What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 217 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Mixed (696 of 1,511 positive).
Many players criticize the game for poor physics, force feedback, and lack of content. [1][2][3] Several players complain about monetization and forced account creation. [4][5][6]

After an extremely rocky start, including a split with their publisher, they seem to be coming good. Regular updates and new content, some free, some paid. Looks and runs lovely on my system and my moza r5 feels great. Not many players online but because it's xplay with consoles, you can get a few more. It's also very easy to set up a private race with friends. A solid 7.5 / 10 for me.

I have been using the free version for a little while and was put off by all the bad reviews, but after a bit of tinkering I finally decided I quite liked it, so I purchased it today. I like it so far, although I am a single player person (and old), I suppose it's up to everyone to make their own minds up. Looking forward to future updates.

Positive reviews must be paid for or posted by people who have never played a racing game before, not to mention a sim. FFB is pathetic, binding keys on a steering wheel or button box doesn't work AT ALL (MOZA KS + custom Arduino-based button box), can't disable in-game steering wheel rendering (I tried really hard). The whole thing feels like an amateur made school project in UE5. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I bought …

Anyone rating this game as 1.0 in its current state shows exactly what they think of their own product. Rennsport has more construction sites than the German Autobahn and takes just as long to address them. The cars don't feel connected to the road, the feedback is mushy and utterly meaningless. The interior and exterior sounds (e.g., Porsche GT3) aren't even worth calling bad—that would be a compliment. The content …

open the game, go to the shop (assuming you can buy tracks separately there), realize they are selling liveries for 2-6 EUROS, quit and never come back again whichever genius came up with this marketing masterclass deserves their employer going bankrupt and ending up without a job themselves, just a shame for the developers behind this piece of...slighlty outside of my expectations (joke I had no expectations) …

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Free to play gives very limited access to the game. 1 car and barely a handful of tracks. It should be called a playable demo rather than free to play. I guess its good, because it saved me the hassle of getting a refund. The force feedback is low quality. Loose, basic, and kind of dull. It does include XESS, a rarity. The game ran graphically ok. There was some aliasing shimmer, but looks fine otherwise. The mirrors are very poor quality. It definitely needs more time in the…

Edit - Now i cannot even change settings. A broken mess and im massivlely vexxed i have been robbed via early access... never doing an early access again

(And we’re no exception!) But what about the stinkers, the flops, the dead-on-arrival turds? We want to take a few moments to honor the low achievers of 2025, the absolute worst games of the year according to review aggregator Metacritic. Are all of these games truly as terrible as the reviews…
neutral · AI labelView post →I supported this game as a Gold Founder because I had high hopes for it, and most importantly, it had somewhat playable VR. Now I’ve read it's already version 1.x, it looks more like 0.1. The game is ugly for something made in Unreal Engine 5. I couldn't bind the buttons on my button box. Since there's no VR, I could only test the force feedback, which feels strange. Sure, I could play around with it and assign the buttons, but why bother? I could tweak the FFB, but why bother? As for VR, I’m…

Controls are bad. AI is... well, absolutely terrible. This isn't a racing game, this is one big pile of ♥♥♥♥. Shame on you developers, for scamming people with this garbage!

