What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 171 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Mostly Positive (1,109 of 1,549 positive).
Players praise the intense sense of speed and realistic riding challenge. [1][2][3] Many find the game rewarding after mastering its difficult controls and track knowledge. [4][5][6] Some criticize the physics and AI for causing unfair crashes. [7][8][9]

Very Good realistic controls, practically a simulator, feels like you're riding a real motorcycle. But everything is spoiled by inadequate opponents whose AI is set to Destroy the player, they ram from behind, making you fall all the time even if you're driving perfectly, and there are no side mirrors and you can't see them. It feels like you're playing "road redemption" or "carmageddon" and your goal is Not to …

I will start this review by saying that I've first played it for 3h and I did't enjoy it... left it for dead thinking it's sh*t. But recently I've reed a book called Road Racer, Michel Dunlop's biography. And just before his first ever Isle of Man race called Manx GP he said that What it was all about was You, Bike and the Road ahead... I don't know why but it inspired me to get back to this game, learn how to …

This game should be called - randomly fall of the bike The game. But its fun as hell. Be prepared to restart any kind of races as you start learning how to play this game, A LOT. And thats not a bad thing. You will crash, you will maybe rage and fell frustration, but thats also not a bad thing. Cause when you successfully finish and win a race it really is rewarding experience. You will fell good. And we all play …

After 600 hours, I can confidently say that I love it. The key to success is achieving smoothness, which comes from deeply ingrained track knowledge acquired through many hours of play. Understanding the subtle nuances of the bumps, bends, and cambers, as well as approaching the correct gear and speed, is essential. Knowing your markers is crucial, yet even then, you may still crash! The thought of doing this for …

Very good game. The sense of speed is just insane, it feels so intense

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's a bunch of people who are bashing this game because is "hard", got "bad physics", and so on. From a guy who ride big sport bikes, let me tell you: Ride 2 and etc feels like a game compared to TT. No simulator is completely perfect, and there a feel issues I would love to get iron out in this tittle, but it would make impossible to drive on a gamepad. Bikes are HARD, demand complete attention while driving. TT makes the riding engaging, fun, and dangerous (as it should be). I'm having a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this videogame is exactly as the greatness Joey Dunlop said: “at TT it doesn't matter where you have to turn on the gas, but where you have to close it” so difficult and without help and especially no rewind, you'll have to concentrate 100% to avoid a any mistake, also banal. a bit like in boxing: if you let your guard down... you're screwed. if you like the motorcycles and TT races, especially you are a biker in real life. you are welcome. i highly recommend it on offer.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I now FULLY understand why 280 riders have died here in just over 100 years of racing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to give this game a positive review. It has great graphics and a wide selection of motorcycles, but the controls? The rear wheel seems to have a mind of its own in certain situations. It's impossible to predict when it will lose grip, and once it does, there's no way to regain control. That’s not how bikes behave in real life. Even on EASY settings, I struggled while AI opponents took turns at much higher speeds without any crashes, whereas my bike kept oversteering. The crash…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Worst bike game I've played. The physics make no sence at all. You oversteer in situations where it's physically impossible to happen, slightly lifting off the throttle and you're done, however, when braking or accelerating (even through fast corners) nothing happens, you just got the grip. This makes you having to drive extremely slowly on tracks with low speed multi-apex corners, then the AI beats you obviously. Trying to go faster will just make you crash over and over again. You feel you…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No! If realism is what you are looking for, it's not here! AI riders on rails while you are Ice Road Trucking. If you don't know the tracks, then don't go looking for help with the virtual racing line. It will tell you to slow or brake where the AI continue full or almost full throttle. Collisions cause you to do weird acrobatics, collisions with the AI do nothing to the AI. If the AI collide with you, you end up off your bike. Low speed connections with anything other than the tarmac cause…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mixed feelings with this game it was ok graphics and what have you but I didnt like the way the bikes handled and it is not exiting enough for me to finish the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TT Isle of Man Ride on the Edge is a motorcycle racing game, where you compete in this dangerous event from the title, to become the best in the world. I got this game for free from my friend. What the game does well, is the graphics. First of all, the sense of speed is really good, works pretty well in general. Shadow and lighting effects are also awesome, most of the enviroments where you racing are good looking. However, sometimes the game offers weird animations, lifeless looking places…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Haven't played for very long as you can see and i will request a refund after posting this. The brightside of the game is that it's very faithful to the event, runs fantastically well, looks great visually and i like the career mode structure a lot. But when it comes to the riding... it kinda falls apart. When the bike is going actually fast, on a straight line with smooth controller inputs, everything is great, but then you hit a jump or dip, or have to let go of the gas and you randomly get a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →utterly unplayable, even on easy mode the AI are unforgiving and the bikes handling is dismal. As for the sidecars...!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The physics and handling in this game is terrible. More often than not the rear tire will kick out for no reason wether you are going slow through a corner or fast. Doesn’t matter if you use throttle or not either, you will somehow end up on the pavement. Sometimes you will be going straight and there is no danger at all and the bike decides to kick out and crash. The AI will also knock into you from behind or sideswipe you and you will go into the wall. But riding over sidewalks and dirt is…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just got into the time attack mode to learn the controls. It's good! I thought that the controller would be trash but it works OK, I guess. The graphics are good and I like listening to music and cruising around the IoM with no HUD. PEACE OUT HOMIES

