Not a terrible game but is super overrated IMO. The gameplay is really bland and repetitive, for the whole game you are running away from the same 1-2 enemies with the same hiding mechanics (a QTE test) The story is simple and predictable most of time you are asked to bring A stuff to B, which is frustrating and boring doing the same thing over and over again The good thing about this game is the art style, but if …

One thing I love about the Coma franchise is that it does atmosphere really well. While I do have my frustrations with the first game, Coma 2 managed to present a well paced game that actually rewarded exploration. As many other reviews have pointed it out this game improved a lot on many aspects of the previous games while adding more to the atmosphere with well voiced cut scenes and well made animations. The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters is much more entertaining than the original The Coma, though that game is a good one too. The quality of the story, lore, characters, music, and atmosphere is exactly the same, but the drawing, animation, and direction are significantly improved, which affects player perception a lot. The art style of this game is absolutely beautiful. The story is average, and the gameplay is similar to the first game—still repetitive and just as boring as before. Many things are practically the same as the original. I recommend buying it on sale. Overall, it’s an okay game, but honestly, I bought it purely for the art style.

Critics, per Wikipedia

On Metacritic, The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters received mixed reviews for Xbox One and Switch, and the Windows version received positive reviews. Shacknews liked that playing The Coma: Cutting Class was not necessary to understand the plot. Although they found Ms. Song's attacks more frustrating than scary, they praised the art and said it was a slick and exciting game that made them interested in playing Cutting Class. Nintendo Life praised the art and story, but they felt it was a bit short and had a poor replay value. They also said the sound and dialogue sounded cheaply recorded. Compared to its prequel, The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters offers stronger and smoother gameplay. Maps that were (at least for me) too complicated in the prequel are now simpler and more enjoyable. Many stories and secrets about the coma that used to be very confusing are now revealed. The number of items that used to be oversupplied is now balanced, making it more fun and challenging to manage them; but actually, if you play the game carefully, you don't need any of them at all. The bad parts still…

I love this sequel. Here are some of the positive attributes of the game that I've experienced during the playtime: A. The movement feels top notch. It doesn't feel janky when you move around unlike the first game where sometimes get stuck while executing an action. B. The artstyle is brilliant, as it gives life to the dilapidated, eerie and unsettling world of Coma where spirits, dead bodies, psycho murderers straight out of Dead by Daylight roam around. I got soo invested with the whole…

The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters is a fantastic game that absorbs you into a grim parallel universe and uses every tool in its arsenal to create an addicting sense of tension. While there are sporadic “action” sequences as you flee from Dark Song and avoid enemies, The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters is a game primarily about exploring a well-crafted setting and the narrative that unfolds therein, so your enjoyment will depend on your openness to that kind of experience.

Surprisingly engaging game with a great pacing and flow. Definitely it's a step-up from the first game, which already was good. Everything here is solid and well put together. Wonderful art, interesting story and characters, good level design, gameplay which is not complicated, but you still have to pay attention and memorize things, and even collectibles which are actually possible to find without a guide. It's all great. The only minor complaint might be excessive use of QTEs, but still, I…

The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters, developed by Dvora Studio and published by Headup, is a compelling sequel that builds upon the tense, atmospheric foundations of its predecessor while expanding the scope and depth of its survival horror narrative. The backgrounds for the maps are an endless amalgamated mess of the same copy pasta assets ad nauseam that you'll eventually find yourself in a hellish nightmare of getting lost and being forced to rely on the map which kills the tension and also doesn't help when you're being chased by the insta-kill monster that only gets stun-locked for two seconds before ending your playthrough because you used the item that saved you and oopsies you can only carry one of them at a time. Bad level design,…

Immersed in painful thoughts, she spends less and less time studying, and her academic performance drops. In all honesty, the game isn't that bad. Story and Characters were fine to me, but that isn't the issue I had with the game. But horror is very weak, and many of it's designs are very poor. I hate how many save points I keep running into, it's endless and if I "Die" or anything I pretty much lost like seconds worth of progress. Even though the Dev said he will spread resources thin and wide, the problem I encountered is, I only ever used 2 items and that is it, meaning my loadout of Mace,…

The story is uninspired, the characters bland and predictable, the gameplay repetitive and irritating. The map starts out alright but quickly devolves into a maze-like environment of finding the right doors to open, holes to crawl through, portals to take, etc. to get where you need to go. Gave it up some ways into the Hospital, where enemies are thrown in your path on an almost constant basis. This formula effectively strips away any and all tension or fear, making the game (especially the…

The Coma series by Devespresso Games is a masterclass in indie-2D hand-drawn survival horror. Closer in play style to Clock Tower with a core game thread of sneaking, hiding, running, and solving puzzles to unravel a nut-bag story. Is nut bag hyphenated?
Anyway, I played the entire series back-to-back because I have too much time and have a love for all things Korean culture and nut-baggary. The original is The Coma: Cutting Class (later re-released as The Coma: Recut), followed by a sequel,…

I really liked this game, the art style is plain amazing, It game feels like it is from a Korean culture with monsters and body horror. There is something really special with eastern horror that makes everything just feel off and wrong in an errie manner. Also the gameplay was fine, go, search, find items, and hide. This is way better than the first Coma game, and just a great survival horror game in general. The game feels like you're playing a horror anime novel, and the sound design is fantastic. There's a lot of variety and moving parts to the mechanics, and while the game is very easy, there is a learning curve that will take some time to master. My only issue with the game is that I wish there were a few more puzzles, and the "hide and seek" mechanic is a bit broken. Basically if you're out of…

Good upgrade to the previous game, introduces some much needed QOL changes, has multiple interesting locations and a stamina/hiding system which helps add to the tension. Great story and artwork as always. Some of the puzzles/hidden secrete might be a bit obscure, so dont't feel bad about looking them up if you don't know the sequence.

The Coma 2: Vicious sisters is so much better than the first game!

An exemplary sequel - more locations, more ways to run and hide, more quests, and bigger stage and stakes. The story still does not make waves, but it fulfills its main purpose to move you forward and throw at you spooky encounters.
