What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 176 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (338 of 372 positive).
Players praise the game as a fresh, fun twist on Jackbox's formula, comparing it to Family Feud. [1][2][3] Many appreciate the multiple game modes and constantly updating survey data for replayability. [4][5][6] Some reviewers note issues with inappropriate user-submitted answers and certain game modes. [7][8][9]

The concept is amazing, the problem is the users. The problem is "poop" is usually in the top 20 no matter the question. For example here's a typical question you might get. "Worst places for a first date", well "murder" was the #1 answer, followed by "movie theatre". We were always dumbfounded when we saw what the top 10 were. I wish it was in a better state, because the game could of been great

I am a teacher at an Alternative High School. I have been a long time Jackbox fan as this is one of the ONLY GAMES that I can use in a classroom setting as it lets kids join on their mobile devices with just a code (as many of the other Jackbox games do). My students constantly request we play this game since it is almost always a weird/fun time. (Note: If you're a teacher, turn on family friendly mode, trust me). I …

Objectively the best jackbox game out there. Incredibly easy to pick up with the guideline being something incredibly simple and a concept that is expanded upon in a bunch of different gamemodes that are fun alone or even with a bunch of others. The best comparison i can give to this is family feud if you were able to play, and it actually made sense. It's really fun to peace through random survey results and just …

This is the one Jackbox game that gives you the most fun for the least investment and is the first Jackbox game anyone should buy. The simple premise of guessing survey answers is made so much more fun by the huge scope (up to 500 answers per survey), the 5 varied game modes you have to compete with friends in that get you thinking about the survey in different ways (Bounce sucks, doesn't count), and the excellent …

Finally, Family Feud but with ~500 correct answers. Overall, great experience. If you're a fan of Family Feud this is a great game, and it also contains other cool game modes. It's a game about guessing the most popular and least popular answers among a huge survey pool, gaining points depending on how high or low you were. On top of that, the game's answers supposedly continue to update as more answers are put in. …

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After leaving a previous negative review about inappropriate answers and having the developers respond with the addition of family friendly settings, it was much easier to play this game with some tweens and they all enjoyed it a lot! Definitely great for a quick little game at school!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Jackbox Survey Scramble is amazing and a ton of fun! The constantly updating database of words is a great innovation on the Jackbox formula, and I hope to see more of this in future Jackbox games. I love the 4 modes that are currently in the game, and the upcoming 2 modes look awesome as well. I love the pack of 5 different games that we've been getting for the past decade, but also think that one big game with lots of different modes is another format for Jackbox to keep exploring in the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This one's a really elegant design and a lot of fun to play. I wouldn't mind if Jackbox started releasing more games that did a lot with a single core mechanic like this, instead of the often-uneven yearly[?] party packs

I have played a lot of the jackbox games and the best ones are the ones that bring people together, usually with snorts of laughter. Survey scramble misses the mark here - most of the game modes play as a pretty serious and intense effort to think on your own. Added to that, there's not really much funny unexpected shenanigans - if it's not in the list already, it usually disappears without note, which removes…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As someone who has had a fair share of hit or misses with Jackbox Games in the past where it felt like you needed to play with a tight group of friends to win certain games because of inside jokes and whatnot, this game doesn't make me feel like that I admire that! With other Jackbox Games there's usually one or two games I actually see myself playing and never touch the others hence why I don't own any of them personally but with the Survey Scramble, all of these games are a ton of fun!! The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can't believe I'm saying this, but me and my 8 other friends played just one round of the 'tour' mode and we unanimously disliked every game. I had uninstalled and asked for a refund within half an hour of starting it. HiLo is really awkward to play, especially on the 'low' end, Speed is highly disadvantaged to anyone who has anything more than an insanely fast typing speed, the 'pong' game was unintuitive to most and the only game that was 'okay' was the Square game. I like the concept,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love survey scramble. I don't really like bounce or dash but the others are great. Also, the song is really catchy (cheeseeeee!!). I think Jackbox should put more publicity into this game. I only found out about it from looking at all games released by Jackbox. But yet, it's one of my favourite Jackbox games.