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even Though This Game Looks Amazing and the Bikes Sound fantastic, It has It's problems, Firstly being the Bike Physics, there bad, I've seen better physics on MotoGP for the GameBoy. Then There is the AI, all I can say is that They Like Your Ass so much They even try too get on the back of Your Bike. Only get this for the Time trial on the Isle of Man Circuit, or I've heard I've heard the second game is better so get that.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hello! An excellent motorcycle racing simulator. I've been playing for a while now. I like everything about it, including using the keyboard. I chose the most difficult controls: I completely disabled all pilot assistance systems, such as ABS, traction control, and others. I also exclusively use a manual transmission when driving. I also appreciate the amazing sound of the motorcycle in this game, and the graphics are also top-notch—you can admire the picturesque island landscapes while racing.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have been playing this game for years and only just starting to master it and get some good lap and race times on the scoreboard... what? they made sequels? is that why i cant get an online race? Oh well. You should get this, sink 150 or so hours into it, instead of the 3-4 hours the negative reviewers did, then you will see how good it is.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →More like a neutral review than a negative. Starts ok, you'll go straight onto a lap of the Island, because that's the reason you bought it, great, done that, good fun. Even if the physics aren't spot on it captures some of the feeling of thrashing your bike around. Here we go, Island done so time for career mode..... Again, starts ok, blat around trying to pull a clean lap or stage out of the bag, then you hit your first mass start race and it all goes to cr#p. Ai riders that run on rails…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A high-difficulty and flawed arcade/light simulation hybrid that showcases some of the most gorgeous road courses in the United Kingdom at astounding speeds. Positive: - The tracks and environments look stunningly beautiful. Spanning across the United Kingdom, all aspects of the local geographical characteristics are showcased with much attention to detail. There are mountains and coasts, fields and castles, forests and towns, and it is all delightful to experience at tremendous speeds. Every…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is not necessarily a negative review or a bad game, but based on my experience with the 2nd one(which was pretty good) this is in comparison a lackluster. I'm still trying to figure out how the game physics work, it's weird, you seem to fall off the bike randomly, especially in corners, it's so frustrating. In TT Isle of Man 2 I feel cause and effect, once you understand the game's behavior you can then avoid the traps. With this one I only see/feel the effect not knowing the cause. So I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I tried this for under 20 minutes. It was under 2 euros on sale and I gave it a go. Game did not allow me to set up my xbox controller in the same way the TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 2 does, I have over 180 hours in that game so this felt unplayable for me. What a pity, the side car coop sounds interesting. Refunded.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A solid bike simulation, even more enjoyable with Liquid Drum & Bass.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game 234 x Backlog Quests 34: TT: Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge So this was fun. Its another racing game obviously but the track selection (while limited and there being two boring ones) were pretty good 7.5/10
positive · AI labelView post →An adrenaline-pumping racing experience! The realistic tracks and smooth controls make it incredibly exciting. Perfect for motorsport fans and thrill-seekers! 🚥🏍️💨
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game to try motorsport. best of series to feel high speed with beautiful visual with rather old videocard. rx 570 Good physics .try to play w/o assists and separate brakes! FUI xbox 360 mode controller a must for all TT games. difficulty over middle can be a quest due to Ai riders can easily knock you out of track if you get on their path too suddenly. FOR ME TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge game was the reason i got learned to play with conntroller since 25 years ago sony playstation…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nothing is more thrilling then slamming down a narrow street at 200mph where one tiny miscalculation, one slight misstep, and its game over. Love it, highly recommended.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Realistic and exhilarating, TT Isle of Man lets you experience the rush of speed and danger without the risk of falling off the ramp. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3319654706
