4.5/10 could be a game on par with mario galaxy, just needs some tweaks you can tell from the achievements how fast people quit this game cause how frustrating the tutorial is + so many cool ideas in this game - story + can skip everything - cant finished the game cause the end boss attacks once and just stops..... nothing i can do + was able to fight end boss but had to reset the level 3 times and get to it + music …

It looks extremely cute and well-executed, but it just fails hard for me on one detail: the controls. Not only did the main menu immediately show that it never tested using the mouse (options menu spinned like crazy just trying to move to the options on the sides), but the core mechanic of the game is just not fun to me due to the execution. The sheer fact this game is founded on making trails of happy blob things …

How the review score is mixed is beyond me. This is one of the most chill, stress-free games in existence. It is extraordinarily forgiving. You go around discovering interesting ways to create paths of cubes in order to gather fruits and upgrades. That's really it. Its very satisfying, the player movement is super flexible, and the level design is fun. You cant die, you don't even have to worry about running out of …

Fun game! Really unique and interesting. The blocks mechanics are really clever, the visuals are vibrant, the music surprised me a lot, and I laughed a few times while playing. A little hard to understand at first, but after you understand how it works, it starts to feel natural.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Oh wow, I'm surprised it has so many negative reviews. I must have some undiagnosed spectra of whatever, because i enjoyed it alot. If you like open world exploration-puzzle games, then there is a decent chance you will enjoy it too. The puzzles usually can be solved in multiple ways and if you have a tendency to trying breaking games (and enjoying the process), it may have extra little something for you ;)

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Edit : original review below. I finally managed to find an answer for the bug mentionned in my initial review. FPS was too high. You read that correctly, FPS was too high. Apparently going over 60 FPS breaks some mechanics in this game. Turning on VSync and reducing my monitor refresh rate from 75Hz to 60Hz in Windows settings (no FPS cap option inside the game) solved the problem. Unbelievable. After finding a workaround for this ridiculous, horrendous bug, I'm still enjoying the game. But…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hm. I just can't really get into this game. I like similar kinds of puzzle experiences, but this one feels very open and obtuse. It doesn't feel good to explore, things aren't very clear. idk. I don't like the president character, he and the togges all talk too much for my liking and none of it matters. I just really didn't enjoy this experience in any way.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's really a shame that this could've been a genuine classic to the collect-a-thon genre. It's vibrant with colors, creative characters and genuinely sometimes mind numbing puzzles (most are fine, some are very specific and I had to look up a video guide on billibilli that some guy made). The gameplay is simple - drag different colored cubes across a zone (ala Super Mario Galaxy or something like that) and collect everything - fruits, seeds, letters, triplets. Once you're done with one zone,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Concept is nice but how the game is made leaves much to be desired. At first you gonna be struggling with controls that's for sure. Game have owerhelming amount of dialogs for a puzzle game and introduction makes you wanna skip it. Gameplay wise there's almost no collision with environment so you will just clip through many objects. Music and sounds are poppy but that's ok. Visuals are nice and reminds of some decent Nintendo game. Overall play it if you must otherwise skip it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute graphics, sounds, music, texts and characters, but the idea and gameplay is not fun and not intuitive. You can drop blocks to achieve certain tasks (touch a certain object, or reach something higher) It's not fun to find a starting point and make a path of blocks to complete the task. (it's more fun to have a power that works whenever you want) This restriction is too big and sucks out all the fun. There are too many obstacles (gaps, objects) in a level that prevent to get you into the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Togges is a GOTY contender for me. There I said it. And I’m saying it early because of the many negative and cynical reviews that I think are burying an amazing hidden gem here. First impressions are important. And my first impression like many other players (look at review times, players tend to give up early) was not the strongest. The first level is colourful, blocky but fairly sparse - think Green Hill Zone. The movement is a surprise. You have a finite amount of cubes or ‘Togges’ as they…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Definitely don't recommend this one even at the current price. It feels mediocre to control and play. I played a level or two and though "so this is the whole game?" Creating the lines of togges isn't rewarding and isn't very fun either since it's kind of finnicky. I'm bummed since I've been waiting for a big discount to try this game out due to the polarizing gameplay and sadly it's not for me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I must be dumb as sh!t because I couldn't comprehend the starting mission. Just gave up.