right? Indeed, it does starts off with easy chambers, then incorporates a nice learning curve and ends up with mind-boggling puzzles (there are also a couple on the way there ;). There are …

This is a great logic game - The levels are well designed with a difficulty going from easy to hard (but not too hard) levels - No timer at all - You can play as as little as you want and continue where you left off or go back to previous levels to complete unfinished objectives - A few levels are hard to finish but a perfect number of moves but there's no penalty for retrying them (there's even an achievement for …

As a matter of fact, it's a decent one. This is a puzzle game. The graphics are basic. The music is adequate. There's no story here. No bugs or crashes. Overall, entertaining. Very casual. Several levels, mostly easy ones with few head-scratchers. The solutions are included if you can't find your way. It includes doable achievements. The content for the price is good value, especially on sale. A relaxing …

60 of 196 · most liked firstAn innovative puzzle game to find the perfect way trough the lines, isnt easy and get tougher and tougher later, but thx guide never to frustrating. The developer really works hard on this game and add even a few positiv things on it like getting extras for achievements, i only miss 2 things more achievements (for getting 10,25-50 gems steps acheivemetns) and 5 trading cards. I can only hope that i have same fun with the 3 other Quell games. For puzzle fans i give 86 % for normal gamers 77 %.…

DELHI, India—Indian authorities enforced an unprecedented crackdown on demonstrations across Delhi on Saturday and Sunday, as student groups and citizen networks, including lawyers and doctors organized to provide support for people protesting a massive purge of voter lists. The government deployed over 20,000 police and paramilitary personnel to prevent protestors from gathering in the city, pulling forces from border areas, including…

Basically you shift orbs throught logical buildup labrinths to collect all pearls with a limit of moves. In higher levels there are added some elements like poisoned orbs, spikes or portals. You can also get stuck in infinite loops. Each level contains a hidden jewel you must find in a second playthrough. The controls are sometimes buggy…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quell is a game many people might pass over due to the game not having much in terms of presentation or marketing budget, but I assure you, if you want a nice, calm, casual, chill puzzle game centered around iceblock push puzzles you'd find in a variety of other games, then by all means, pick up this game and its sequels because the Quell games (and the developers) have a lot of heart and charm and the fact that this is not a game that is in everyone's library at this very instant is baffling…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great puzzle game. There is a "coin system" that allows you to show the perfect solution if you are stuck; these coins are earned (not bought) through normal gameplay. Well worth it at full price, but I bought this game (via the quell collection) on sale while I knew next to nothing about it. Very happy with my purchase.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →quell is a very relaxing puzzle game where you control a raindrop and try to collect all the pearls by bumping from wall to wall. it has all the quality of life options and features (windowed mode, volume sliders, save files, multiple profiles, instantaneous level reset, undo, etc.), a great soundtrack and a variety of ways to play. if you only want to go through the 84 levels quickly, you can do that, you can even use coins you collect to unlock levels apart from the very next one, but you can…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A chill but surprisingly difficult puzzle game, your goal is to navigate through each stage to collect all White Pearls whilst avoiding the spikes. The catch is that Bubbly McBubble only stops moving in one direction once he hits an obstacle. Not THAT easy now, eh? The game introduces some mechanics as you progress, making the game more dynamic and defying. You are also challenged to complete each stage in the minimal amount of moves, and to find a secret gem in each level. Talking about…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun and good puzzle game. My only 2 really really minor nitpicky complaints about it would be that: - the level doesn’t reset itself once you die, - that there are to many damn submenus you need to get through to get to a specific level.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quell is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as if it was a real PC game (it's not)... it's a cash grab from greedy mobile devs. The game is a very simple pathing puzzle game. You control a blue pixel blob. You can move in any direction, but once you start moving, you don't stop until you hit a wall. Basically this is the same game as the countless Russian "Chocolate Makes You Happy" ClickTeam Fusion asset flips infesting Steam. From a technical perspective, as a mobile app, this…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short puzzle game, but finding how to be optimal can take a long time
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Satisfying puzzles. Plenty of thought behind level design, some of it is really clever. Most levels are solvable from the start, but sometimes the perfect solution is over 20 moves and I needed some trial and error.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very fun puzzle game that reminds me of the ice sliding puzzles in the earlier Pokemon games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Interesting puzzle game with simple controls and mechanics. Each level has an optimal way of completion as well as a hidden gem to uncover, giving players multiple goals for each puzzle. Difficulty increases steadily and is never unfair.

