There is not a great deal of excitement, but we manage to sustain some curiosity as to how things will work out." Just some of my favourite performances by him - Damien all grown up in The Omen 3, Dr Alan Grant in Jurassic Park, the utterly charming The Dish and Hunt For The Wilderpeople. Oh - and My Brilliant Career as well - loved that film RIP Sam ❤️

neutral · AI labelView post →Laszlo Nagy’s alt movie poster for 1976’s “The Omen”. I do love how brave LN’s film work is,with design choices that can directly contradict what we’re used to: this, say, is very much not what’s expected for this horror classic. Especially the colours! It’s witty & yet still respectful & it works!

neutral · AI labelView post →It’s Jerry Goldsmith’s birthday. He could compose brilliant scores for any genre. I first came across him as a kid when I watched The Omen. Ave Satani spooked the hell out of me: he created a Gregorian chant celebrating Satan instead of God. Up is down, black is white: youtu.be/b5vyuaDjJXc?...

A rehash of The Omen and The Exorcist with a bonus Native American flavour, this is enjoyable nonsense, a manitou for all seasons. 3 out of 5 film-authority.com/2026/08/02/t...

neutral · AI labelView post →What horror movie do you think everyone should watch at least once? The Omen (1976) Much like the Exorcist you have top actors playing fantastical material completely straight. In lesser hands it might not have worked. Jerry Goldsmith’s Chanting score alone is enough to give you nightmares.

neutral · AI labelView post →Still one of my absolute favorite John Carpenter films. I’ve been listening to the soundtrack again lately. What fascinates me most about this film is that it might give the impression that it’s “Religious horror” in the mold of the Omen or the Exorcist, but is in fact something much stranger.
positive · AI labelView post →TRIVIA: Dan McDermott was denied a writing credit on 'The Omen' by the Writers Guild of America, as the screenplay was determined to be too similar to David Seltzer's script for the 1976 film. Seltzer received sole credit, despite being not being involved with the remake's production. (Wikipedia) 🖤
