Negative review simply because the ending IS SO INEXCUSEABLY BAD! I think ALL with the intention of finishing the game need to know that you have to spam the ESC key FOR 2.5 HOURS (it used to be **EIGHT** btw) with zero feedback that anything is actually happening/progressing, during which time you can't play the game at all. It's supposed to be a commentary on addiction, but all it does is making you question what …

What a disappointment. Mind Control Delete turns Superhot into a roguelike, which actually sounds like a great idea, but was executed so poorly. It only included the idea of upgrades and restarting on death... so it's a roguelike in name only. The rest of the time you'll be replaying the same 10-20 levels over and over. Let's start with the good: Superhot still has good mechanics. And that's all the good. Those …

Phenomenal core mechanic that was utilized much better in the first game through better level design. As much as I love roguelikes, sometimes they sound better on paper than they do in practice, and Superhot: MCD is one of those cases. While the first game had every enemy placement and situation carefully handcrafted, the sequel has embraced more of a "random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ go!" philosophy. Almost everything is randomly …

A stylish, brain-bending expansion of the Superhot formula, delivering even more “time moves when you do” satisfaction. With deeper progression, new abilities, and smarter challenges, it turns every encounter into a slick, tactical puzzle. Hypnotic, punchy, and incredibly rewarding to master.

People are right to criticise it for being repetitive and dragging the concept out way too much. But if you liked the gameplay loop of the original SUPERHOT, you can probably have fun with this, definitely not £18 worth though.

67% of the 209 Steam reviewers we collected recommend SUPERHOT: MIND CONTROL DELETE. The complaint that keeps coming up: levels feel repetitive and randomly generated. Deal-breaker or nitpick?

Critics, per Wikipedia

The game has received "generally favorable reviews" on the review aggregation website Metacritic. Fellow review aggregator OpenCritic assessed that the game received strong approval, being recommended by 83% of critics. Destructoid's Anthony Marzano called it "possibly one of the most fun games I've ever played", and "an improvement on everything that made the original Superhot great." GameSpot's Justin Clark was more mixed in his review, writing "The fundamental flaw of Mind Control Delete is that it's adding complication to a game premise that works largely because of its simplicity."

Enjoy the game enough to beat it? Your reward is getting stuck in a multi-hour unskippable cutscene, that persists even if you UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL THE GAME. It is anti-fun, anti-player, and led to me going back and looking at the writing of this and the original game and realising how pretentious all of its framing is.

Let's get complicated with field equations, gravity, and the space time continuum. Explain to me the physics of the game SuperHot. (Time only moves, when you move). Would it be a black hole that you're somehow wrapped in that's causing the space time disturbance? Would it be localized? Or is this something that'd be affecting the entire world? What would this realistically do to a human?

Absolutely overstays its welcome. Could not force myself to finish it. The reason the first game was good was because of the creative and thoughtful level design. Sure, the gameplay loop by itself is also satisfying but this game proves that's not enough. The same levels keep repeating over and over again. The original Superhot encouraged players to experiment with various weapons and mechanics. Due to the life system this game introduces experimenting feels punishing. Dying too much will mean…

This game was really bad compared to the first one. The maps are repeated over and over again, the achievements are extremely easy to get (there's literally no challenge involved), and the ending is so lame for someone who doesn't like spamming E, 50 times then watching a loading bar for 2:30 hours which was originally 8 damn hours? All that being said, I did enjoy but I would NEVER recommend it to someone getting into the series, SUPERHOT was way more fun and more innovating.

I just beat the game. Well, most of it. I didn't like it, both mechanically, and thematically. I played Superhot and Superhot VR. Beat them, and liked them. Every scenario felt like a puzzle to resolve, disguised as a FPS style game. There'd be slight variation, but iteration meant you could learn the best way to finish a given map. This game tosses so much of what it built out, replacing with with repetitive maps, some of which were directly from previous games, and layering it with a smug,…

The game takes the innovative core of the original and tries to expand it into a much larger experience. Unfortunately, in doing so, it loses much of the charm that made the first game so enjoyable. The time-manipulation mechanics are still excellent, but a larger, more repetitive structure makes the levels considerably less enjoyable. I personally found it difficult to stay engaged, and the experience become more tedious than addictive. A disappointing follow-up to an iconic little game. 100%…

I honestly don't get how the game loves to get all meta about SUPERHOT players wanting MORE content when most of the new content this game adds just causes frustration in most scenarios. I'm sure the developers had a good time creating this game but I don't blame people for thinking that this was a project born out of spite because there are so many things that feel like it was made in a way to hinder the player's enjoyment, which is probably the point since the game loves bashing you over the…

SUPERHOT 1 but worse, making it a rogue-like game was the worst decision they could've done because what do you mean there's 32 levels (According to other players) that aren't in a linear but random order and you can theoretically be stuck replaying the same 10 levels for a few hours or even NOT experience all of them because of RNG? I actually think that I did not experience all of them despite finishing the game. While it's true that the 1st game had less levels compared to this one but you…

This game is like if SuperHot was annoying and pretentious and overstayed its welcome. SuperHot has a neat gimmick, but it wears itself thin in the FIRST game if you play challenge mode, it really didn't need a sequel whose entire purpose (stated by the game) is to waste your time as much as possible. Just play the original, avoid this game if you value your time, it does not provide even close to sufficient value for the compartatively extreme amount of time it takes to beat it. 3/10

the game is a drag, everything from the 3rd floor onwards just take too long. By trying to add more mechanics they just made the game too blergh. By the time of writing this I haven't finished the game yet but I know what is to come, 2 hours of a bloated ending The little "dash" that the enemies to dodge your bullets/throwables is not a fun mechanic, it's just an annoyance. What makes the first game good is still here, but it's under a lot of unecessary crap. Final score: Buy the first…

To be honest i really enjoyed the game but the ending left such a bad taste in my mouth, honestly i would even mind missing an achievement to skip that BS but the fact that your game gets locked in the stupid sequence until you finish it just feels ridiculous, what the team made is not art, but a wanky inconvenience tacked onto the end of an otherwise redeemable game
