Sophia the Traveler is a beautiful looking Hidden Object game, but it's also one of the most frustrating I've ever played. Maybe even THE most frustrating. I love hidden-object games but this one is tedious to get through. The maps get increasingly bigger and even with the zoom out they're very difficult to navigate. The visuals and the (frankly) annoying YAY after each find would suggest the target group are children. But I doubt there is a child who would not get extremely frustrated while playing this. TOP TIER HIDDEN OBJECT GAME! It's like Where's Wally/Waldo, but instead of looking for one person you are given a list of people/animals/object to find in a very beautiful, vibrant and colorful living background! Just looking at the animated background can be relaxing and satisfying, accompanied by the music and the ambience. Must buy if you are a fan of the genre!

Sophia the Traveler is a serene and visually rich hidden object game developed by Memo Gogo and published by Thermite Games that transforms sightseeing into a slow, contemplative act of discovery. Set against a lovingly illustrated version of Venice, the game invites players to step into the shoes of Sophia, a cheerful traveler accompanied by her dog and parrot, and experience the city not through objectives or time …

It’s a hidden object game with really nice hand-drawn art that makes the scenes feel like you are walking around Venice. Everything is very colorful and full of detail, which looks beautiful, but also makes it harder to find things. The gameplay is simple. You just look for hidden objects and characters in each scene. But many items are placed in tricky spots, sometimes very small or hidden in busy areas. Some …

I really wish there were a true neutral rating option here, because this game isnt bad… but it also didnt completely win me over. There are so many adorable hidden object games out there that I usually love, and for me, this one just didnt quite hit the spot. Though honestly, that might just be a me problem lol. My biggest frustration was the map layout. You have to zoom out just to see the full area, and my blindasss challenged self was truly not happy. There is also a well known bug that,…

I LOVE interactive hidden object games and I was so excited for this one, there really aren't enough of them and this looked so promising. This game has things I love: huge maps, hand drawn art, cute and funny detail. Unfortunately, there's just too many issues with this game that come together to make it unenjoyable. It turns out that the huge maps are, in fact, actually the same or very similar maps, just with different things to find. I ended up quitting after playing the same map twice…

Firstly, the music and sound effects were annoying and even though I turned the sound all the way down, it was still playing. Secondly, the symbols to move back, forward, scroll, etc. were vague if at all present. Thirdly, their close-up screens were insufficient and/or difficult, making finding items very difficult. I am going to ask Steam to take this game out of my library. That's how much I don't like it.

This game has a lot of wasted potential, so I hope the devs improve it over time. The art and animations are cute and vibrant, the artist did a good job! The level design and quality control is pretty bad though. The user interface is really basic - it's not clear which parts can be scrolled or clicked on, some text overlaps badly with backgrounds and is hard to read, the speed of the camera panning is affected by the current zoom (which feels really bad), etc. Objects in levels are often on…

This game is unnecessarily difficult, and would've been better if the "clues" were mostly actually useful, especially given how large some of the maps are. It got to the point where I'd just leave the game running for the hints to fill up, and use them to find everything so I could get the achievements and wouldn't have to play it anymore.

Love hidden object games, hated this one. The maps are often way too big, they repeat (same people on one map in different places, same places on different maps, etc), and the hints you get for the targets are not helpful at all. If you have multiple square kilometers of map and are told that your target is on the second floor of a building, that doesn not make their location any clearer... You have to wait 6 minutes for a magnifying glass (shows you the location of a target), which is just…

Game is cute but feels like the project was rushed and thrown together. Many layering issues (characters moving behind things or objects opening behind something instead of being on top), repetitive characters in the same view/map, empty or unfinished windows and doors. The main menu is blurry - they made their files incorrectly and the vectors are not scalable. Interactions seem to be a huge yawn - not many things do anything when clicked. Seems like they ran out of ideas. I was excited for…

Got this game off a mystery key. If you like hidden object games, don't buy this. The UI is horrible, the map panning is way too fast when zoomed in, you can't zoom in on the outer edges of the map, scroll speed through both the level select screen and the hidden items is way too slow, the item hints are next to useless, and the unreasonably large size of the levels is annoying. I liked the smaller levels, but the large ones were a pain in the ass.

