[1][2][3][4] Some reviewers complain about repetitive gameplay, unskippable dialogue, and frustrating QTE mechanics. [1][5][6][7] A few players note the game lacks updates and feels overpriced at full price. [8][9][10][11]

On sale for 6 bucks? Sure. Get it if you are a big dragon ball fan and are not a completionist. I don't recommend it in general though. The QTE clash mechanic is cool right up until they require you to beat out cpus who randomly perfect the QTE with your own bar moving stupid fast. If you mess up even once, regardless of whether you win the battle or not, you have entire paths blocked off to you. Getting …

Definitely a game to get when 90% off. If you like card collecting, that's the main thing this game has for you. The actual game is a little awkward. Its a port of a giant super specialized arcade cabinet into a PC game, so some mechanisms really dont translate and are awkward, but what ev. The real issue is that in 4 hours of gameplay, I have spent 3 hours and 40 minutes tapping OK to agonizingly slog through …

This game is fun, for the right person. For me, it's loads of fun. I like gachas, I like goofy weird games, I like what-if scenarios, I like goofy versions of characters that don't exist. If you get it for 5.99, it's beyond worth it. If you pay full price for it, for most people, it probably won't be near worth it. This is at most a 15.99 game. That being said, it's also the type of game that could disappear off …

This game emulates the arcade pretty much perfectly. Over 300 Characters on over 1000 Cards, ridiculous concepts such as SSJ4 Broly, Cell X, Kid Buu (Demon Lord Dabura absorbed), Vegeks (Vegeta + Trunks) and sooooo many more. The game is simply a blast to play, no matter how long you play it; for short sessions or long-plays. The game looks, sounds and plays like it would in an actual arcade, for those of you who …

Man this game is so fun, it has a gacha system and it's great, no microtranactions but the fun of getting random characters to build a deck just without needing to spend money to do so. Really my only complaint is that the new DBH content isn't there that being said there's already a lot here. Edit: Buy it on sale it gets real cheap on sale.

73% of the 165 Steam reviewers we collected recommend SUPER DRAGON BALL HEROES WORLD MISSION. The complaint that keeps coming up: repetitive combat and unskippable dialogue. Deal-breaker or nitpick?

