What an unbelievably pretentious and terrible game. It attempts to guilt trip you on nearly every question regardless of what answer you pick, while forcing you to listen to unskippable voice lines saying what a terrible person you are. Then after each question it adds a "spin" to try to make you feel even worse. Most of the time the spin doesn't even make sense given the content of the question. For example, …

This is one of the most pretentious and ham-fisted games I've ever played. (Spoilers ahead) "Based on real-world philosophical papers" my ass: one choice is based on a riddle (the three switch problem) that has NOTHING to do with philosophy and NOTHING to do with the choice itself (why put it there then, if not to pad the in-game reading list?), and one is a Matrix reference that lists the Wachowski's in the …

The point is to question your morals some and give you a laugh. You don't get that with pats on the back (now u don't get that with harsh judgement either tbf but that's for a different reason). Ehh... OK, look, this is mostly a flavour thing. My mind works a particular way, and it doesn't mesh with this game; you may feel differently. For me, the problem I have is that trolley problem type scenarios only work if two things are true. First, it the context in which I'm given it acknowledges that the philosophical question here isn't just about how we decide our values between two groups, but also whether we consider there to be a moral imperative to take action in situations where we…

I love ethical dilemmas, but I don't care for this. In the original trolley problem, you don't NEED more information because why would you HAVE more information; you've got a very brief amount of time to make a decision. There are good debates to be had, here. In many scenarios presented in this game, you would have more time to decide, and more information WOULD be needed and COULD be gathered by the time you needed to make a decision. In some scenarios, you would most certainly have more than…

The concept is interesting but I'm not a fan of the execution. The questions get absurd to a degree that makes them hard to really contemplate in terms of what you'd actually do. I thought it was going to be a game that actually gave you some fairly hard choices, but it just gave mainly silly situations and then mocked you in an obnoxious way regardless of the choice you made. That would be fine, except the objections it usually has don't often address the blindingly obvious reasons to take…

While the game states that there aren't horror elements and that you'll just be asked philosophical questions, it began to include random jump scares which when not prepared for made me incredibly uncomfortable. The tone of the game also doesn't seem to want to genuinely talk about morality or philosophical debate but rather takes a negative tone of all answer choices being wrong which kinda feels boring after a while and like there's little point to the game. I recommend that if you still…

If I could leave a neutral review, I would. This game is, in simple terms, f**ked up. But so is my taste in writing, and i rather enjoyed that part. The concept is that there is no good choice. You're stuck between a rock and a hard place. All things considered, as a woman, I didn't find the way abortion was handled to be horribly offensive, but I don't think it was done well either. I have a like-hate relationship with the narrator. What I will say that really made me angry was the dog…

I was never good with black and white decisions, especially considering how rarely they appear in real life. The Trolley problem in its conception is very good at being on of those, considering how difficult it would be to jam it on the switch rails. Many of the problems here, however, force me into making what I feel is a choice between two dumb options. (SPOILERS AHEAD) Some examples include whether or not you should cut off your leg with a saw or a blowtorch to free yourself from a plane…

TLDR; VERY GOOD GAME - incredibly culturally and politically relevant. The reviews say mixed but I genuinely think a lot of people just don't like the feeling of being judged, and this game masterfully judges you as you choose, whether or not you're picking the "most morally correct option." The whole idea of the trolley problem is that there is none- which Trolley Problem Inc hones in on! I applaud the writer and narrator for really hitting it home in how awful the options are by…

SO. SLOW. I wanted to make choice, I ended up waiting for text to appear. You can't pass animations. The text shows up so slowly even if you accelerate the game. The default animations of the screen are extremely annoying. Just couldn't stand it. A shame because the principle of the game is good. But gosh that's annoying to play.

Has potential. Unfortunately, it fails to provide the moral choices objectively, with the developers constantly inserting their own political opinions into the dialogue. Even on the boot screen. It comes with this horrid tone of superiority that continuously hampers what could otherwise be an interesting game. If this was 20 minutes long, had a bunch of questions, zero dialogue, and simply compared my answers to everyone else's, it would be a thumbs up. Instead, we get this ragebait…

The Demo was good, so I bought the game. The game is not. It quickly goes to a segment on AI cars, and the ignorance on the topic is astounding and forces you into false choices. After every choice you make, it will tell you you made the wrong one. That sounds fine -- it wants to show a different point of view, right? Except here's an example of how it works: "Should you continue selling driverless cars, or pivot to an ad-based driverless taxi service?" (Why you can't do both is not…

More or less, this reviews a slew of ethical conundrums, and you get to decide how you will act. A recommendation I'd have for the devs, is to address the common problems people have with the trolly problem (and similar). For example, nothing is certain. Any action you take only has a probability of arriving at the desired outcome. Ethical problems become much more interesting when probability is taken into account (for example, would you take a 20% chance of killing someone, if it also had an…

I ended up agreeing with the world exactly 50% of the time. I think most people are accustomed to the philosophies of the 'most good' or the 'least harm', but I don't actually believe in that. If there is good and evil then the existence of both implies that a neutral option exists, which the game does not provide but of the two choices one could be construed as 'more neutral' than others. It is perhaps the arrogance of the human condition that makes us dominant, but that in turn also makes…
