It's a cute, colorful, safe and enjoyable game for younger players. However, it is not the reasons I purchased it, as I was looking for a more complex adventure experience. After spending 1.5 hours in the game, I found myself mostly doing repetitive tasks, like collecting seeds, using a dryer on haystacks, directing minions to carry wood... I pushed myself to keep playing and when I encountered fire minions, the …

I've just finished the game and it's 2.30 am so would say it's quite addicting. The story is captivating and the characters are absolutely adorable. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a fun game that is not too complicated but still insanely entertaining.

One of the most unique "collectathon" adventure games I've played. A stunning art style, an immersive soundtrack, a storyline which has notes of Studio Ghibli sprinkled throughout all wrapped up inside of a game which is genuinely fun to play start to finish. Gameplay is like if pikmin and luigi's mansion had a baby with a map thats expertly designed and slowly becomes more and more interconnected as you progress. …

yesss i love this game!! it's very pretty and a lot of fun Unfortunately I have a problem and it seems that I'm not the only one. If you throw spritelings there's a chance that 1 of the get stuck or 1 get lost. It's difficult to find it back. Because you need every single one of them to complete tasks and continue the journey, i had to restart the game. I've restarted the game 2 times already. At this point I've got …

🎮 The Wild at Heart – A Soft, Magical Hug in Game Form 🌿✨ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ OMG, I loved this game so so much 🥺💖 From the very start, The Wild at Heart had me enchanted. The art style? Simply dreamy 🌙🎨 — like walking through a moving Ghibli painting. The woods, the lighting, the soft color palette... everything felt so magical and alive 🍂🍄🌌 👦👧 The two main characters, Wake and Kirby, were just so precious. Their …

95% of the 192 Steam reviewers we collected recommend The Wild at Heart. The complaint that keeps coming up: bugs can cause spritelings to get stuck, forcing restarts. Deal-breaker or nitpick?
Critics, per Wikipedia

neutral · AI labelView post →It's from the developers of The Wild At Heart - a Pikmin-ish game from a few years back. They've got some real 2D art chops for sure.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A look at some exciting games that are still to release in 2026, including a new game from Moonlight Kids (The Wild At Heart devs!), a wild pixel art horror game with live action cut scenes made by an Argentinian film crew, and some bonus takes on Control 2, Kena 2, the impossible hype of GTA, etc.