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're looking for a cute, alternative puzzler and can accept a few oddities, then Togges is well worth your money. Even without a sale. To me, Togges is a refreshing experience so far. With lighthearted atmosphere, lots of quirk, tame puzzles and loads of discovery. It lacks polish in parts. But it makes up for it with it's alternative mechanics and solid foundation. I bought this on a -94% off sale and have 0 regrets. The start tutorial is a bit longer than needed and repeats itself.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's not that good. Awkward/poorly-explained mechanics and too much flavor text. Normally I like flavor text, but not when it's constantly interrupting the tutorial and there's so much of it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hear me out: It's good, and it's weird.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →feels original for the first 2 levels, by then you're kinda bored and the next 4 feel excessive, so i skipped them and beat the end boss...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A "puzzle-platformer" that doesn't work as a puzzle game or a platformer. The few puzzles tend to either be stupid simple or just obtuse. Even worse, they seem almost incidental - the actual core of this game is bombarding your brain with dopamine by constantly throwing collectables and one-off mechanics at you. The platforming is more about trying to wrangle the controls than any test of "skill". The fact the PC port is lazy with begrudging keyboard+mouse support doesn't help. Then the actual…

neutral · AI labelView post →I really want to like this game. The art, the humor/wits, they're lovely. But I couldn't get the grasp of the game, mainly cuz of controls that feels imprecise, and why they had to make TWO kinds of tutorials (basics, and advanced that basically just repeats the basic tutorials in its starting bits), and YET somehow the tutorials didn't explained everything you need to know. I'm sorry, I really want to like this, but I can't.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I accidentally bought this game in a bundle and, since I now owned it, I decided to give it a try. I never expected how much I would love this game! It's fun and challenging in unexpected ways with plenty of collectibles for the completionists like me. I'll admit that there were times I wanted to give up in frustration because I couldn't find the last seed I needed for that 100%, but I found myself coming back to this game over and over again. 10/10 would recommend to anyone that's considering…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wasn't interested, got it in a bundle, gave it a shot, insisted past the weak tutorial, then started enjoying it. It reminds me of Supraland, only ugly, unpolished, occasionally frustrating... In short, inferior. Still, its vastness, coupled with the abundance of mechanics (new ones never stop appearing) and variety of challenges earn the game a lot of credit and entertainment value. Things you can do are rarely explained, so expect light-bulb moments hours into levels. Many traversal and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Togges is a great puzzle game. If you are OCD about collecting things, Togges will definitely fill that impulse. The game feels like something between Supraland and The Witness. It offers big, open world puzzle maps where you can basically move to from one puzzle to the next at your own pace. The level of depth in gameplay is incredible as you discover a plethora of new game mechanics, often by accident. Puzzle difficulty ranges from trivial to "how the hell do I do this?" There are so many "I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely worth it on sale. Very fun mouse+keyboard game, I guess it's like a mix of Mario Galaxy/Odyssey, Minecraft and Pikmin? A nice modern take on the old school platformer / collectathon. Lots of cool mechanics to discover and good level design. Finished the first world and got my money's worth.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Togges is a fun and silly game about placing tons of blocks, collecting seeds, fruit, letters, and other collectibles while taking over the universe. I put in the effort to 100% the game, and had a great time doing so.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In terms of gameplay, I have to say that I enjoyed the first few levels and some of the bonus levels, but after progressing a bit, my enthusiasm soured, and I now feel pure frustration trying to complete certain levels. Exploring isn't fun anymore either. The controls feel mediocre, and I didn't find the story very compelling.