neutral · AI labelView post →Very sad about the passing of Val Kilmer. An actor of wide range. Of course, Heat and Tombstone are widely praised films that he starred in. For me, his performance as Jim Morrison in 'The Doors' movie will be my number one. I do also recommend 'Thunderheart' and 'The Real McCoy'. #filmsky

neutral · AI labelView post →Kim Bassinger’s name is McCoy in the Getaway and if memory serves she played a thief or cat burglar in the movie The Real McCoy. I refuse to use Google so I’m just going to assume this is a shared universe and hope MCU is taking notes on how to do it right.

P.S.--incorporating the real "Watts Tower" into the movie is genius. My other fav Russell Mulcahy film is the Kim Basinger heist movie, "The Real McCoy."

neutral · AI labelView post →I stumbled on a trailer of The Real McCoy and was fucking jazzed to see a fun, bank-heist movie with Kim Basinger and a goofy ass Val Kilmer, but instead got a fucking snoozefest about the hardships of life on parole with a little dash of crime. v disappointed.
negative · AI labelView post →Solid heist-thriller featuring good performances from Basinger and Kilmer. Terrence Stamp also had his moments even as a basic, greedy, bad guy. Kind of a feel good movie to watch when you don't want to think too hard. 3.75/5