neutral · AI labelView post →The Survey Scramble is by far my favorite game that Jackbox has released. As of this review, there are six different game modes, each offering a unique way to guess survey answers from people worldwide. There's a lot of replay value as the game constantly changes with new survey questions and updated user input. A few suggestions... - Add single-player for all modes except Squares and Bounce - Speed: Add the ability to scroll through the entire list of words - Speed: Add a running counter to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think this may be my favorite Jackbox game to date (and I have almost all of them except the new naughty one), especially after they added even more modes and surveys to it, but even before then.. It was perfect to me. I adore the concept of games built around survey results and I am happy Jackbox managed to get it working in so many ways. Word games have always been my thing, but with the added layer of trying to retrace things people might or might not think of as answers for survey…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hilo: Probably my favorite game mode in this game. Basically, it's one of the simplest concepts, where you simply try to outdo one another by guessing the highest and lowest answers to survey questions. However, there is a spin where you split points who give the same answer, so you're incentivized to guess good (or bad) answers, but maybe more unique ones if they are otherwise obvious. Speed: Another fun and simple game mode. This one has each player try to guess as many responses as they can…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My friends typically don't like the trivia games as much as the funny games since we can't just say "boy p*ssy" over and over again, but they agree this one is always a good time. Unlike them, I like games guesspionage, but I agree this one is the best. The narrator being so British combined with the presentation make me feel smarter and more sophisticated than when I play any other jackbox game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Between Guesspionage, Trivia Murder Party, and other Jackbox trivia games, Survey Scramble has been the only pure trivia game that I've seen that's appeals to everyone. I have the streaming, Discord, and in-person hours to back up that claim. Part of that is because it's not just one game, but a set of complementary games. Each game has the same core tenets. Your group gets to choose between 1 of 3 ranked list of a couple of hundred most popular answers to a question. The game is either two…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's an interesting spin on the Guesspionage game, but it tries to do too much and gets tiresome very quickly. Also answers lack moderation* - there are horrible answers that don't even make sense. Sure, it's worth a few bucks for a couple of hours of fun, but it could have been better. *Example - top bad habits: sports, driving, sleeping, eating, sex, etc.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →you would be shocked if i told you this jackbox game, singular, is worth the ten buck asking price, but it secretly is more like 5 different game modes in one, just that each game has a similar theme, but also that some of the games are better then others. an incredible synthesis of "easy to pick up and put down" and "group play vs FFA" the survey scramble is worth your money if you enjoy the jackbox packs.

neutral · AI labelView post →Full of woke bias censorship. For example.. in an 8 player game, it asked us for "red flags in dating profiles". Easy. Entered the obvious stuff like "pronouns", "ugly", etc. and it would say "not in the list" and blocked it, yet other words it would say "new word submitted". Once it showed "conservative", "trump", etc, in the results, we knew. Pretty funny / typical. Keep screwing yourselves!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love this game! It reminds me of the Family Feud concept, where you try to guess answers based on surveys. Could be the most popular, the least popular, or even a specific portion (1-4, 5-10, 11-35, etc.) depending on the game mode. It's different enough, so it doesn't feel like I'm doing the same thing for every single mode (even though I pretty much am but it doesn't feel like it). Strongly recommend!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Jackbox Survey Scramble, developed and published by Jackbox Games, Inc., is a fresh twist on the studio’s long-running tradition of easy-to-learn, socially engaging party games. Rather than relying on humor-based prompts or creativity-driven answers like in Quiplash or Fibbage, this title builds its entire experience around real survey data collected from actual players. The goal isn’t to come up with the funniest response but to think like the crowd—to predict how people across the country…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really awesome game. Best "Bang for your buck" you'll get out of Jackbox; it essentially has 6 games based around the premise of Family Feud. My only complaint is the lack of any solo modes.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good spinoff! Party Pack 10 and The Naughty Pack were pretty big letdowns (though I still liked parts of 10), but this was really fun! It's basically Family Feud, but all the answers are submitted by everyone who has ever played the game. Tons of different modes that are all fun and very easy to understand! Only thing I would suggest is adding Single-Player, there's no actual reason it needs to be Multi-Player only. Definitely would love to see more smaller scale projects like this in the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Arguably one of the best Jackbox's to be released in the last couple of years. There's a lot of variation, debate, and screaming at the community driven answers, along with the interesting topic to boot. Definitely a must have. Only downside is that if you reconnect, you get lumped into the audience; regardless if you have your name on before the disconnection and it's still active in the lobby.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →underrated AF. absolutely worth picking up.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is sort of fun, but ... it have a huge problem : the game ask you the most answered word of a question, but some answer are not necessary related to the question. For example if the game ask you the most terrifying animal, the answer will not be the most terryfing animal, but most common animal. So cat might be above tiger just because people will think more about cat than tiger.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great addition to the Jackbox lineup. It's fun seeing what stupid answers my friends (and the world) come up with. One thing I wish would happen is, after revealing the Top 10 answers (in HILO), it would also reveal the bottom 10 answers. Favorite modes are HILO and Squares. Dash and Dares are pretty fun too, while Bounce is kinda meh. Generally speaking if you enjoy Jackbox games, this one is a necessary addition to your collection.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As someone who dislikes jackbox games, this one is good for people who don't like the humor of the other games. I am a board game collector but more social style games I don't really resonate with much as I feel there are games with better strategy I would rather being playing at a given time. I wouldnt put the jackbox series games in the same pit as cards against humanity but it skirts the line and leads to my disinterest in the whole series. If you are like me but also just like having games…