60 of 178 · most liked firstSUPER DRAGON BALL HEROES WORLD MISSION offers a distinctly different interpretation of the Dragon Ball universe by replacing traditional real-time fighting with an elaborate collectible card battle system. Developed by Dimps Corporation and SAFARI GAMES Co., Ltd. and published by BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment, it is designed primarily for players who enjoy collecting characters, constructing specialized teams, and learning interconnected combat mechanics. Instead of relying entirely on reflexes…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission is a game with an interesting concept, but it’s very hard to recommend at its full price. The gameplay revolves around card-based battles, which can be fun at first and has some depth if you’re willing to learn the systems. There’s a lot of cards and team combinations to experiment with, which gives it some replay value. However, the overall experience doesn’t feel like it justifies a $60 price tag at all. For what the game offers, it feels overpriced,…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is based on an arcade game where you physically place and slide cards on a large tablet. Novel for sure, but what I did not expect was that each action you take is a timing or movement based minigame of sorts. The ones that do not use buttons can be done with the mouse, left analog stick or a touch screen but none seem right to me as they are all surprisingly easy. These minigames and unskippable action scenes really drag each match down and I found them completely irritating and more…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The fact theres no microtransactions in what is effectively a Gatcha game is pretty refreshing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →idk whats up with the recent negative reviews. Literally just wait for a sale its 5 dollars. Its an arcade port for 5 dollars. If you like db you will enjoy seeing all the dif characters this game has, there are some odd ones. But also cool ones that are not traditionally in anything mainstream db.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a Dragon Ball fan very cool and fun game, just a shame there's no achivements
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →All those What-if characters together. Major Fan Service. Fun to build decks to play
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →get if you are true dragonball fans
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good but 3ds one was 2x better
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There are variants that will never become canon so it gets interesting. It doesn't receive updates anymore but if you could get it on sale, it's worth it. Especially if you like what-if scenarios in Dragon Ball.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think Gohan is a pretty cool guy, he wears a durag somtimes and doesn't afraid of anything.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For $6, you can't beat this game. DEFINITELY not worth non-sale price. $60 for any game should require the utmost quality. While I enjoy this, I find it quite simple and lacking for a game marketed at $60.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's addicting, and an overall fun game albeit a bit repetitive. I know people love to trash the story, but it's okay for what it is: just a gacha game. Don't overanalize it, just have some (dumb) fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very awesome Dragon Ball game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You have to have a certain level of masochism to put up with the constant repetition of drawn out combat animations and brain dead QTEs, but the actual deck building mechanics are quite fun. It doesn't have much in common mechanically with traditional, physical trading card games which lends itself to a very different mindset. There's no drawing cards from a deck during the match and instead all of your units are on the field at once, so 75% of a match is how you've built your deck from the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love Dragonball and the dragonball fanservice is the best part of this game, but the actual gameplay is a slog, you'll spend most of your time timing a bar minigame, sometimes 3 times per combat round, i was making teams with a single type of unit JUST to to avoid having to do that stupid minigame as much as possible and eventually loathed to keep going, this was after only 2 hours. the gambling aspect is okay, but once you get your team there's little point except to get some good cards…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There are far better Dragon Ball games to play. The game is long since abandoned, incredibly slow and isn't really all that enjoyable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →pretty fun game based off the game machines they use to have in eastern arcades also there is an promotional anime for the card based series, few arcs few hours long pretty good
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There was a Dragon Ball Z game like this, it rocked! Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission if I remember right. Fewer waifus than normal gacha games but it had the Ginyu Force so that kind of balances out.
positive · AI labelView post →This is kinda decent if you get it on sale. I don't like the timing mini game for basic attacks. I also wish it got a few more updates, the model upgrades from the last few SDBH arcade machine updates are so good. Not a fan of the missions where you're forced to use decks you didn't create. So many cards in this game, let me experiment myself You should be able to replace Beat with one of the other avatar characters and the story should change to reflect that choice. It's cool part of the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought the game on sale for $5 to hopefully pass the time until Sparking Zero comes out, played it twice, took a break to do other stuff, came back to it and now it doesn't function at all beyond the anticheat load screen. good thing I waited for it to go on sale since it is in no way worth the $60 regular price tag. Even beyond it just stopping to function for no apparent reason, the gameplay loop is incredibly boring and even infuriating at times due to the game itself cheating and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a strategy game in the same way that my balls are: it's not. In real card games, decks are shuffled. The "cards" in this "game" are shuffled as often as my balls: they're not. You might be wondering why I put "game" in quotation marks - that's b/c the "game" experience is watching a quick time event, clicking at the right time, and reading. It's a visual novel, a really bad one, with QTE's. Not a game. You might be wondering why my balls are the first thing that comes to mind to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the game, though its not like any DB game you have played. It is a port of an card/arcade game that has been in Japan for over a decade before its release. Its more strategy than skill. The only real skill you require is timing (for that little red button). 