Filled in all the info on their website and it keeps saying I need to do the reCaptcha yet nothing shows and I tried on 3 different browsers... negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →hard meh the problem with releasing an unfinished game is that by the time you reach version 1.0 your playerbase is already bored by it and wants something more and so you struggle to play catch up. i know its a small team but no, this is not how you do things. you can say better to be released in a wip state and get the product in the hands of the players asap but that only works if its something novel and innovative. with so many sims out there players try this for .5 of a second and then go…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rennsport is a piece of garbage. The AI cars are out of control. When they wreck you - you are the one who is penalized. Your car will never be as fast as the AI cars. This game was not designed to provide some fun for the person who paid for the game. This game was designed to cause the maximum level of frustration. The company has done nothing to correct the behavior of the AI cars. $50 bucks down the toilet. It would have been better spent giving it away to a stranger.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, it was a tight fight between Assetto Corsa EVO, Rennsport, and Project Motor Racing to see who can release the most unfinished game into early access - but having to put out a statement on day one is championship material projectmotorracing.com/newsArticle....
negative · AI labelView post →I respect the Balls to call this "the future of racing simulation, competition and digital car culture" To start with the Objective Criticism: Visual Presentation lacks bunch of Refinement. Terrible Ghosting, weird lightning in the garage that make the cars look... idk.. "plastic" There's definitely room for Improvement there. Driving in General feels Off from little that i did. Comparing this to Iracing or AC it feels off. Unfortunately i cannot describe this feel. "Floaty" wouldnt…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Refunded the game while i could. Read down below why This game is like buying an alpha but wearing the mantle as a full release for full release price. Barely anything works properly, ui design and user experience was put 10 seconds of thought in and was probs closed with "it works". Who thought it was a good idea to set keybindings on a click and another assign button popup deserves to get send back to school. Epic graphics settings and changing sliders for max distance rendering means that…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game feels like it's still in alpha and looks and runs like it's still in beta. But apparently this is supposed to be the full release... That aside, if you didn't pre-order it, then you can't get the Ford Mustang GT3 anymore. Why? Why lock cars behind a pre-order? That Mustang should be a part of the base game! Force Feedback and physics aren't good. For 50€, you can get something like LMU, which is way better in every regard, besides diversity. But speaking of diversity, this game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I finally tried Rennsport… and honestly, I didn’t last more than 5 laps. Test was done at Monza with the McLaren 720S GT3 Evo. Despite everything, lap times were roughly in line with what I’d expect. The issue is not performance — it’s the driving experience. Let’s start with the basics. Force Feedback This is the biggest issue. In corners: nothing. No load, no front-end feel, just a constant background noise. Completely dead. In braking you feel something, but it’s all mashed together…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the game is utterly crap, its buggy, unrealistic and has so many bad moneyhungry elements, its like the fortnite for motorsport 0/10, would never recomend this, spend your money on base assetto corsa instead you will have an amazing experience compared to this crap
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is absoulte hot garbage, the physics mox make roblox racing games look hyper realistic, the cars are all under the a massive pay wall, even circuits cost money. Above all the price is 9 times the one of asseto corsa, which you can mod and add cars yourself, instead of " the future of racing" . Over all if you bought this game, you got robbed of your money and might as well give it away.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game makes me want to apologise to my internet for having to download it, my ssd for having to store it, my gpu for having to render it and my monitor for having to display it. 61.2 hours in the playtest btw, the floaty force feedback and sudden loss of grip on corners still is the same as it always was, not to mention the microtransactions that are WAY worse than iRacing (which is actually good and will most likely cost you LESS in the long run than this game) The only good thing about…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is no where near the money. The handling model is bad, ai has no clue on track, and runs into you. The online mode never wants to load the cars on the grid, then you're stuck hitting people that are not there. I DON'T suggest this game at all. Then if you want to return it. They say no due to the hours you have invested in just trying to get it to work how it should. Would recommend AC Evo, I Racing, and even Forza Motorsports over this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →EDIT: I'm updating my review simply to call out the fact that the developers have discounted ALL of the negative reviews to leave the game with a "Very Positive" rating on Steam. Any developer willing to manipulate reviews instead of listening to valid criticism is the absolute scum of the earth. My review still stands - do not buy, do not even bother downloading the free version of the game. Get as far away from RENNSPORT and play literally any other racing game, even if it's Project Motor…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the sh*ttiest car game i've ever played...what can i say - ugly graphics bad physics, badly optimized, I couldn't belive my eyes when i saw the graphics were on the highest setting. what's wrong with those games? it should be a sim not a ****** mobile game! Why we need $1000 graphics cards, dlss and 1000fps to play those sh*tty games?! I remember playing GTR 2 on a pentium 4 - 18 years ago!! and that game was FUN!

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nah man. This is just frustrating overall than fun. Also the dev's bold claim of "Photorealistic" sim is quite pathetic. If this is what photorealism means to them, they should go outside and see the real world. Looks like a random cheap PS4 game.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i tried really hard to like this game but logged in and got 1 car and 1 track. everything is locked behind a p2p wall. at least make the packs cheaper because 70 and 50 bucks is crazy. i think if i had the budget it would be okay but i dont have 120 dollars to waste on a racing game. overall without the paywall its meh but id rather play rFactor 2 that has mods and the tracks and cars arent an investment. negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Let the game cook a while longer. The visuals and FFB feel great however I get constant errors stating that it doesn't support my Fanatec wheel plus there is no weather, rear views look horrible and there isn't enough content. negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Alright, after a couple of more hours of gameplay, I can say what I think. It was an amazing experience at the beginning, since everything felt fresh, compared to other sims I've played. However, at this point, I started to get bothered by the lack of content and fixes I'm still hoping for. There is no "restart" button, except when you're doing time trial. I know, and hope, they'll come with the minimum we all, who paid a lot of money on this, have already experienced in great sims; Rennsport…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To assign it as 1.0 is an act of profound self-delusion for any developer to consider this a finished product. The driving mechanics are an utter disgrace. The cars exhibit all the road-holding capability of a hovercraft on ice. The cars don't feel connected to the road. The visual presentation is not pleasant. The game is plagued by relentless ghosting, a distracting smear across the screen that betrays a complete lack of technical polish. The lighting and shadow systems are bizarre.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's absolutely nothing I can say that hasn't been said by anyone else. It looks like Rfactor 1, but runs comically poorly. Physics are mediocre on a good day when they aren't broken. This game has nothing that other sim racing games have, with the exception of paid animated liveries. Because that was necessary.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is really cool, its prob more of an entry sim than a true to life sim. Don't get me wrong this is not an arcade game like forza horizon 5. The cars are grippy wonder what tire physics model they are using. Look the game is free to play so there is no reason to argue its also still in development which I give the dev props as the game is getting better over time. The only grip i have is the lack of free cars , sucks you have to buy you cars right off the bat to play different…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Driving model is decent for the most part, if a little simplistic but the game still feels like it's in Early Access. Not enough cars or tracks, definitely not enough real tracks and not enough single-player content. Controls and FFB took a bit of fiddling with to set up properly for my Moza wheel and pedals. Terrible and exploitative in-game economy. Only 12 cars in a Single-Player race is pathetic. Graphics and performance are below average on a system which well exceeds the recommended specs…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Couldn't get off the start line because it won't not read my throttle and brake as the same no matter if I invert the brakes or throttle. If there was a star rating system I'd rate it 0/10 for being unable to properly use the majority of steering wheels on market that have one axis for throttle and break. The game should lose it's sim status until they fix this issue
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Couldn't get my controller to work, even though there's built in controller support. Gave up after 3 attempts and uninstall the game.
