Shame
Directed by Steve McQueen
Brandon, a thirty-something man living in New York, eludes intimacy with women but feeds his deepest desires with a compulsive addiction to sex. When his younger sister temporarily moves into his apartment, stirring up bitter memories of their shared painful past, Brandon's life, like his fragile mind, gets out of control. From TMDB

Shame there’s just no films like that.

neutral · AI labelView post →Tough weekend for David Zaslav. Shame Warner Bros. can't just pull a hit Memorial Day movie out of a box somewhere, like some family-friendly John Cena comedy about Wile. E. Coyote or something, I'm just spitballing here.
neutral · AI labelView post →Shame they didn’t have the guts to call the lady John Wick movie “Barbara Yaga.”
neutral · AI labelView post →Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender is a gorgeous, positively breathtaking achievement of animation. I am sincerely blown away by the sheer amount of work that went into every frame. The action, the character acting, the posing, the choreography. ❤️ Shame its story is "anime original movie" material.

neutral · AI labelView post →Learn from Chicago. ORGANIZE! Buy whistles and let people know when ICE/CBP is in the 'hood. Film them relentlessly. Shame them relentlessly. People will still be detained but you will be able to prevent many other detentions. They are like roaches who scatter when the light comes on.
neutral · AI labelView post →It's true: JUROR #2 is a rock-solid good old-fashioned movie, and it is insane that the studio treated it like an unpleasant obligation instead of a new movie from one of their most trusted filmmakers. Shame on them.
neutral · AI labelView post →Striking while the iron's RED HOT! Seriously though, this film has been in the works since 2007, and has changed hands and studios multiple times. Shame it couldn't have happened during the franchise's glory days, but at least now big Dave can get in! AND HE BETTER!
neutral · AI labelView post →Just re-watched Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. I was afraid I wasn't gonna like it as much as the first time I saw it, but no, but that movie absolutely fucking rocks. Shame we'll probably never get a sequel 😭
neutral · AI labelView post →Rewatched 'Tremors' with my kid. I've said it before, but that film is magnificent and an absolute fucking masterclass in foreshadowing. Deeply satisfying, not a second wasted. Shame it gets dismissed as a 'monster movie' because it is a solid Top 5 film of all time. Perfection.
neutral · AI labelView post →Like...see? Raya and Sisu's first meeting is REALLY FUN, I love this sort of size/species difference interaction nonsense, and she's so bouncy and noodly and expressive, the animators had a blast! ... And then she's human for most of the rather overstuffed film... Shame. Shame shame.

neutral · AI labelView post →Shame they never made a 70s X-Men movie with Daniel Craig & Mark Strong as Sabretooth & Wolverine.
neutral · AI labelView post →“A Low Down Dirty Shame” is my comfort movie.
positive · AI labelView post →Jurassic Park still whips, man. Just an amazing movie, top to bottom. Shame they only made one of these.

neutral · AI labelView post →I'm really grateful that both Dune and LOTR have canonical movie renditions that are basically perfect. Shame about the hobbit.
neutral · AI labelView post →Just found out that there are people out there, maybe even people on here, who liked the Section 31 film. Shame on you all.
neutral · AI labelView post →Favourite movie not set on Earth? Planet of the Apes (Shame I've never got round to watching the end of it - apparently there's a twist?)
neutral · AI labelView post →The Matrix was a great movie. Shame they never made any sequels.

