What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 94 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (3,788 of 4,355 positive).
Players praise the unique Escher-like art style and gravity-rotation puzzles. [1][2][3] Some find the puzzles overly complex and reliant on trial and error. [4][5][6] Several reviewers note frustrating controls and physics issues. [7][8][9]

I like puzzle games, but this is not my cup of tea at all. This game is essentially penrose stairs paradox. You just have to keep track of so many things, because visually the game lies to you (due to the paradox). The more levels you pass, the more complicated it gets and you have to keep track of more things. At a certain point your mind just explodes. Personally, it felt like i completed most of the levels by …

I played this game and oh man, what a gem it is. A great puzzler that is sure to make you scratch your head from time to time - a solid recommendation if you enjoy the genre!

Escher-like levels are the highlight, but I found the puzzles to be too dependent on trial and error rather than insight. I had fun for the 1st hour, so on sale maybe this is still worth it. The concept is fascinating: you explore Escher-style drawings in all their non-Euclidean glory in order to get keys, avoid danger, and reach the exit door. To match it, the art style is top-notch and the puzzles have a lot of care put into their design. On the other hand, some of the late game puzzles were downright infuriating. In earlier levels, something not working usually meant to try a different idea. For some …

Escher like puzzle game, about 2.5 hours. Fun enough on the steam deck, doesn't outstay its welcome.

neutral · AI labelView post →The Bridge To summarize the game before I properly start with my review: This is a puzzle game in which you rotate the levels you're in to reach a door, sometimes you'll need to collect keys to open them. Sounds simple enough, though puzzles can get pretty hard when other objects get introduced that you'll for example need to avoid. I'm a big fan of surrealism and puzzle games so I've bought it for 2€. Negatives include: The mashup of puzzle game plus physics is not well solved here in…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Despite having no cutscenes, this game has a huge amount of 'unskippable cutscene' energy. Every little action takes way longer than it needs to. Clicking a menu option? Gotta wait for the screen to fade out and back in slowly with no way to skip it. Even moving the highlighted menu option up and down takes time for some reason. This is made worse when you open the game up and it asks you to rate it with a menu you have to wait for, followed by another slow menu asking you to play another game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I recommend this for people who enjoy physics based puzzles, but for everyone else this is a pass. I really wanted to like this game. I like the art style and the concept. It is well made. However, many of the puzzles are physics based. Some of the puzzles are difficult to solve, which is a good thing, but many of the puzzles are brutally difficult to complete just because of the physics. I don't like puzzle games where I know the solution, but I don't know how to manipulate the controls to…

neutral · AI labelView post →Very neat puzzle game with a solid concept and something I'd normally love but unfortunately the precise timing required for some of the puzzles combined with the finnicky controls and sliding just end up being frustrating. There are so many times you wish the character wouldn't slide so much on even the slightest of slopes. In the end I didn't enjoy solving the puzzles - it just felt like a chore.

neutral · AI labelView post →The Bridge is good at times, but ironically is weakened by its themes. The basis of the game is controlling gravity via rotation of the levels and this works very well. What doesn't work well is the stylization of the levels themselves. To better fit the mathematical theme many of the levels feature non Euclidean geometry. The levels that feature unique set pieces work well, but those that feature symmetrical features end up being an exercise of either going "forward" until things fall into…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a bit of a middle-of-the-road review. I really want to like this game - I enjoy puzzle games and adore the M.C. Escher stylization of the whole piece, but while playing this I just don't find myself having fun. I think the biggest drawback is the simplicity - walking barely matters to a lot of the puzzles, and there's no way to jump or climb, meaning that the puzzles mostly just turn into the little marble-rolling mazes I used to sometimes get as a kid. This makes all the puzzles a bit…

neutral · AI labelView post →The Bridge is a rare kind of puzzle game—one that doesn’t just challenge the player intellectually but invites them into a quietly surreal space where logic, perspective, and memory feel unstable. Developed by Ty Taylor and Vega Castañeda and published by The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild, it is presented as a contemplative journey rather than a traditional puzzle-platformer. The game opens with a soft pencil-drawn world and a solitary, scholarly protagonist, immediately creating an atmosphere…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →puzzles are more annoying than fun to solve. Art style is super cool. I wanted to like it, but as I kept going the puzzles became just more annoying rather than tricky. Also didn't feel very rewarding after finishing the puzzles. Got to chapter 4 then decided it wasn't for me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you love fiddly physics based puzzles, this is a recommendation. If not, it isn't. Was pulled in by the art style, pushed away by the gameplay - the problem is that the gravity switch is not an immediate switch at all but a slow weight/counterweight situation, which turns puzzles into fiddly to-fro affairs where it's never clear whether your solution didn't work or your balance was off. This results in lots of trial and error and I had no fun at all. A shame, because I liked the general idea.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a great puzzle game. You twist the whole world to find an exit. I honestly believe these kind of games can prevent dementia. I don't often play puzzle games so it was a bit difficult at times. I finished the basic levels and then found out that there are mirrored levels who are even more of a brain twister. The art style is also one cool thing I liked.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely stunning and very unique piece of art, that also has fun and interesting puzzle problems. The puzzles are not super hard, and they are pretty quick to solve, but there is still a nice progression, so it doesn't just feel like a pure art piece. I might be biased though, Escher has been my favorite artist ever since I was a toddler, so this game is like the best thing I could possibly wish for. Also, this game and Braid are very very similar. And both are great games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I eventually give up to walk through the game, I finally admit 4.6 Archway nonsense. A hard puzzle is a thing, a stupid-designed puzzle requires almost hacking and ultra-lucky action timing is another thing. Not recommended, it's a pity for the great art style and gravity inspiration.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Spent 30 minutes completing a few chapters. Neat, but only worth about 30-60 min of my attention. Still that being said, there was a lot of production value that went into the game and feels well polished overall, it just didn't strike me as very fun, thought provoking, or entertaining. Would buy from the developer again, but this game isn't for me.
