RIP

neutral · AI labelView post →Sandbaggers isn't a movie, but also Spy Game is in the running "Was there a finding, Muir?" "......I'm sorry, I don't believe we've met"
neutral · AI labelView post →So SPY GAME is a very fun 2001 movie with Robert Redford and Brad Pitt, but they've also got Redford's secretary calling him from the payphone in the first floor coffee shop, which TOTALLY WOULDN'T BE MONITORED AT LANGLEY, NOPE.
neutral · AI labelView post →Thanks to my Bluesky timeline I’m watching “Sneakers” again. But my Redford movie is “Spy Game,” which is the quintessential spy movie. Everyone loves the slow burn, cloak and daggers but Spy Game is that on turbo. A brilliant take on how to game the system. But then River Runs Through It.
positive · AI labelView post →Last one! “Spy Game” (2001) is a brilliant spy movie with Robert Redford and Brad Pitt that excels not just in the story and acting but particularly in the filming and editing. Fast, intelligent, thrilling 🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

neutral · AI labelView post →Was thinking about watching SPY GAME today and then I saw the news that Robert Redford passed away, which is a bummer though he did have a long life that seemed to be a good one (by a number of ways you measure such things). (Always felt this movie was underrated though ugh, Brad Pitt.)
positive · AI labelView post →I liked when Redford would do a big dumb paycheque movie occasionally like SPY GAME for Tony Scott youtu.be/M1f0c3utHGI
neutral · AI labelView post →Several scenes in the movie Spy Game flash back to the 1980s. Brad Pitt’s character is wearing a San Diego Padres hat that didn’t exist until the 90s.
neutral · AI labelView post →While we're talking abiut Robert Redford, I would like to say that I think SPY GAME was a good movie.
positive · AI labelView post →My favorite Robert Redford movie is Spy Game (2001). With All The Presidents Men a close second. RiP you legend. youtu.be/EH30237stWM

positive · AI labelView post →Spy Game (Nathan Muir, bitch) Clear & Present Danger (the first movie about why doing a Sicario is bad) Hunt for Red October (every analyst wants to gun down a GRU plant on a hostile sub and look like young Alec Baldwin) Ronin (90s era SAD guys had to find some way to keep busy)
neutral · AI labelView post →I liked many of Robert Redford's movies my favorite to rewatch is Spy Game (2001). It's a good movie but also unintentionally funny, with him employing wacky CIA tradecraft in a corporate office environment. Kind of a Office Space: CIA.
positive · AI labelView post →My first ever day on a film set I had a one on one scene with Robert Redford. The movie was Spy Game: he was charming and kind and gallant. And beautiful. America… poor crisis ridden America- you’ve lost a true old fashioned icon. Here’s a sketch of him from the film.
neutral · AI labelView post →I'm on a lucky streak with the film choices when I go to my parents' for dinner: Spy Game 2001, second film in a row that neither of them has fallen asleep to 😅 This is VERY RARE.
positive · AI labelView post →Now, as I am full of gin, beer, and hot gog, I shall watch Spy Game. Both the most and least realistic film about intelligence operations ever made.

neutral · AI labelView post →I know it was Spy Game, but I could not possibly tell you the plot of that movie. It's about spies? And games? I was like nine lmao.
neutral · AI labelView post →Watched Spy Game (2001), an enjoyable Robert Redford film from just before the streaming TV boom that has all the storytelling tricks of streaming TV, but was a movie instead. And as a result, it’s almost impossible to follow. Because film stories have a different shape. Which is quite funny.

positive · AI labelView post →Okay, I revisited SPY GAME (2001) finally after all my talk of it today (and all my thinking of watching it for the past week). Still like it! Though it's still funny that a Tony Scott movie's most important action scenes feature phone calls & fax machines. letterboxd.com/lakrahn/film...

neutral · AI labelView post →hypothetically if you were watching Tony Scott's movies and The Coen Brothers' simultaneously, which movie would you pair as a double feature with BURN AFTER READING, ENEMY OF THE STATE or SPY GAME? Leaning toward ENEMY OF THE STATE, but the Brad Pitt connection w/SPY GAME is something to consider

positive · AI labelView post →My trailer for #BeyondFriday is Tony Scott's wonderful Spy Game. The trailer is generic as fuck and doesn't give the sense of the epic and the myth making. I love it. youtu.be/S7m6SWDODMA?...
positive · AI labelView post →RIP to Robert Redford. One of the most effortlessly charismatic and compelling actors ever. Did so much for film and filmmaking as well. Some favorite roles of his: All The President's Men, Three Days of the Condor. Sneakers and Spy Game. His incredible silent, solo performance in All Is Lost.

neutral · AI labelView post →The correct answer is Spy Game. For both Redford and Pitt. And there aren't any good gifs because that is how underrated this movie is.
positive · AI labelView post →The movie Spy Game featuring Robert Redford (RIP Sir) and Brad Pitt. Brilliantly written, dynamic pacing, little bit of humor, and alot of machismo with very little toxic masculinity. Such a great film.

positive · AI labelView post →The CIC is saddened to hear of the passing of Robert Redford. Growing up watching all of his amazing roles, he was the epitome of a movie star. Spy movie fans of course remember him for both Three Days of the Condor and Spy Game. Gone but never forgotten. #RIPRobertRedford
