Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 174 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (224 of 245 positive).
Players praise Snacktorio as a charming and well-crafted factory puzzle game that breaks the genre into manageable levels. [1][2][3]

For a factory game, it's foundations are good. Story is good. Art, music, and other design elements are good. The issue is that it's barely a factory game. It's closer to a puzzle game, but there is no puzzle. Let me explain: The game consists of a series of levels where you make 1-3 meals. This is good in the tutorial to learn the ropes, but very quickly runs into major issues. The first is that you cannot plan out …

This game is an excellent translation of factory game verbs into a level-based puzzle game. I reached credits at time of writing, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time with it. You can tell the devs know what they're doing and really poured their heart into it. I would say how much you enjoy it depends mainly on how much you're willing to meet the game on its own terms. Here are some examples of how this game differs …

This game is extraordinarily well crafted. All of the joy and puzzlement of a factory game, but parceled into bite size chunks that continue to expand your understanding as it also increases in complexity. This feels like the perfect introduction to factory games. The level-based structure was a surprise to me at first, having mostly played games like factorio and satisfactory, but I found it to be even better than …

I am loving this game it kind of feels like a more casual relaxing mindustry. It keeps the same charm of their previous 2 games, which I also enjoyed. Each level feels like a puzzle trying to piece together lines of machines to craft different ingredients into a final meal which you then feed to the great void monsters. It is simple because there are only a few machines you have to work with, the complexity comes …

I almost refunded during all the tutorials because it was so on rails about where you could build and what you could do. I'm glad I didn't because once you are past them the game immediately opens up. It's a great little game. I'm enjoying the challenge level element to it rather than the open ended challenge of Satisfactory or Factorio. It gives somewhat of a puzzle element to it. Recommended.

Players who liked Snacktorio talk about level-based design makes it feel like a puzzle; those who didn't talk about inventory management is unintuitive. Which matters more to you?

My first game was APICO, a chill beekeeping sim - I'm now working on Snacktorio, a cooking factory sim & Mudborne, a spiritual successor to APICO but with frogs!

neutral · AI labelView post →A dev made their own little Factorio about feeding a monster instead of growing a factory, and the name Snacktorio is just one clever part of its Steam Next Fest demo. Snacktorio is a little less sandbox and a little more sautee
neutral · AI labelView post →After only being a few hours in its clear this game is worth is surprisingly low price tag. As a big fan of automation games I can say this game is worth the price. The main issue with the game (and the main reason I'm writing this review) is that the inventory management is incredible unintuative and could do with some inspiration from other games in the genre. Why is tool I use to place a pipe, machine or wire not also able to break it? Why do I need a tool to build machines when a hotkey…

neutral · AI labelView post →Sigh, another "level based" factory game. Too many scripted/tutorial levels. Players like to build factories, I dunno why that's so complicated. People dont' want to walk through mini-factory "levels". Bleh, what a shame.

neutral · AI labelView post →If you like Factorio and reverse-engineering your builds, this game is perfect. It starts off simply enough in the first two worlds, but I can already tell this is going to give me the same challenges I'm used to in Satisfactory with getting nuclear power running etc, (without the same degree of headache :p) The tutorial levels will probably take about 10 min to get thru and I'd rec them just because some of the controls aren't as intuitive as you'd expect and some of the hotkeys will make…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i love that there are small levels rather than be completely open world. feels much more goal-focused with clear tasks to complete. does a great job of introducing new mechanics in a digestible (ha ha) way. I love this game so much I bought 2 gift copies for my friends because a) it's fun and they will enjoy it and b) the devs deserve alllll the love. i have played their previous two games and loved them too :3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Make monsters go "Nom nom nom" to save the world. What more is there to say? All jokes aside, another great game from ellraiser. After Apico and Mudborne I can wholeheartedly recommend this one.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent factory automation puzzle game. And it is a puzzle game. You go level to level figuring out how to best automate what you need, so each level ends up being a bit of a puzzle. Also, shoutout to the dev for being quick with fixes when bugs are brought up.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Happy Friday everyone! Tonight I'll be returning to SNACKTORIO! The full game is out now and I loved the demo so much that we're playing more! positive · AI labelView post →Perfect little indie game you will spend many hours with if you love automation and problem solving. It's especially fun how the game reinvents itself throughout the levels. It doesn't get boring. There's always something new to learn / a new and unseen problem to solve - without overwhelming the player or getting tedious. 10/10, waiting on Snacktorio 2 ;)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm enjoying this cooking automation game Snacktorio. it's by the same dev as APICO and Mudborne, and has cute eldritch vibes. Looks like there's a lot of complexities i haven't touched yet over 3 hours, but i've been very satisfied by the puzzles so far 😊 store.steampowered.com/app/1902940/...

neutral · AI labelView post →One of the better games i have played recently and the art style is amazing. It is also incredibly cheap for how good it is. But be aware on more difficult levels as to many ingredients can cause enormous lag.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is such a good game, and if I understand correctly, devs intend to add even more content. I'm genuinely enjoying this one so much. PS: Devs are also very responsive which is very cool to see. For such a low price, I wouldn't hesitate buying it.