To tell the truth I would not be able to 100% this game without a guide as some levels combinations to finish them in a set amount of moves were really crazy and hard to wrap my head around. To 100% this game you not…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A case of too much trial and error, with a touch of style over substance. Pleasant for a while, but some uninspired (trial and error) levels drag it down unnecessarily.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quell is charming and minimal, and I recommend it if you like any sort of puzzle game. Especially if its on sale: there aren't many hours of gameplay here. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quell is a simple but highly polished sliding block puzzle game, with the objective being to collect all of the gems within a 2D grid, navigating around both the basic level geometry and a few hazards/special blocks. Puzzles are generally well-designed, with a few clues in their construction to help you towards working out the 'perfect' (minimum moves) solution, and the game is a good length, comprising 84 puzzles divided into groups of 4. While there are occasional moments of frustration from…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm recommending "Quell," but I do have some issues with it. Mechanics-wise, it's easy to do: move a raindrop left, right, up or down, find a hidden jewel and cross over some number of pearls in the level. Broadly speaking, most of the maps are interesting, fun, and satisfying. Unfortunately, some of the maps (and these tend to be in the last era of them) get so complex that it gets frustrating (and I had to resort to walk-throughs). Of course, this is a puzzle game and, I suppose, puzzles…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You might like if: You want a laid-back, soothing puzzler to wind down with and enjoy. First installment of the zen-tastic Quell series. They are basically the embodiment of relaxing puzzle games. Guiding a raindrop around a board to an artistic backdrop and gorgeous classical music from Steven Cravis The catch is that, when moved, the raindrop won't stop until it hits a wall. For such an unassuming concept, the mechanics are superly executed and the different block types add a fun level of…

neutral · AI labelView post →I first played Quell on the iPhone 10 years ago and rediscovered it here. It is a cool puzzle game that definitely challenges your brain. The built-in guide makes the game easy to understand.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The gameplay is simple, and yet offers many possibilities. It gets challenging fast, but it's very satisfying. And if, like me, you sometimes want to reap a freebie, you can save up points to have the game reveal to you the answer to a puzzle. I personally am not good at puzzles, so this was a must for me. Oddly for a simple puzzle game about sliding a water droplet around, there's actually a tale to tell- or show, rather, as it's understated and expressed almost entirely through the ambient…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Navigating a maze of brilliantly designed puzzles with a humble water droplet as your guide, the challenges are a soothing balm for your mind, igniting your intellect. The difficulty is perfectly balanced, like the ideal note in a Beethoven symphony, but not so tough that it drives you to frustration. You'll stay engaged and immersed. The music is a spellbinding soundtrack that pulls you deeper into the game. You might find yourself timing your droplet’s moves to the rhythm, it’s that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a really beautiful and somewhat challenging puzzle game where you need to collect all the jewels and "orbs" to complete the level. It takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete the game and unlock all the achievements.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A decent puzzle game, starts out real strong but then the later chapters get way too complex, go above the human brain memory limits and turn into a gigantic trial and error fest. Still had a good time though.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely wonderful game. Quell is a puzzle game with very simple rules. Despite of the fact, it is actually quite challenging, especially those levels which are closer to the end of the game. Finishing all levels perfectly might take some time, but it is a satisfying task. The biggest adventages of the game are graphical and musical layers, which combine perfectly with puzzles - making the game not frustrating, but very relaxing. There are calm, pastel backgrounds, beautiful artworks and a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very fun puzzler. There's still a challenge to beat the levels, then to try to beat the levels in as few moves as possible, and finally to find the hidden gem on each level. It's relaxing to play around with the levels trying things out, and it's just a nice, well put together game. Granted, it is a puzzle game, so if you don't like those to begin with, this one likely won't change your mind, but if you do like puzzle games, this one is certainly one of the better ones.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like this game but there is one flaw. Each level has 4 puzzles. (There's a total of 84 puzzles in the game) In order to solve a puzzle, you have to collect all the silver coins. The goal is to do this in the least amount of moves possible without dying. The least amount of moves for each puzzle is called "Perfect" in the game. You can finish a puzzle but if you do not solve it "Perfectly" - you don't get the extra points. Even If you finish a game non-perfectly, it automatically takes…
