What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 17 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (73 of 82 positive).
Many reviewers note the inclusion of the original arcade version as a welcome bonus. [1][2][3] Several players find the price too high for the content offered. [1][2][4]

Sadly, the price is a bit high. That could be not a problem but lacking remote play together kills any possible fun having friends. The lack of those princess stages hurts too. i cant say is a good purchase unless was cheap

love this game... brings back so many memories.. and now i can play it on the deck ^_^

A worthy remake of an underappreciated classic, much better on Steam than competing platforms because here they did the right thing and included the original arcade version in the package. That said, $30 is pretty steep and anyone who isn't a true obsessive (*ahem*) will probably want to wait for a price break.

An amazing remake of my favorite childhood game on the NES. The developers did a fantastic job preserving the atmosphere and spirit of the original while adding modern visuals and new gameplay features. I spent countless hours playing the original as a kid, and this remake brings back all those memories in the best possible way. The co-op mode is especially well done — playing together is incredibly fun and …

If you grew up pumping quarters into arcade cabinets, this remake is an easy recommendation. The core gameplay loop remains solid, controls feel crisp, and playing couch co-op brings back the best retro vibes. Perfect for quick sessions.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's just a childhood game, the remaster is a little bit more complicated than on dendy and sega, but there is also the original,it's very cool, thanks for reviving such hits, the only disadvantage is the price is too high, but in general the game is very cool.

neutral · AI labelView post →My #1 favourite arcade game of all time! I was looking forward to its release! To be honest I mainly wanted to play the old school arcade mode but I very much welcomed the remastered one (especially the extra levels). The new modes added are great, I loved playing as the monsters that usually try to kill me! That being said, the game does cost quite a lot for what it offers. Don't get me wrong, I'd buy it even if the cost was 50€ but for someone who would rather spend that much money somewhere…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I was a little kid, there was this tall guy, a full-grown man actually, who would come to the children's arcade and play this game. When he started, every kid, including me, would stand around him and watch him play because he was so incredible at it. My time limit in the arcade(because I lived in a dangerous neighborhood so I had to go home before sunset) and his arrival time were quite close so I always couldn’t watch til the end but there were rumors saying that he could finish the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Snow Bros Special (Switch): Was reminded of one I’d forgotten - this remake of a Bubble Bobble style game was a nice surprise and I genuinely like the new graphics over the (slightly ugly) arcade originals. The balance is nowhere near as good as Bubble Bobble, but it’s a very enjoyable co-op game.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Has anyone played the Snow Bros. Special (remake) on the Switch, feels like the game is polling inputs badly on me but I'm not sure if it's the controller - anyone play it?