negative · AI labelView post →I wanted to wait till I had more hours in the game before I reviewed this, but I need people to know how great this game is. This developer never disappoints. The game is extremely relaxing and fun to puzzle through. The mechanics so far have been introduced at a very great pace. I always loved the aspect of working factories in a limited space (Looking at you Liminal Industries Minecraft Modpack) and this game HITS the spot. 100% worth the pricetag, try out the demo first and you will see
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dev reached out to me with a demo of Snacktorio which is exactly what it sounds like. Factorio with the munchies. Tonight's 5 to 9, after the 9 to 5! (actually starting around 6:30 lol) store.steampowered.com/app/1902940/...
neutral · AI labelView post →The game is kind of fun but the grinding gets tedious too quickly compared to the progression/reward. The story is revealed too slowly and there are too few upgrades. Also different meals doesn't provide different end results (the monsters eat them all the same with the same speed and same comments) so that was kind of disappointing. I like the idea of making food but unfortunately cannot recommend this game because there are better games. If you like grinding with meanings, mindustry rewards…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is quite fun. Lots of interesting mechanics that keep you in the game. Plenty of humor and lil imps causing mischief :3 Sometimes it feels like more of a puzzle game than a factory game but that might just be me. If you tried the demo and was interested at all, know that the full game adds a huge amount of levels, mechanics and overall content on that.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, anything this dev comes out with I buy without even reading the description. And i have loved every one. This one is a great logic/building/factory puzzle game. Great job as usual Dev's!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I greatly recommend this game. Good for fans of the production line genre, designed logic puzzles, and plotting and scheming. It's a fun and challenging game. I enjoy the level structure a great deal and the constraints, limited space to build or picky ingredients etc., for the areas are thoughtful and interesting puzzles. This is a very difficult but very forgiving game. The pixel art is beautiful. The screen is very readable even with how cluttered I can get a snacktory. I love the manual…

neutral · AI labelView post →I played mudborne and apico, so I was really excited when Snacktorio was released! The demo was a bit hard for me, but I think it's because I was getting familiar with the mechanics and vibe of the game. Bought it today and I am so impressed. Well done!! I am a few levels into the first world, but I love it. Fantastic tutorial(s), cute story. I have never played a factory game before (unless you count mincraft create mod) and it feels quite natural :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It had been a looong while since my last look at @tngineers.bsky.social's Snacktorio, so the updated Steam Next Fest demo was a perfect excuse to dive back in now that it's being actively worked on. positive · AI labelView post →I’m LOVING the game and the whole vibe flows like tomato sauce. My systems are a cluttered mess but they get the job done and I’m getting better. Easy recommendation. Back to cooking.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic little factory sim. It manages to improve on the classic Satisfactory/Factorio formula in some really innovative ways. In some ways it's a lot "easier" than those games, but it's by no means "easy", and the complexity ramps up steadily as you go. I especially enjoy the simplified tube/conveyer system that lets you route everything onto the same line and then filter out items into specific production lines as needed.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In the past, I've found similar automation games a little hard to get into and start, but this is really easy to get up and running. I think the level based nature helps in alleviating some of the pressure to excessively plan and be excessively neat as you won't be spending as much time in the same level. I also really feel and enjoy the inspiration that comes from BuildCraft!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i am about 2 hrs in (around an hour playhing offline in steam deck), very interesting factory building. i use controller to play and the control take some time to get used to. the game is divided in levels and the difficulty scale up in a gentle way. if you want a lighter factory building with some new ideas and theme, for this price you cant really go wrong.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lovely game! There's so much depth it's insane, if you're the type of person that likes to build crazy machines & automate everything, it's the right game for you. Plus, who wouldn't like having a group of cute imps following you around while you build! I do <3

positive · AI labelView post →This is a level-based puzzle game with a factory vibe and a fun chef to elder gods theme. The UI, pixel art, and sound design are superb. Unlike traditional factory games where you might be pulling all your resources to a central mega-factory to process and assemble, each level of Snacktorio is hand crafted to present unique challenges and twists. Often void corruption from the elder gods or indestructible alloy walls from the old, abandoned factories mean you can't build where you want, so…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →More of a puzzle game than a true factory game. Limited inputs, limited build areas, and slow, tedious platforming, routing and tweaking. The bones of something much more fun are in here, but it's held back by design that gets in the way of actually having fun building a factory.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is very satisfying to play! It has a very similar visual and UI style to the developers' other games, which are all very well made, so if you are a fan of the "series" it's very consistent and easy to familiarize with. The core gameplay is a mixture of Factorio and Terraria - building a 2D factory, but it's from the side rather than top-down. This doesn't fundamentally change how the factory works. But since you are physically travelling in the factory, it feels a bit more immersive…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute, chill and deeply satisfying. Grew a batch of adorable imps and then watched helplessly as they climbed into a pneumatic tube and fed themselves to a towering eldritch void. New mechanics and tweaks make every level interesting, and while you'll be rewarded for optimizing your factory, you're mostly free to assemble a tidy and functional snack-dispensing machine at your own pace. BOUNCE PADS WOO
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An overwhelmingly positive experience. + The theme is charming and provides a "gimmick" that a lot of factory games lack. + Personal preference, but I prefer level based factory games like Infinifactory instead of open world games like Factorio or Satisfactory. + Open levels are fun to explore + MOST* challenge levels make me think and are very fun (*more on challenge levels in the negatives section) + The seemingly endless unique mechanics keep things fresh even to the end game. + Everything…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ultimately i dont recommend the game because the mechanics just dont feel fully fleshed out and the complexity isnt satisfying to figure out. the 2d nature of all the pipes and machines makes the solutions quite uninteresting to figure out and needlessly complicated. there are way too many machines thrown at you so quickly but they all feel like they do the same thing. the recipes are never interesting enough to memorize so you just keep banging the ingredient together until it works.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I cannot believe this game is not more highly rated. It's actually fantastic and takes a really interesting approach the genre; charming dialogue, frustrating (in the best way) puzzles, and a real sense of worldbuilding AND a plotline. As a person who loved Warcraft III where every level taught a new skill in the campaign, I think the pacing is excellent. Every time I've learned a new trick, I have to learn a new trick. I love that this isn't just a Sandbox, but I do hope for a big map at some…
