60 of 207 · most liked firstI cannot recommend the game in its current state. I ran into a lot of frustration with the relationship system. It is not very rewarding and the few points I was getting every day did feel like a drop of water on a hot stone. My character was sleeping when I had to renew my lease. I had 9 plant pots growing crops. I got kicked out mid-sleep and all my crops were gone when I re-newed my lease. Bye money invested! For the love of anything, please let me scroll highlighted interactables. I am…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is fairly tedious more than it is fun. Everything is a minigame and although there's a lot to do, it takes a lot of grinding before you get to anything fun. Even chatting with other residents feels like a long process and I've never felt annoyed talking to residents in any game before. You also have to select your life dream fairly early in the game before you get a sense of what you actually like to do. Once you do, there's no way to change this other than by creating a completely…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is very shallow. All the things that it seems to promise you can do are incredibly dissappointing. NPC are all the same person, just copy paste, plus because there's not that many customization options, they all even look the same, have practically same haircuts, and all their faces are the same. Interacting with them is basic which isn't the worst, but improving the relationship doesn't really gets you anything whatsoever. You could have 0 relationship or 100, and it doesn't make a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really didn't expect this game to be so annoying. Needing to complete a mini game for every action, (Using the bathroom, showering, ect) Isn't something I find fun. Socializing is just as annoying as you have to sit and wait until you can chose your next action. Your needs can only be filled if they drop below a certain percent, which makes managing them a huge chore. At least you can change the some of the mini games difficulty.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The trailer looks fun, but it doesn't show issues that are deal breakers for me. - Every action has a delay timer (literal clock that shows on the screen) before you can do it. I don't mean duration for the action to happen, but the duration before an action even begins This applies to absolutely everything, even trying to sit on a chair or pick up trash off the floor. - The characters make incoherent noises because the game is not voiced. This cannot be switched off. The voices change mid…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Please DEVELOPERS! I love this game but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE cut down on the ANIMATION LOCKS!!! (especially when talking with people and washing your clothes!) I want to play the game, not wait for my character to finish speaking or stand around for 30 seconds waiting for my clothes to wash when I could be cooking in the kitchen! Would also like to see speed options to fast forward time. Love the game so far; keep up the good work <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Saw the new updates and decided to play new game! I start new game and get new job as waiter, I talk to boss Russel before work as He welcomes me to Pixelia.... He then gets offended over a joke. I finish work and get message from Russel after work "Im sueing you!"..... So I get 4 star Lawyer and some witnesses.....Russel gets Perfect 5 Star Lawyer, I lost the lawsuit by a landslide I didnt win the judges favour once the entire trial!! So I was forced to pay Russel a couple grand OVER A…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I start the game after almost a year and lost my save. No worries, I started over again in sandbox mode. Got a apartment and a friend I didn't want. Got fired from a programming job due to how obnoxious the mini game was. Worked as a butcher, and had a quest where I had to go on my "land" which doesn't work. Wasted hours of my life trying to level up my traits, only to try to propose to a woman of my dream of which the game said I was already married. Ran to the civil office and the rep told…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really want to like this game, and I keep opening it and trying to give it a chance. It has really good mechanics, and a lot of charm. The issue is that it is a slog. There's so many loading screens and animations are super slow. Watching the conversation animations is cute the first time, but tedious the seventh time in the same convo. Certain "minigames" are just pressing a single button and waiting, and I dont see why there couldnt be an option for it to just happen without the input.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Is this a good game? Yes, absolutely! Especially for one-man team. The best way to describe this game would be "the spiritual successor to the Stick RPG series". Would I recommend this game to people? No! It's super janky and unpolished. The art style sucks, There's an artificial progression system. There are lots of visual and gameplay bugs. Some minigames still happen even if I disable them in the options menu. Also the UI is just bad. Really bad. Sometimes it's really painful to play this…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's a pretty cool aesthetic and general concept here, but it fails very early in multiple ways for me. The store page pitches it as such: "Create your Pixelian's story on your own terms." Nothing could be further from the truth, at least in the first 71 minutes before I bailed. Everything is quest driven, very on rails, and guiding you toward specific actions and goals. Even if it's just a lengthy tutorial that ends at some point, it's still not creating my story on my own terms. There…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to like To Pixelia. On paper, it has so much going for it, and you can