An interesting first-person puzzle game revolving around drawing triangles in the world which change gravity when you walk on them. Starts out strong, but unfortunately it goes on WAY too long, and the puzzles get more and more tedious and obtuse until it stops being fun.

I never would thought i would get motion sickness from playing a first person puzzler yet. I ended up with a terrible headache and motion sickness at least 4 times for this game. First off, TRI isn't for everyone, It's a puzzle platformer with very complex mechanics when compared to games like Portal. Although it has nothing to do with programming, It is similar to Zacktronics puzzle games in terms of having high complexity, masochistically hard end-game difficulty, and multiple answers for the same puzzle/problem. Some of you may not like that, but others will certainly love it! As do I! …

Brilliant fps puzzle game. - Unique mechanic. Tasteful design. Tranquil music. Solid lore and backstory. - Straightforward main puzzles with rising difficulty. - The collectibles are practically the hard mode, finding them takes patience and getting them all can be really challenging. (Most of them are tied to hidden achievements as well). So the player is free to choose how deeply to explore a level. - Levels vary …

I bought TRI after adding it to my wishlist upon seeing a review which said it was highly underrated. Unfortunately, in my playing it I could not say the same. The biggest problem with this game is not the puzzles, but everything else: - The narration is unbearably dry and uninteresting (contrast this was the witty humor of Portal that keeps you going, or the philosophical musings of The Talos Principle) - The music is quite obnoxious (in my opinion) - The graphics are simple geometric colored…

Don't be fooled by the pretty screenshots and positive reviews, this game is TEDIOUS. Levels are comprised of uninspired rooms that require you to build your own platforms and paths to find 3 main McGuffins, that the game calls idols, to progress. There are also numerous optinal ones throughout each level too. Spotting a potential hiding place for an idol is followed by boring clicking to create a path of Tris to get you there. Portal and Q.U.B.E. get this right, you can be stumped on a…

Information / Review English TRI: Of Friendship and Madness is a puzzle / adventure game developed by Rat King Entertainment. Gameplay / Story As an introduction to the game, the player has to go through a kind of course in which a ghostly figure explains the basic control elements. This game has interesting aspects, and is pretty good in many ways but also has some mechanic flaws, and most of the way to solve levels is tedious... Putting a ♥♥♥♥ ton of triangles just to climb upward in some way for instance, so at times the game can be less of a puzzle but putting a bunch of stuff down tediously. Its meh 5.6/10 I don't recommend it though as you have better options out there then this, the majority of the game is tedious...

The atmosphere and artistic direction of the game is great, the story can be forgotten however. TRI is a strong recommendation against. While the game is really creative and unconventional in a good way, the main game mechanics are still too janky to be fully enjoyable. Sometimes you understand exactly what you need to do, but struggles against the mechanics and the keyboard in order to be able to achieve what you want, which is one of the most frustrating things a game can do --- the challenge should be in figuring out the solution to a puzzle, not in executing it (at least not in a game…

TRI is a mixed bag, but a mixed bag worth your time. In terms of first-person puzzle games, there's few to none that ever meet the bar that Portal set. TRI, however, manages to occasionally reach that lofty height when it isn't getting in its own way. Divided into 15 separate chapters, TRI's quality is heavily dependent on when in the game you're currently at. You can group these chapters into a couple of distinct 'worlds' that each focus on different mechanics, and its these mechanics and…

This game isn't for everyone. I don't think it's a bad game, so I'm a bit iffy on not recommending it, but it's a game that doesn't respect my time. As one progresses through the game, the levels become bigger and more intricate, and the amount of work one has to do becomes exponentially bigger. It's not that the game is insanely hard, it's just insanely tedious. The main mechanic of the game is to create triangles to use as platforms, or to place them on walls to be able to walk up the walls.…

The game annoyingly asks to you leave a review every single time you load it up. It's almost as bad as eBayers who email you 30 seconds after the end of the auction begging for positive feedback. So here you go. TRI is tedious. It has a really good premise, and it's quite pretty to look at, in a polygonal sort of way. The mechanic is an interesting one - the ability to create solid platforms on which you can stand to move yourself around the place. Unfortunately, that seems to be the only…

The longer I play this, the less and less I want to. This is just unfun. Puzzles aren't really "puzzles", it feels more like sitting and having to do and redo triangles that are just a bit off on angle and most of the playthrough can be brute forced with them. Plus last time I've touched it before was in ancient 2018. I open the game and find myself on level with insane amount of white on top of the ceiling where one of the idols is hidden and it's such a pain to navigate in it and it's just a…

I really wanted to love this game - it has an excellent visual direction and wonderful soundtrack, and I am normally a fan of puzzle games - but I just couldn't get into it. I think it might have to do with a level of tedium that other reviewers comment on, but more importantly for me, I found that most of this game's puzzles were simply not fun.