I adore hidden object games but this one has some big issues. There are a few massive maps which cannot be reasonably searched and the hints are unhelpful. The art is nice and the vistas are very cool, but there is a lot of poor UI issues. Overall, this is one of the weaker entries into this genre. It tough to recommend, but has some good aspects.

Overall, the game is average. For fans of the hidden object genre it's an okay find. However, the audio suggests it's geared towards children, similar to 'Where's Waldo'. Despite its childlike atmosphere, I wouldn't recommend this game to kids due to: - Large maps that require exploration - Need to open windows or doors to access objects - Tedious list of items to find I also experienced a bug in the Storybook Part where the next-button was out-of-frame, only making the top of the T visible.

The art is cute, but there's just too much that drags this game down for me. I enjoy these kinds of games, but the developers need to learn that less is sometimes more. I ended up turning off the volume in the game, both sliders, which also didn't actually turn off all the sounds. If you leave the settings as is, you get the most annoying pop-ups per target found. Half the maps are just the same place, but bigger and bigger each time, with the clouds and fog moved around. The background…

It kind of sucks not to recommend it, as there was obviously a lot of effort put into the art of the maps, which looks great. However, about half of the levels are just terrible, and it’s also a bit buggy (sounds sometimes play when they’re supposed to be muted and clicking on a hidden object occasionally doesn’t register). The smaller levels are good, however, the larger ones (the ones set in Venice) suffer from a deadly combination: the maps are way too big and the clues are absolutely…

While in general I like hidden object games, especially with animation and a good vibe, this one here was sadly a disappointment more than a pleasure. In the beginning, it starts with small spaces that are easily cleared. Then it turns into bigger maps, and here the frustration starts when you have to use the hints for finding the objects. I say this with all the kindness I can. Do not buy this game unless you like getting mad at how badly they screwed up on writing hints. As in, the hints they offer hardly ever help you find the thing/person. The hints often have nothing to do with where the thing/person is. I like this game and I would readily change my review if for a few things: Firstly, why does the zoom cut off part of the screen? The controls are incredibly annoying. The screen moves too easily, and will fly off in any direction when you're trying to click. The images that can be interacted with are unclear, such as not knowing which bushes, shelves, or leaves are actually hiding objects and which are just part of the scenery. The screen resolution is way off, too, with essential buttons being trapped off screen in ways that force you to hard quit and mess with the resolution or get stuck at the end of the level. It's…

It's not awful, and indeed there's a lot of entertainment value to be had on 2/3 of the maps.....but there's a solid third of them that are just TOO big with way too many things to find with some of the absolute worst clues in the history of clues (oh, that person is probably at a coffee shop? The large maps are way too large. You can't scroll with the keyboard, and the panning speed is not adjusted when you zoom in. Spend a microsecond on the edge of the screen and now you're two screens away. Graphical glitches on interactive parts. Crops off top and bottom on ultrawide. So much reused assets that you see the same person on a map multiple times. Most of the clues don't help, including things like "near church" when there are 6 buildings that look like churches.

The hand-drawn graphics are nice, but this is not a good hidden object game. Most maps are too large to locate single items, especially some are hidden in trees or behind shuttered windows. The descriptions can be vague at times, adding to the difficulty of finding items. That said, the view of Venice is impressive. I like how the devs portrayed San Marco Plaza, the clock tower and St. Mark's Basilica, even taking the time to depict the iconic lions. However, I don’t like making Rialto Bridge…

STT is a hidden object game in essence but it feels a bit different compared to other games in the genre. The developers tried to give that feeling of going on a vacation, there is a loose story about Sophia travelling to fun tourist attractions with her animal pets, the NPC speak different languages when being clicked on and you’re trying to find objects/NPC on locations that are bursting with life. There are a couple of things I wish were a bit better such as when I turn on lights, I would like the lights to stay on and when I open a window and/or door, I would like them to stay open so I am not doing this task over and over again. Super cute game! If you're only looking at the screen to find things you're probably going to have a hard time because maps can be very big. HOWEVER if you zoom in and look at the scenes and enjoy how it's set up, you'll be able to find things without too much difficulty. This shouldn't be a game you rush through or you'll definitely be frustrated. The sounds are cute and it has such a cute artistic style!