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Togges is both original and familiar if you’re a fan of 3D platformers. The world and structure is a bit similar to some of the 3D Mario games but the controls with the Togges is what makes it different. The closest comparison might be Pikmin but not really at the same time. You control coloured squares by placing more of them wherever you go. This is needed for finding secrets and solving some simple puzzles. The game is all about exploration and finding all the collectibles in creative ways.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Astrobot world map is very similar to my previous game (Togges) World Map! 😭 I wonder if this is just a coincidence or someone at Asobi actually played my weird game? #Astrobot #Togges
neutral · AI labelView post →A delightful collectathon built around a novel and versatile cube-laying mechanic. The presentation is top-notch, with a number of expansive and colorful worlds that all have their unique flavor and never feel derivative of typical platformer cliches: A pastry city in the middle of a desert, a level based on scaling a giant oriental-themed tree, a medieval town on a crescent moon... The sound and visuals are very nice, and it's always satisfying to absorb one of the fruits you're tasked with…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I hate the writing in this game. There's way too much commentating and unnecessary tutorials throughout the levels- ironically there are times where you're not sure what the worlds want out of you. but the puzzles are engaging and fun, you just gotta experiment. I didn't expect to like the game as much as I do. Was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed the unique, stylistic features in each of the worlds & the movement is very smooth. I like it. but still, horrible writing
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Thank you so much for releasing on PS5 day one, I platinumed Togges (pray for me on that one trophy) and started following your 2nd game since, looks super fun! Congrats on the launch, will probably pick it up today
positive · AI labelView post →i dont get the negative reviews at all. very creative fun relaxing comedic childlike game. better than most puzzle games as well. freedom and difficulty is balanced. the only bad side is that it explains nothing first then too much later. teaches you about life in general without being a burden. a lot of content for the price as well. this should get a lot of rewards, i mean it. very unique. good controller support as well.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Togges, developed and published by Regular Studio, is a vibrant and inventive 3D puzzle-platformer that captures the spirit of classic collectathon games while introducing an original twist built around its central mechanic of manipulating living, cube-shaped creatures. Set in a whimsical cosmic universe, the game places players in the role of exploring vast, interconnected worlds filled with puzzles, challenges, and hidden collectibles. The premise is as peculiar as it is charming: you control…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really just awful controls, poorly explained mechanics and tutorial and tedious as sin, only needed to play for 20 minutes to get bored out of my head despite the cute art, I saw the mixed reception and am reaping what I've sown. Terrible puzzle game don't even bother on sale.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great Collect-A-Thon hidden gem, I was honestly surprised by how much I ended up enjoying it, I completed it 100% and loved basically every moment. I admit that the beginning was kinda rough, the tutorial is slow, the plot and the dialogues don't feel very interesting and the mechanics are kinda hard to grasp fully at first, but as soon as I was given the freedom to explore I started to fall in love with the game. The spreading mechanic that is the base of the game may seem weird or limiting…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is not 'bad' by definition, but the game feels rather repetitive. I mean sure, the game is cozy and silly, it achieves what is going for and the puzzles can be rather challenging at times. But the game play is dull and feels quite copy and paste. For example, drag toggles, collect fruit, collect letters and that's all I could see the appeal but on a personal level i dont see this game to be doing puzzle genre much justice.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tentative recommend. If you like solving a lot of small puzzles in big levels, you will probably like Togges. I was dreaming about dropping blocks afterwards. Do be warned that the more you progress the more glitches you'll encounter, and there's some cases where using keyboard + mouse is just awful so maybe keep a controller handy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’m playing this game now, and it’s everything the dev said it would be, which is why I’m so dang happy b/c it pulls reference from a few of my faves. FYI, same dev that made Togges, another huge indie fave of mine.