neutral · AI labelView post →I saw this last night. Dark, compelling, beautiful. Great film. Shame there were only about 6 people in the screening. I don't understand why people would pass this up
positive · AI labelView post →Best first 45 minutes in a long while. Shame about uhhh the remaining film
neutral · AI labelView post →Yep, that is a good fun film with some very clever bits. Shame about the fandom. But hey, people probably say that about half the fandoms I'm in...
neutral · AI labelView post →Let's start by being nice. The invisible Data bit is good fun. Shame it comes after the most boring opening credits of any action film.
neutral · AI labelView post →Tonight’s film, Verity. Kind of a bummer. I was really engaged with it until a twist ending that’s just so stupid it drags the whole thing down. Shame, especially because I really like Dakota Johnson and pine for the day that she gets to be in a good movie for once. Incredibly interesting actress.
negative · AI labelView post →Not only did it swipe the “shredded backlit” title gimmick from the The Thing (1982), it also swiped the 1980s Carpenter movie credits font. Shame is for cowards in the realm of Hollywood jobbers.
neutral · AI labelView post →If I have one solitary complaint about this movie, it’s that when the hillbilly son gets beheaded while his mom is cooking stew in a big stewpot next to a window, Jason does not throw his head directly into the pot. A real missed opportunity and frankly I’m disappointed in the filmmakers. Shame!
negative · AI labelView post →Shame (2011) #film #filmsky
neutral · AI labelView post →So what I'm taking from this is that I've never had any real friends because nobody ever made sure I had seen the best evil lesbian movie ever made. Shame. Don't let this happen to me again
neutral · AI labelView post →you fucked this one, Ellie, the instructions said to name a film with a nurse, maid, or butler. OR Clue has a Maid AND a butler. SHAME UPON YOUR HOUSE
neutral · AI labelView post →Want to start a scene like this. Shame they screwed up IX, would love an entire movie of Kylo mentally fucking with Rey.
neutral · AI labelView post →Honestly the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice script sucked but I thought Burton really went for it, you could tell he was having a party with that movie. Shame it’s still that movie.
neutral · AI labelView post →This is a good point. Shame no-one was still awake at the end of the film to find out how. 😉
neutral · AI labelView post →Steve McQueen (with scenes from his film "Shame") - BOTD
neutral · AI labelView post →Shame this wasn’t in the movie.
neutral · AI labelView post →Shame that Parker Finn is out, but I'll always turn up for a David Brucker horror movie after seeing 'The Night House', which is sooooo underrated.
neutral · AI labelView post →Great movie. Shame the durector spontaneously combusted after finishing it.
neutral · AI labelView post →Shame its taken so long for most to finally catch up. Perhaps they can fill the absence of cinema releases by catching up on the Glazers or Mondelez whove been torching their leveraged empires down around them for two decades now. Should be an ideal replacement for a good horror film, right?
neutral · AI labelView post →I missed the final Jackass in theaters, but finally got around to watching it this afternoon. These guys were a pretty big highlight of my high-school years, and it's been a journey watching them through my adult years. Movie is a reminder that we are all getting old. Shame Dunn couldn't be there.
neutral · AI labelView post →Lego Store in Manchester recreating the greatest action sequence in any film ever*. Shame the bus colours are wrong though. *Victoria Beckham driving the bus in Spice World: The Movie, obvs
neutral · AI labelView post →HAPPY HALLOWEEN! 🎃 The Hardware girls are enjoying themselves, and corporate even allows costumes! You can really tell which of them really loves Halloween, huh? Shame there's no furniture store themed horror movie... Tannis loves to make themed costumes. I guess it's just the way she's wired...
neutral · AI labelView post →Ayyyy more Looney Tunes, hell yeah! I even see Speedy Gonzales back there, that’s awesome. Shame about what movie they chose to play it in front of, tho. (I wonder how deliberate that is considering how WB treats the IP?)
neutral · AI labelView post →Shame they never made a ninth movie
neutral · AI labelView post →Got a date with Drac tonight so not sure I'll make it back in time! Shame, this is my favourite Rollin film! #thefilmcrowd

neutral · AI labelView post →Going to the Movies with a flirty short-stack can result in a great time. Shame I can't remember a thing about the movie. We should do it again sometime. The Jackal woman belongs to a friend of mine CrazyWoofer Art by awd vgen.co/awd #furryart #Ryzenart
neutral · AI labelView post →You guys used to be the rulers of pre-movie ads. Wanta Fanta was stuck in all our heads long after Return Of The King had faded. Shame. Embarrassment. Dishonor.
neutral · AI labelView post →Watched the original Friday the 13th (1980) at the Prince Charles Cinema this afternoon. The last time I saw this film in the cinema I was 13 years old… (Shame they showed the cut R-rated US version but it was still a treat to see it on a big screen again).
neutral · AI labelView post →Im just gonna start posting about horror movies as we get down to the last days before Hallowed Halloween, with NO reason or real organization just need to POST Got to show this to some friends a week ago, still the best Lovecraft story adaptation. Shame the director is a douche. Good movie though
positive · AI labelView post →I grew up in France and I learnt a lot in this movie. A bit chest beating, but I loved that de Gaulle is also unbearable pompous. Shame the polish plumber is symbolic. 2nd part is equally good.
positive · AI labelView post →The West has almost routinely invaded and changed regimes for far less. Yet here we are watching the Holocaust return. Shame on everyone supporting that by inactivity and silence. Lives are lives.
neutral · AI labelView post →Seen it, loved it, and acquired this poster as soon as the film was announced. Proper throwback to classic teaser posters this one. Shame we'll likely never get another now after the unfair pasting the whole project's been given. I'm with Ben Affleck (!) on this one. #filmsky #art #digger
neutral · AI labelView post →Very much enjoyed part 1 of De Gaulle (Résistance) and looking forward to the 2nd part next week. Shame I had to pop out to the loo halfway, and ended up sitting on the front row for the battle of Bir Hakeim 🫣 www.filmhouse.org.uk/movie/de-gau...
neutral · AI labelView post →Resting, having a nap etc. seems to have worked so going to the other film I had tickets for today. Shame about Ray Gunn though. A kid friendly fusturistic crime film would've been a nice contrast to what I'm expecting to be a bleak contemporary film. Oh well! Not meant to be.
neutral · AI labelView post →Shame she's in the govt sector bc she'd make an amazing extra in a ghoul or zombie film
neutral · AI labelView post →Thinking also M. Night Shame-about-the-last-film (not mine, but Mark Kermode) - critics were very kind to him (even about The Village which I quite liked) but then puts in an arrogant film critic who gets killed horribly in that Lady in the Water turkey. Same energy.
neutral · AI labelView post →I’m gonna say best Batverse movie since RBattz played The Batman, easily. Shame it’s come out in a year when there are SO MANY extremely great movies out, including original movies, and some of the greatest horror of the generation. It’s a 5* movie in a year of 7* movies.