tell there’s genuine effort behind it—but after spending time with it and finishing it, I just couldn’t get into it the way I hoped. First, I want to give credit where it’s due: the pixel art looks great. There’s a lot of charm in the visuals, and the overall presentation does a good job of pulling you in at the start. It also clearly takes inspiration from life-sim games like The Sims, and in some ways it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have played this a little. When I played I became best friends with my neighbor and got a job as a waitress to pay my way through school with the goals of becoming veterinarian or doctor and then maybe starting a family or getting a dog. Sometimes I worked part time delivering packages. Simple life. Then I watched my husband play this.. Within the first hour he was hiding in dark corners and assaulting innocent pixelians passing by because he had joined a gang. One of the poor pixelians that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall, I give this a thumbs up for the game it wants to be, but the actual execution of the game lets it down pretty hard and there's a lot to overlook. As such, I like the game but I'm not sure whether I enjoy it. Many, many years ago, The Sims did little handheld games and based on those ideas, a spin-off series called "Sims Life Stories", where... rather than placing a custom-created blank character or family in a home and running a full sandbox, you'd get a pre-made character with their…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →*trumpets* Hi friends! Here is my upcoming review lineup. As always, I get reviews out when they're ready since some games take a while to get to the 1 year (in game) mark. This usually is 1-2 months total but can be longer. 1st: Everafter Falls 2nd: To Pixelia Hope you look forward to it! ♡
neutral · AI labelView post →If you enjoy this game, I'm genuinely happy for you and hope you continue to do so. For me however, after giving it more than a fair shake (11 hours at time of review), I'm throwing in the towel. Game is full of good ideas with half-baked execution and poorly thought out systems. First, the bugs. Nearly every negative review mentions them. Some of the ones I encountered, and regularly: Opening the map kicks you off your vehicle; loading into another zone on a vehicle has a chance to spawn…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun, however game has crashed on me 3 times in my current 1.5 hours of game time. If the developers can get the constant crashes fixed, then I will change my review to recommend this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I mean it was exciting to begin playing. I've been wanting a rpg game with this concept for the longest time, however one that LETS me play. There are frequent issues amongst players trying to play before the game crashes on them. I personally could only get through 20-30 minutes before the game completely crashes. One time it didn't even save my progress and the final time just completely froze after I saved. Yeah, To Pixelia is a nice game, but a game is supposed to be playable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game but doesn't have cloud save support. And it's annoying
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a game that has so much potential, but is showing a lack of good focus on the backend. Firstly, I love this game and feel that it is a great indie title and the pricing is fair for what you get. So this review is positive. Unfortunately, I feel this game had a chance to hit the mainstream, but poor timing on release and state of the game on release hurt the first impression phase (a very important phase to get right.) The game has been worked on and there is a whole load more…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Now that I'm done with my review, I'm wondering what I should review next. Do y'all prefer: 🅰️ Older game that has already been released a bit ago (e.g. Fae Farm) 🅱️ A new game that just released/out of early access (e.g. Dinkum, To Pixelia)
neutral · AI labelView post →I probably wouldn't have discovered this game if Paralives was not recently released and my curiousity of other life-sim games led me to finding this game. And oh man.. Thank you Paralives for this! I dunno how I can explain the best way possible but I'll try.. this game is so deep in every imaginable ways that it amazes me how an indie game of this caliber can have this amount of features and provide you an incredible life-sim experience, and all this while costing so generously cheap…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been playing the game for a bit and it's very fun. If you like sandbox life sims, you'll probably have some fun with this. That said, the game suffers from some big issues that may make you want to wait. As such, you'll see that there's a long con list, but I still recommend it because the game has been really fun despite these negatives, and I'm hoping that the devs continue to polish the game. It's a diamond in the rough. Pros: - Unique approach to life sim mechanics via minigames,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game but you can't walk 5 steps without a 3 second loading screen. It's a pixel game, come on. Also every. