Tacoma reminded me why I love walking simulators. The whole game takes place on a space station that has already been abandoned. When you arrive, the crew is gone and your job is to find out what happened. To do that, you watch recordings of the past events, crew's daily lives, conversations. This is a wonderful game and I hugely enjoyed playing it. It's rich with atmosphere, and an exciting story and mystery slowly unravels as you learn about the characters involved, their histories, and their motivations as you explore. It's a relaxed experience, allowing you to focus on exploration and narrative. If this sounds like your cup of tea, as it was most definitely mine, then I highly recommend it.

While I hoped there might be a little more mystery / tension for a game about a failing space station, the characters and voice acting kept me locked in, and the level design was beautifully done. The ending was also very satisfying, wrapping up the narrative nicely, especially if you read into the small pieces of lore spread throughout the different biomes. fun game, with a very prescient story. however it is VERY short. i finished it in a about 2 hours, which i wouldn't mind, but it doesn't really do anything super interesting with that time. and i say that as a fan of walking simulators. get it on sale like i did, but it is not worth full price.

The production value is decently high, with good enough voice acting and visuals, but the storyline makes or breaks a game like this one, and neither the twists not the story were enough for me to give Tacoma a glowing review.
