I’m really enjoying this game. The narrative is clearly the heart of it, and everything (the mood, atmosphere, sound design, exploration, and puzzles) feels like it’s there to support the story. The puzzles are simple, but they work to keep the focus on the plot. I’m a bit more than 2 hours in, but the thriller vibe and the characters’ deep, emotional backstories are really pulling me in.

In Recall: Empty Wishes you play through 5 "levels" reliving the memories of certain characters. The story was well put together and the attention to detail was fantastic, if you pay attention you might be able to uncover the secrets before they get revealed! The dialogue for the characters was great, each character felt distinct and believable! The game is a psychological horror so it's more on the eerie side. The …

The experience I had playing this game was nothing short of incredible! From the start I was drawn in by its gorgeous visual style: Both the pixel work and hand drawn art are gorgeous and really make the game stand out :D Very soon I was drawn in by the mystery of the introduction and eager to learn what's happening! By the end of the game I was moved to tears. Throughout the game is an incredible soundtrack that …

I really loved this game. As far as gameplay and ambiance, the art, sound design, and exploration-based gameplay make for an unsettling experience that feels so much like stepping into a horror story. But where it really shone for me is in the story. There are a couple endings, so how you feel about the game will depend on how deep you delve, but there's a really stunning story here about grief, love, friendship, …

100% of the 32 Steam reviewers we collected recommend Recall: Empty Wishes. The complaint that keeps coming up: some character arcs feel unfinished. Deal-breaker or nitpick?

But the main thing is It has that classic thing: an office chair with one fucked wheel, so when you roll it it kinda pivots extra much around that wheel. On the physics asset, the wheels are all capsules except that one's a cube

My favourite thing was finding out that when you die in the Total Recall game, an image of Arnold Schwarzenegger appears saying "I'll be back", which as we all know is his most famous line from the movie Total Recall.

Recall elections are common protections, and candidates usually do not need to be approved by the communist party to be elected. This has varied throughout history, but in any case you are deeply misinformed, this isn't simple disagreement.

I also have around 10 hours of gametime, but I played much of it offline in a cafe, so whoopsies on that, Steam :D Review: I'll say right off the bat, if you enjoyed the stories of games such as Omori, To The Moon, or Until Then, there's plenty to like from Recall: Empty Wishes. Taiwan has a fantastic track record with tragic indie horror games (such as Detention…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, I really enjoyed this game, the story, the mystery, the art style, and just to mention, I'm not a fan of this type of games(side-scrolling). But I really enjoyed this psychological thriller. It took me around 3 hours and 30 minutes to finish the game without skipping conversations and explore everything. Depends on your play style it could take from 3 to 4 hours. This is my full no-commentary walkthrough. Recall - Empty Wishes Psychological Thriller | Full Game | Walkthrough Gameplay…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Received a key to demo this game. Just from the description and appearance I thought it looked like a type of game I'd enjoy, and I was definitely right. Very rich with character development, it's a very emotional trip through the psyche of people and their insecurities. The puzzles and clues were well thought out without being overly easy or difficult. This game definitely dedicated itself to the "psychological" aspect of psychological horror. Some additional pluses for me was being able to…

The Story line and the Art are really good, i love the game started with creepiness but ended with.........if you really want to know, there is 2 endings.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Haaaaaaaaaaaaah! The first ending I've got... Attributes way too much to me personally. I am not even surprised at this point. This game is actually pretty good. It not only keeps you interested, it's also a pretty enjoyable thriller/horror. Well... It's mostly creepy versus disturbing horror. (Don't take it from me though, check the images first if you'd like). The story... I liked the supernatural elements and I still have to figure out the mystery sheets and yet... Somehow the…

I was a bit confused at times, but given that there are multiple endings, I'm sure my other playthroughs are going to fill in the gaps I missed. Overall, I had a nice experience playing it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have always liked psychological horror games that is rich in story and this was up my alley it was a instant plus for me. Although I must say some characters did not get a proper closure or felt unsatisfactory like Phoebe and Tommy. Tommy - We were told he went missing? never really got a conclusion about what happened to him like it wasn't very clear. I am still trying to…

neutral · AI labelView post →Went in with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised! The story is told through multiple characters and their perspectives which adds quite a bit of depth to each character. I feel like some dialogues could have been a bit more fleshed out since sometimes characters change their opinions rather quickly within just a few seconds. English translation was pretty good, despite the wording sounding a bit off here and there. In terms of gameplay, it's mostly a walking simulator with…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had a really good time with this one. I’m usually not into horror games at all, but this actually pulled me in. It feels well thought out, like the devs knew exactly what they wanted to make. Visually it’s nice too. Clean UI, solid pixel art, and nothing felt off in the animations or style. Even the gore, while not really my thing, fits what the game is going for. Would I play it again? Maybe, but not anytime soon. More like something I’d revisit in a couple of years. As for the price,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This one was pretty good! I'd rate it as 4/5. As a fan of psychological horror games, I enjoyed it, but I don't feel compelled to find all the secrets and 100% it. If I hadn't gotten stuck at one part for a while and hadn't been idling at one point, I'd estimate my completion time to be around 3.5hrs, and I'm a fast reader. Pros: Pretty good story. Interesting characters. I found all of them pretty compelling, even if one of them had an unfinished (imo) character arc, so each chapter kept…

neutral · AI labelView post →I cannot believe this game only has 39 reviews as I'm writing this. It's so well put together and is frickin gorgeous in every aspect: story, soundtrack, art, well done unsettling horror. Hell, even the way that they used controller vibration to really add a little extra sauce to some scenes is awesome. The story is really beautiful despite how sad it makes me.