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. action. has a little loading symbol. You can't just sit down, you have to wait until a little timer is ready. WHY? This game really takes the "cozy" to "boring". At first you are impressed by the large town and many shops, thinking of all the possibilities. But then it gets shallow really fast. The shops just unlock additional styles of furniture, if you are happy with the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To Pixelia brings together several features that make it stand out, but I think there is room for a little more depth in each career path. The music career in particular could be expanded to help promote your albums, with things such as interviews on radio, television and in magazines, as well as the option to film music videos. I would also love to see music labels added. They could help launch your career by giving you an advance to record your albums, then take a weekly cut until your debt…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game. It reminds me of Little Computer People from the 90s (or House in a Box for any middle aged US gamers). I have had minor bugs that have not affected my game play due to the regular auto saves. My only bug bear is that I can only rotate sofas and some of my NPC friends have L shaped kitchens yet I can only line mine up along a wall. I love the variety of jobs, apartments and skills. I also like the new upgrade which has made the mini games easier. Currently trying to get better…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game keeps crashing after playing it for at least 30 minutes. I would be interested in playing it more if this didn't keep happening. As it is now, I'm probably going to wait for future updates before picking it up again in the hopes that this issue will be resolved.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →if this game was made with 3D graphics, it could take the throne of the sims the almighty xD Even its current state is great tho.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So I almost let the negative comments turn me away. I impulse bought it and love it. I get stuck in doorways alot and it will tell you how to do stuff but wont hold your hand if you forget lol
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wish there was a neutral rating, because I would give that here. As it is, this is a "not yet". It feels like Early Access, although it's not. Interactions are sometimes not intuitive and hard to control (when 2 interactable things are close to each other, often I can only manage to interact with one of them). Lots of furniture can't be rotated to make my apartment look nice. On the other hand, exploring the city is fun and I like the waiter mini game (haven't tried other jobs yet, but I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Has potential, but right now its repetitive as hell, controls are messed up, etc
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good game, reminds me of the sims bustin out. but with much more content
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A lot of systems and a lot of stuff to do, packaged with horrible UI and sluggish controls. I see the idea, but I need it to be smoother and crispier to enjoy it myself.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →lags a lot and Crash Constantly and UI glitches
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like a pixel-art life-sim game as much as anybody, though the "genre" is kind of dominated by farming sims thanks to Stardew Valley. So when I heard that this game was about to come out and it focused on living in a big city instead of a little farm next to some village, I figured I'd give it a shot and I bought it as soon as it was released. I promptly installed it and gave it a try but I quickly bounced off because the controls were clunky on Steam Deck, the systems weren't that clear and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm having a lot of fun so far! There's so much to do, and it's a nice alternative to something like Stardew Valley that focuses too much on farming for my own liking. That being said, there are a couple of things I've run into that I think could be improved: Future updates: - Allow responses to NPC texts. - Rotate furniture feature for all items. - More colours/a colour wheel for skin tones. - Include mean interactions with townies. - More personality trait options. - More varied furniture…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So this is one of those games I wish had a star rating. Should you get the game? Most likely yes. But there is major things to note. For one this game feels like it is an early access. Like it isn't buggy, but it is completely missing given features like the ability to rotate your furniture, you can't sit on the seat across the TV and watch it, the thousand text messages people send that confuses the player since you can't actually do anything with them. The game is down right interesting and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →10/10 Got divorced, lost my apartment and now my character is sleeping on a park bench. Best life simulator ever.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →devs (or a dev as it seems to be a solo dev) cooked with this one (and still cooking with updates). gotta love indie games made with passion.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →one of my favorite game this year! i don't understand why people give this game so negative. i would say i understand issues like slow animation but overall i give it 1000/10 the price is affordable, new update, and a lot of things to do in the game 100% worth ur money. sending love and support <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Like the game, but it's definitely missing some lore between characters and careers. Also getting to know things about other Pixelians is useless since you can't do anything with that information. There isn't that much customization for the player, but I've seen on NPC Pixelians with highlights in their hair and different colored jewelry, so it would be nice if that was available. Daily marriage requests are hard work considering all the grinding we are already doing in the game. It would also…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →THANK U FOR MAKING THIS GAME, THIS IS SO FUN!! IT'S LIKE GTA + SIMS !! IT IS SO ADDICTING
