Sadly even though I will keep playing this game to finish every DLC and stuff after writing this (already completed main story), I can not recommend this game. The game is incredibly buggy and the NPCs basically have super vision and super hearing. Personal Rating: Very Positive (80%) It is a good game, just can get pretty grindy, and some of the things the NPS's do are...questionable to say the least. I guess there is a story, but you can just play how you want (if you want). NPC's themselves are invulnerable, so you have to take it sneaky. I hate Home 205 and 206 with all my passion still.

Playing Thief Simulator was a really fun and sneaky experience. I enjoyed planning break-ins, scouting houses, and timing everything perfectly so I could grab the best loot without getting caught. The thrill of sneaking around in the dark, hiding from neighbors, and escaping just in time always kept my heart racing. Slowly upgrading my tools and skills made each new job feel even better. This game is super rushed to make with poor tutorials n zero real plot. Difficulty spikes hard once u reach the 2nd street and u gotta restart all over if anything goes wrong. Late game is straight up dead boring. It fits way better for watching streams instead of playing solo. Also this old title has pretty low fov. I rarely get 3D motion sickness yet I still felt dizzy n upset playin it.

My dad always told me that "stealing is the dumbest crime you can ever commit." I was a chronic pilferer of cosmetics from the local WalMart. Remember when you could just swap tags on two similarly-weighed items and get a tube of $12 lipstick for like 50 cents by switching it with the tag of a plastic bowl? Well now there's Orwellian spy cameras everywhere and they force minimum wage employees to play bouncer at the self-checks, so those days are over. But with Thief Simulator I can relive the…

It takes too long to get to interesting (by this games standards) level designs, by the time I got there I was sick of the game. Too much time in between areas, should be level based like Crime Scene Cleaner, has no reason to be this half assed open world. The car stripping part of this game is way too tedious and boring. I get it, you made that other game about stripping cars, but why put that games mechanics into here? It's not fun when half the parts you are stripping gets deleted because…

I played the game for Play or Pay 1st Cycle of 2026 and it was picked for me by Aquatorrent. I won this game through SteamGifts. Thief Simulator is one of those games that’s really fun at first and then slowly starts to show its cracks the more you play. Sneaking around houses, scouting targets, and figuring out the best way to break in is genuinely enjoyable. There are a lot of different approaches you can take, which keeps things interesting early on, and the maps are actually pretty well…

Starts off slow, but there a lot of things to do after, even other than stealing, such as decorating/renovating your hideout, buying different cars, etc.. Very in depth game. A bit janky, bit thats the fun of it. Only complaint which I can think of is that optimization for PC isn't game, using a surprising amount of GPU and CPU when running on default settings (high).

Sure, there's the initial rush of adrenaline during your first heists in the neighborhood and earning your money [well, in the effort you put in to not getting caught], but after that, you start seeing how tedious and irritating this game is. There isn't much story apart from some small bits of dialogue between you as the Thief and Vinny, it's mostly just him telling you what to do. Then there's the game itself. Game is fun. It shows its age and it's not particularly pretty, but it's enjoyable. If you're the sort of person who likes stealth gameplay, infiltration, and creating/deploying strategies, this is a good game for you. Dismantling vehicles is a buggy slog, for example, and feels off for a game about burgling. Some of the later homes require herculean levels of patience and a…

Early game is quite fun, in the janky indie way. Terrain collision and stealth in this game are both atrocious, but this works both ways. You can get stuck on some stupid geometry, your loot and car can fall through the floor, but you also can do some really stupid parkour. But then you enter the second area, and suddenly everyone is always at home, everyone always has a taser, and the moment you ♥♥♥♥ up even a little bit - you're dead on the spot. Oh to be a thief in the night- or day! The choice is yours! Anyways- I enjoyed this game: there are a couple of bugs, but I didn't mind them honestly, the most buggy one I had was items or NPCs getting stuck in place, which a quick rebooting of the game fixed. Most of the mechanics I enjoyed, though there are a couple I actually really hate: the original lockpicking sucked, hated that- was really glad when I could lvl up and get the better stuff. I'd still recommend it- it's a lot of fun.

buggy mess. Pathfinding for npcs walking outside is horrible. Collision detecion on car is just pain. Police and npcs can see through objects, they know exactly where you are, it doesnt make sense. Game has a good idea but npcs and police need better AI and its needs better gameplay behind the "run or hide" part.

In this game you steal and get into increasingly stupider situations because of the game running on a hamster wheel and a few prayers

Thief Simulator is a game about—you guessed it—robbing houses. It’s a straightforward thief simulator—nothing overly complex: you break in, steal while avoiding people, leave with the loot, and sell it to fund break-ins at wealthier homes. It follows a simple, obvious gameplay loop. I’ll outline the key aspects below: graphics, gameplay, optimization, enjoyment, achievements, and a final verdict. Graphics – The visuals aren't mind-blowing; they are typical for the game's age—functional, but…

The game feel VERY janky with everything. Somehow it very worst in stealth than payday. Enemy patterns are switch back and forth at random. You are expected to do this many times in the game and it has very little quality of life.
