The Secret
Directed by Francesco Maselli
Lucia (Natassja Kinski) is a volatile, exciteable young woman. She forms a romance with Carlo (Stefano Dionisi), who is somewhat callow and is very skittish. Their romance is not an easy one, but they are assisted in coping with its ups and downs by their mutual friendship with Franco (Franco Citti), an older, wiser and more stable man. From TMDB

positive · AI labelView post →Here are some storyboards from The Secret of NIMH drawn by Don Bluth himself. I know he's gone on record and stated this is the film he's most proud of and I agree. It's still one of the finest animated films ever put to screen.

I reviewed The Secret Agent, my favorite film of 2025. Haunting, beautiful, profound. www.rogerebert.com/reviews/the-...
positive · AI labelView post →Awarding the coveted David Roth "What A Picture" status to The Secret Agent (2025). Another really humane, inventive, and nicely nasty movie about trying to remain human in very bad times that is also a blast to watch pretty much from start to finish.

positive · AI labelView post →Also, because I am a film journalist after all: this new generation coming up has not lived under Brazil’s harrowing dictatorship or felt its terrible after effects in the 80s and 90s, so recent films like I’M STILL HERE and THE SECRET AGENT have been key in helping educate this new crop of voters.