"Nah, that's crazy. No one could pull it off!" Moonlight Kids pulls it off "Holy crap.... they actually pulled it off!"
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What if Don't Starve was Pikmin and so chill you can take a nap after playing? You recruit a bunch of lil' dudes with special abilities and feel shameful when you get a dozen of them killed. There's stuff to collect, simple crafting (always carry some meals because beetles love to ignore your minions and charge at you!), and some enjoyably goofy writing. I avoided this game because the main guy has Tumblr Nose. Don't be like me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Would strongly recommend The Wild at Heart to anybody looking for a beautiful cozy game to immerse themselves in. Basically a cross between Wytchwood and Pikmin.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game for fans of the Pikmin franchise. Lots of different things to collect and different directions to explore, so if you get stuck there is always another path to try. Don't worry about getting locked out of achievements, you can always go back after beating the game. Completionist run takes about 14 hours on easy mode.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is mostly boring and the artstyle just makes it annoying to determine what's interactable or not. I don't know if it's just me but it feels like this game was designed for the player to just keep hitting progression walls so they have to keep back-tracking to previously visited locations only to find out you were supposed to go somewhere else to pad things out. I got to the part where there are 3 objective markers on the map, lo and behold you get to a roadblock going towards the left one,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this game way earlier in 2021 when it was on gamepass, and from the start i already felt a good vibes coming from the game. Fast forward to this year, i bought this game on steam and start it from the beginning again. This, this is an example of a developer that put so much love into their game. where players enjoyment is their priority. Just from the graphic style itself i already fell in love with the game. It looks so mesmerizing and beautiful. Every object looks perfect. And most…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you've been staring at this on your To Be Played Pile You should really purchase. I did this evening, and usually within the somewhat short but at-least-we-have-it two hours of play, I can often tell if a cozy game is for me. I've been playing five hours straight. In this attention-sucking-energy vampiric times, any game that can hold my interest in such a way as to have time slip buy like a kid again is good. I've hemmed and hawed about getting The Wild at Heart, putting it on and taking…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played it cus someone said it was a pikmin-like. It was similar but quite different. More story and 2D. Great game, do recommend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is like a cozy storybook version of Overlord (2007). You command different varieties of woodland sprites to collect resources, unlock new areas, and defeat enemies in a magical woodland plagued by an ancient evil. Progression feels rewarding and varied, with a combination of exploration, crafting, and environmental puzzles. Combined with a beautiful 2.5D artstyle and a lovely soundtrack, The Wild at Heart is a strong recommend. Plus, it's published by Humble <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I searched for something Pikmin-like and came across this game and it's awesome! Plus it has cats hiding in cardboard boxes. What more can you ask for?! =^_^=
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Playing this cute, warm tea sipping, blanket snuggling, cosy autumn vibes kind of game called The Wild At Heart 🍂
positive · AI labelView post →What a gem, beautiful graphics and an interesting story. Really loved the puzzle challenge to the game, it was just the right difficulty as I get overwhelmed quite easily. I recommend completing the grove challenges and bounties as soon as you can as that will help with completing the story objectives. I played on the easiest setting and this is one of my top three games now.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a pikmin-like game. Its super fun. It took me about 13 hours to complete and I enjoyed every moment. The graphics/art style, music, and gameplay are all very satisfying. I highly recommend. My only nitpick complaint is that there aren't many boss battles (really only 1 at the end), just some tough enemies here and there.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Games releasing this week! I'm looking forward to. Echo Weaver a time travel puzzle metroidvania! It's by the same folks who made The Wild at Heart which I loved. It's a very different kind of game but the gorgeous art style remains. store.steampowered.com/app/2184080/... #indiegames
positive · AI labelView post →The art is wonderful and the powers each character has creative. The story is interesting and the characters unique. Its not a terribly long game, but it doesn't feel rushed or too short nor does it drag on; the perfect amount of time invested.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Reminds me of Tinykin, which I loved. Really enjoyed the puzzles and exploring the world
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Wild at Heart, developed by Moonlight Kids and published by Humble Games, is a heartfelt and imaginative adventure that captures the feeling of childhood wonder, curiosity, and melancholy. It follows two children, Wake and Kirby, who flee from the difficulties of their lives and find themselves in an enchanted forest known as the Deep Woods. What begins as a simple act of running away soon becomes a journey of discovery as they encounter the Greenshields, an ancient order of guardians…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beautiful graphics, mysterious story, cool collectibles (cats!) and doable achievements! Yeah.. I definitely recommend this escape from home.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game because I wanted a Pikmin-esque game and that filled the itch. The art is very nice and the score is excellent, but that's as far as it goes for me. If you're looking for a story-driven game, this isn't for you. The plot is rather weak and simple. There is absolutely zero emotional pay-off for anything that happens to any the characters or to the world. You pretty much run around, collect Pips (the Pikmin of the game), solve puzzles, and do a few fetch quests. Crafting is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →if you've loved the games Pikmin, Luigis Mansion, Don't Starve, and Zelda, you'd LOVE this game. it feels like a love letter to all of these, with some of the most satisfying game mechanics from each of those incorporated into this game. the story is fun, the dialogue cute and characters interesting, and the art style is beautiful. the Green Witch character's art style very specifically reminds me of the murals of previous queens from the show Star Vs. The Forces of Evil, and i just think…