Set against a lovingly illustrated version of Venice, the game invites players to step into the shoes of Sophia, a cheerful traveler accompanied by her dog and parrot, and experience the city not through objectives or time pressure, but through observation and curiosity. Rather than pushing…

5/10 - Ok recommendation Decent "Where's Wally/Waldo" type game but on steroids - So many things to find which can be annoying after a while! Appreciate the hint button that shows you a missing person/object every 6 minutes.

A fun time. The best thing about it are the sprawling maps which really are beautiful and packed with details (even if some of those details do repeat). Aside from being a little buggy, there were two main problems: -The hints you get for each thing you have to find are sometimes helpful in locating them, and sometimes comically useless. I almost don't see this as a problem because of how unintentionally hilarious it is to be scanning a huge map for one guy and the only thing you know about…

Whenever you touch the screen to try to select an item the scene jumps to a different part of the screen making this almost unplayable.

This is a great little low stress game when you're tired, or stressed or just want something simple and easy to play. The objects (people, animals of things) can be a challenge to find necessitating a grid search for some items but it's still a relaxing experience. Loved it.

20 minutes in + you can switch of the obnoxious yay , you get bingo , but i can live with that . + its stupidly tough +imaginative silly fun drawings that do the job . -the clouds are too big and slow and not transparent enough.

It was fine I guess. Using pointers that load by time is the only reason I'm recommending this, since this is actually pretty hard. Hints on characters are not that much of a help usually "Miles is having fun" for example. And some maps are ridiculously large, feels like I'm looking for a needle from a haystack. And why there is fog on the way?

Good way to spend the time. I enjoyed looking for the different people, objects, and animals. Consumable hints refresh every 6 minutes, and you can click the one you're looking for on the sidebar for a general idea on where to look for them. My only complaint is that found objects on the list shouldn't mix with ones I'm still looking for. For convenience, I am thinking these should either move to the bottom of the list with their check marks, or disappear entirely once found.

What a charming game. It's the same sort of find-the-hidden-objects gameplay as Hidden Through Time, with the same lovely hand-drawn art, but the maps are ENORMOUS and it's considerably more difficult. Fortunately there are both text tips and actual hints; the latter take several minutes to recharge but are otherwise unlimited. The objects are located in logical places and sized proportionally to the environment, and in general are never unfair. The scenes are full of fun animations, easter…

This is a difficult hidden object game. Sophia the Traveller reminded me of the Hidden Through Time game franchise and Where's Waldo Books, with caveats. What was done well: +Cute Maps progress the story of a young lady on her travels +magnifier to find objects when you've given up on finding them +When you click an object in the Unfound Tray it will give you a pop up balloon that tells you a little clue about the people +Blue Ribbon <3 What could be Improved: -The maps are too big and…

"two mice managed to steal a box of pizza." 💖🖤🖤 🟩 cute art 🔷 lots of fun details 🔴 larger maps are painfully large vibes: doodly loops: where's wally states: finished, all achievements ramblings: i found the art style in this game incredibly charming, i adore the aesthetic it has. but the game goes from enjoyable to bafflingly annoying. this becomes less a "look for thing" and more "click randomly everywhere" since you'll have a list of dozens of things to seek, and…

Sophie the Traveler is a cute hand drawn Where's Waldo type of game where you browse through ten different 'chapters' looking for specific targets to hunt throughout a continually expanding city. The game starts off simple with its hide-and-seek but quickly becomes more complicated as the map, Venice, expands in size with more objects to spot, and this is where the game becomes 'not recommended' and much less relaxing/casual because of how it is handled. There is a tool that you can utilize…