positive · AI labelView post →I really like this game, it's relaxing and chill.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is absolutely peak! It's giving me serious Mario Galaxy vibes
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great puzzles for the developing mind.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute looks and tedious as sin game mechanics that are not fun at all. Give it to your least favorite 6yo, brick stacking-inclined child/relative to entertain themselves after they get tired of Minecraft.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wasn't sure I liked the cube-placement mechanic at first, but the rules are simple and there are plenty of ways to get hints so you can track down every collectible. Fans of 3D-platformer collectathon games should definitely give this one a try. 10/10 I fell in love with it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Why is grass taller than the player
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As somebody that was entirely lost at the beginning, and fairly new to this genre, the controls feel janky and then the tutorial is a little odd. Placing the togges doesn't feel quite right to me. That might have been part of the tutorial and the earlier part of the game, but as a new player and certified noob, it felt strange. It was hard learning and there came a point when I had to cross a door and had absolutely no idea on what to do. If you can play better than me or put more effort into…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game could benefit from additional polish and bugfixing but it is still a fun and engaging 3d collectable style game. I got the game for 2.31 aud from the humble store but it would still be worth it at the deep discounts the steam store is providing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this game for 80% off, and still don't really recommend. There are some positives, but mostly negatives. -Pros- + Gameplay is fun + Togges are cute + Interesting Core Mechanics + Puzzle elements are (sometimes) good + Mini levels are fun, they should of kept this format the whole way through -Negatives- - Progression not there. You unlock 1 colour on level 1 and then all remaining 6 on the next level nothing gradual about it. Missed opportunity to have players work towards something.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a really fun game, Just relax and take your time. There were a few moments where i got stuck and one instance where i even had to look up a solution The floating island in windy islands, the game hits that you need to bring green blocks up there, but i could not . However with the game not being super popular there are almost no guides on the game. Overall, great game and very relaxing
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love togges. The cubes are so cute and adorable with their cute little cheeks and baby noises. Its a challenging game of cause, but its so cute that its hard to stay mad at the puzzles. 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →if the game wasn't so incredibly buggy and broken it would have taken me a lot less time to finish. this is the kind of thing i expect from early beta builds. had to manually edit my save file to get the last achievement to trigger. also the dialog makes no sense whatsoever. the gameplay is fun when it works but it isn't often
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played a demo for this game at PAX East 2022 and it was very fun then. It's still fun now that it's been released! It's extremely weird, though, so keep that in mind. I would compare it to Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker, Super Mario Galaxy, and Katamari Damacy. Weird but very satisfying to interact with. Edit at 4 hours: This is one of the most creative games I have ever played. Exploration and experimentation are very, very rewarding. It's like nothing else out there. Later levels get…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really want to love the game but the tutorial is too long, too many words that you might think your steam two hour time limit to try before refund might be over soon. Too many things to memorize for such a game that you just want to play relaxingly.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This team's previous game, Togges, was extremely interesting and unconventional. This is a talented team exploring new ideas rather than choosing safe options. Excited to dig into this one; I'm sure it will be consistently surprising as well.
positive · AI labelView post →The block spreading mechanic is weird and I didn't get it. Dropped this game after the 1st level, I just wasn't for me. 3 / 10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a puzzle game with plenty to do, has an even-handed difficulty level, and it's fun once you get into it... but it has several ugly lumps of illogic* that mar the experience. It doesn't help that the game's not all that popular so there's not a pile of guides to get you through those parts. It's still possible to 100% complete, but you'll have to get past the ugly parts. The graphics are cute, and the developers have made some delightfully whimsical little worlds to explore. Overall,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute game with huge content: 7 worlds, many riddles, many secret places. I really like the mechanic of cubes that we have to seed across levels to finish them; it changes from usual platform gaming. The design is beautiful and full of colors, and some places are very fun (the Moon, the Tree, the Volcano...). A few minor downsides: too many dialogues and explanations, and some of the riddles don’t seem logical (e.g., the bell gives the power to change day to night, hmm, okay? And at night, the…