positive · AI labelView post →Solid as hell game. If you've ever tried Pikmin, give this one a go.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A small pikmin-like game with awesome art and puzzle design. Pick it up whenever you're in a mood to disconnect and play a fun singleplayer puzzle adventure.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Chill game, not hard, but not outright easy either. Basically a whimsical Pikmin clone, but I liked the clone better than the original, very fun. The game eventually gives you an upgrade for the map so you can see where all the treasures are. Very appreciated.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absloute fun. cozy, heart touching. 100000000000000/10 I LOVE U THE WILD AT HEART! <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it is great, not something that will drive you to rush the game but enjoy it slowly. i really took in the small things and its cute.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can't really put my finger on what I didn't like about this game, but there was something. In the end though as I plugged in through I found I was happy to complete it, and I remember it fondly.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my favorite games EVER! so cute, so cozy and relaxing! Wish I could play for the first time again.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is just what 2D pikmin should have been, but with significantly more charm in my eyes. The story told something with meaning, but wasn't preachy and pretentious about it like so many indie titles that tell a similar narrative end up being. The art style is also absolutely adorable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a wonderful gem! I thought it was going to be a nice 3 hour indie game, but it turned into a 17 hours fable that puts many AAA games to shame. Don't miss.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had a great time with this game! Cute art, clever puzzles, fun gameplay mechanics, polished, and an overall tight experience that doesn't overstay its welcome.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →open world adventure RTS game for beginners, beautiful art style, gentle pallets and settings, fun characters. very forgiving mechanics so some clunky controls can be forgiven. Toward the end of campaign younger (beginner) players may get stuck in parts and may need some help, but overall decent level of puzzles and hints – steady learning curve and fail states are not too harsh, and can always rebuild from colossal failures - without resorting to saved games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I tried the new Pikimin 4, and I still found this game more fluid and fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just for chilling out. The story feels like it's aimed at kids, and none of the dialogue is interesting, but what kept me going was the Metroidvania-like gameplay loop, which I actually enjoyed. Basically, you run around solving simple puzzles to unlock new creatures that let you access new areas. There were a few things I didn't like about the game, but the main ones were: - Destructible objects respawn, so you can't fully clear an area and get that satisfying feeling. - The 2.5D…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I LOVED the Nintendo Pikmim games, so I was excited to see an indie dev finally take on the Pikmin formula. This is NOT it. I really wanted to love this game, but there were too many basic problems. The keyboard controls are clunky and unintuitive, AND there is no way to rebind controls The vacuum pack was a creative twist on Pikmin's whistle mechanic, but the vacuum, unlike the whistle, does not recall your pikmin to you at the range or speed needed for Pikmin combat (which was already bare…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a mix of puzzle play and action, all within an interesting story. The puzzles are challenging but not to the point where you want to give up. The artwork and music add to the overall coziness and relaxing vibe of the game. Stop reading reviews and start playing, you won't be disappointed.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Third-rate Pikmin clone, cute at first but quickly becomes tedious, lackluster gameplay.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i really like the art style, and I find myself being invested in the story, i usually don't play games like this but I'm glad I gave this one a chance, great purchase
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just finished, completed all the achievements as well! I absolutely loved it! Regarding the gimmick, since I'm used to all the Pikmin series, it was quite easy for me to grasp. I enjoyed all the puzzles and got excited every unknown corner of the maps there. I was kind of hoping that the last part doesn't involve combat. (Similar to Mother, maybe?) Just because all the Spritelings has became 'bullets' essentially and their trait didn't play any role, or at least for me, it was too busy to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very cute and satisfying game for anyone who likes Tinykin-style adventuring! I had enough fun with it that I spent the little extra time to 100% everything.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the better Pikmin-like games I have played. The art style and the lore are wonderfully charming! The game is quite buggy, and I lost more than a few spritelings to them phasing out of the map and being unrecoverable. The last boss was a bit of a cluster and felt lazy, but I enjoyed the game very much as a complete package.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A lot of bugs. After I removed my first boulder the screen will go black and I tried everything to restore it, saves don't work, when I through the little familiar sometimes it literally disappears.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's Pikmin. Puzzles aren't too difficult and feel good to solve. Great game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a gem. Wow. Art 10/10, fun wusel gameplay, lots of exploration & collectables, charming weirdo NPCs, took me about 20h to 100%. Loved every minute of it.