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm not sure why the game keep freezing and crashing but i do love the game. I have to save the game every 3 minutes to make sure I don't lose my progress. I hope developer fix this in the new update. This game has big potential. The game looks very lively with lots of npcs and places to go. I'm not sure if others also having issue like mine, for now I do recommended this game but in the future who knows.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Sims if it played like Stardew Valley. Not a perfect game, but that's to be expected with an indie studio and such a broad scope of gameplay. you can do pretty much anything in this game, and the devs are constantly giving out new updates. Ignore the negative reviews and either pick it up on heavy sale or keep your expectations low until it's a finished project.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is pretty good! It is rough around the edges and kinda buggy but I liked what was there and it will definitely get better with more content over time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a really interesting diamond in the rough, but boy is it rough. On the bright side, the devs seem to be working all the time on it. I just sort of don't care anymore after trying over and over to give the game another chance. There's bugs everywhere despite how long it has been in development. I get that that's sort of the norm for video games now, but it's nonetheless ridiculous and not worth the time spent.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To Pixelia, developed by Pixeduo Studios and published by Crytivo, is a charmingly ambitious indie life simulation game that blends nostalgia with freedom in a sprawling pixelated world. Set in the vibrant city of Pixelia, the game invites players to step off a bus into a living sandbox where nearly anything is possible. From the moment your character arrives, the game makes it clear that there is no single path to success or happiness—your journey is defined entirely by your choices. Whether…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'd recommend this game if they managed to do away with the frequent loading screens from just moving from one area to another on the city map. It disrupt the flow of the game so much that I just dread crossing certain roads knowing it's going to have a loading screen, and then another loading screen if I turn back.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely love this! 9.5/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i ADORE this game. it is so cute and cozy and has amazing potential. i really really want ppl to vocally support the game because i NEED more updates! unfortunately, the game is quite buggy - most bugs are inconsequential but i did have 1 game breaking one that i figured out how to avoid. its also rather clunky, specifically with controls. there are some grammar errors or odd sounding English sometimes but it's 100% clear enough for you to understand what you need to this plays like a game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Right now I have to give this game a thumb down as a wouldn't recommend. It's overwhelming because you get thrown into stuff with no proper guide and there IS no guide. Nothing you can go back to just in case you forget information. There's no tutorial for jobs you're doing for the first time either. I started doing butching and I didn't even get a tutorial on how to do the job properly. The job started and people were asking for things. On top of that, there's a modelling career and there's no…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game of endless opportunities! Still needs a bit of fleshing out but the dev does amazing feature rich updates. Very optimistic about where it's headed.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Surprisingly this life sim has the richest features in any of the life sim i've played. Very underrated game, kudos to the team developing it! *chef kiss*
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I started of with the demo and I knew I just wanted to buy the full game. There is so much to do! I really love how they implemented some story missions and honestly, the game feels and plays looks great too. I can’t wait to see what the devs have in store for the next update!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Actually a really great life sim! I'd like to see a little more content and some of the bugs ironed out, but I honestly think the game is in pretty good shape right now.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So far I like the game. Howerer, I think there should be a few fixes. Mostly with jobs butchering and bakery. The customers are constantly moving, so when tryin to complete orders you have to wait for them to seperate. I've delivered to the wrong person due to this. There are no highlights on customers or order numbers. The baker job is bugged. I honestly don't understand why there are options to add flour and then run to the front of the store to get water. This wouldn't be annoying if…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →FIRST: I've had this game pretty much since it came out and there was a lot of bugs originally and the developer has worked hard while listening to the community to give us what we want and path things as needed. It is still a work in progress but it is at a point now that I could happily recommend this game. I have no doubt the dev will continue to put work into this game to make is something very special. This is a good game, especially for the price. It's what you expect, a pixel style…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →89. To Pixelia New updates keep coming out for this game even after it was released and I love that! I just want to wait a little more so I can experience as much as possible.
positive · AI labelView post →so after about 8 hours of gameplay, i can easily say its been worth every penny i spent on this game and entertained me so much. its got plenty of stuff that i still havent discovered yet, its got a fun gameplay, cute graphics and potential to be bigger than what it is! very fun game which i can define as being stardew's city counterpart.