9/10 for what it is. Multiplayer is basically dead no matter where you go (here and on switch) but its still a fun/great game to play solo or with friends! You also gotta go watch the promotional anime!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bro why is there so much dialog and presentation? its a f#cking card game! who was the autist behind the production of this game? By the time I was finished with the presentation I just completely lost interest in playing it. Thank god somebody gifted this crap to me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had it. Played it. Got new pc. Game is now unplayable as the game stutters constantly making it literally unplayable. Plus I also had to change sounds settings just to get the damn sound to work. Its crap. Don't bother with this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ port.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There are a lot of cards and ways to build a good strategy. Many cards can counter other cards which is fair and fun. Story mode is good so far. You can spend a good amount of time into this game. It's also really cool that the cards you get in this game should be transferred to Dragon Ball Super Divers then.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is really strange. The story sucks, but I really enjoyed the deckbuilding, and the feeling of a gatcha game, without needing real money. I also loved the different cards. I hope they release a new game in the franchise soon, though hopefully, it will be an adaptation of the manga next time, not an original story
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its is good game to play and you can use your thinking and its fun to play
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The mobile-app time based gimmicks are not for me... what a disappointment...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly a great arcade game that was ported to PC, Unfortunately due to either a lack of support or promotion, the game did not do very well in its western release and is only updated in the JP side. Such a shame but I think with updates and frequent promotions this game could have done superbly well especially for fans who want to play it at home and not travel all the way to Japan to do so on their arcade machines.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's really easy and relaxing
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too much reading and micromanagement of cards despite that they, simply, either add or subtract power depending on circumstances. Battles are played out by slapping a button at a rapidly rising / descending scale (similar to many Golf titles) to try and stop the marker as far up the scale as you can and higher than your opponents'. Success results in successful attacks / blocks. There are some contextual swirly do's and tip-taps you will be alerted to perform with your game pad, during some…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nearly every major anti cheat implementation is ring-0 access. If you have any game with EasyAntiCheat or BattlEye installed, you've also got one. This is of course not to say they aren't a worrying thing, but they aren't abnormal and HD2 certainly isn't the only one to use it. Games with EAC: • 7 Days to Die • Absolver • Albion Online • Apex Legends • Audition • Audition Next Level • Battlefield 2042 • Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 • Beyond the Wire • Black Clover: Quartet Knights…
neutral · AI labelView post →I saw this quote below : ''Honestly a great game, but damn does it get boring after a while'' and honestly this nails it. For a DB fan, it has so many fun references and transformations but most of the game is just watching the same animations over and over
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decent enough for a nearly 4 years old western pc port of an japanese arcade card game. The game doesn't look nearly as good as today's arcade game since this game was already complete on release and doesn't get regular updates/tcg set releases like the original Japanese arcade game. Still a really nice and fun experience. And hey, they didn't make it P2W :D (Online PvP is dead (obviously).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty good... uh around 15 hours in and I still dont know wth im doing lol, I mean, kinda, but not really. few negatives, sinces it can be quite repeditive, I wish there was an option to turn off the Japanese announcers as it slows down the flow of battle, for example, if you hit a perfect, the announcers are like NANE? blah blah blah idk I dont speak japanese, and the game waits for them to stop talking before moving on to the next move, and ugh its just annoying. You can skip some stuff…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Im really liking the game as a huge DBZ fan. i just wish the game had achievements. im only a few hours but would recommend this if youre a fan of card games and the old budokai games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is... interesting. for sure. if you're a dragonball diehard you might get something out of checking it out. for everyone else, it's a game with an overwhelming number of confusing and seemingly-pointless mechanics where sometimes you have to wiggle virtual cards around to power up moves. every fight feels similar, the story is boring, and while there's a few fun bright moments here and there with the what-if scenarios you run into... it's just a slog. I do enjoy making my own…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission It's basically Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle if Dokkan was actually worse then it already is. It acts like a Gacha, it walks like a Gacha, and it's the only reason Heroes characters actually appear annually in Dokkan Battle
negative · AI labelView post →game cycles easy anti cheat and never launches.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, the Japanese locale files are still in the game, and they've left Japanese as an option during the terms' agreement at the start of the game. It's totally nonsensical to have deliberately removed the Japanese text option from the in-game menu! Is this some particular kind of mockery I am not aware of? What reason/gain is there, to make the original Japanese text unavailable?! Having played the previous titles in their Japanese versions, the current game is complete gibberish to me...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I know people were negative about Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission, but I really love it. It’s a home port of the arcade Dragon Ball TCG but you don’t need the actual cards to play and no micro transactions either. Switch version even has all the touch screen card swiping of the arcade machine
positive · AI labelView post →The game's multiplayer is dead. No point in playing. Rank matches are locked behind increasing ranks in casual matches, which... you can't even find opponents for. This game is not beginner friendly
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Incredibly cool game for Dragon Ball fans. Sure, it's simple and repetitive but seeing all the combinations and dream scenarios makes up for it! Perfect game to play on a side while watching something.