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not the best simulation. Bike slips multiple times, sometimes it just slips on its own, no turning no corners, still
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While I've had this game for years, it never really clicked with me until reinstalling a week or so ago. This one really shines relative to any sense of speed. I'm more a sim racer, motorcycle games always felt a bit off timing wise. This one really provides the sensory input to allow you to fly (literally/figuratively) across these courses. I've since bought TT:3 - refunded (full price is pricey - didn't have that same flow feel) With the refund I picked up TT:2 and enjoying that - but…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →*A controller is highly recommended* A very good game and a lot of fun. The bike physics take a little time to learn so you do need a bit of patience picking and setting up a bike that suits your play style. You have several in-game options to choose from, type of bike and manufacturer (Honda, Kawasaki, etc.), riding positions and even set up your own leather colours. You also have a number of tracks to race on and the infamous TT course, you can choose from solo, multiplayer, tutorial and…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In Short... I was on the fence regarding buying this game for the last 5 years. I saw it on sale for $5, and finally bit the bullet. I already know this will be the best $5 I've ever spent on Steam. Make sure you get it on sale while you can! Quick back story; I've been a Sim Racer for the last 20 years or so. However, 2 years ago, I had to pack my sim rig away as I unfortunately no longer have space for it. So I haven't done much racing since then, as I don't enjoy racing games on a gamepad.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fast as hell, I really hope it will be VR soon, and so does everyone else.. I used to ride a CBR 954 and this comes pretty close,, TT #2 on ps4 is ok. I wouldnt buy it for PC.. I really hope #3 is finer tuned.. I think anyone that gets this game needs to watch The history of Isle of man to appreciate the game. The tracks are almost identical its super cool to see the track in real life vs game. In real life, i know when the corners are coming due to memorizing in the game. Kinda trippy. lol
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I first thought this game was a bit off - my bad. it's amazing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i like this game , its pretty insane to think real people ride superbikes around the isle of man

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"TT Isle of Man Ride on the Edge" is a rather long name for a video game, but also a video game about riding a sports motorcycle on the Isle of Man. Gameplay consists of racing a motorbike in third person perspective through the Isle of Man TT speed race. There's multiplayer modes, quick races, and a career mode where you design your own rider and livery and take part in numerous racing competitions, earn money and buy different motorbikes. There's not a lot of competition for professional…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is trash. I understand what this game is trying to be. It's a motorcycle simulation, not an arcade racer, so I'm perfectly fine with there being no rewind system unlike other contemporary racers. If you crash because you took a corner too fast or made a mistake, that's on you. You're supposed to learn the course, improve your riding, and deal with the consequences of screwing up. That's part of the appeal of a sim. The problem is that the AI apparently didn't get the memo. They seem to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yes, I recommend this game but only to patient motorheads interested in learning the beautifully rendered 60 km (!) Snaefell Mountain Course. You can also race segments of the track. The career mode and other tracks feel tacked on and can be ignored in my opinion. But if you have the patience to learn the bikes and the track you can have one of the best and most immersive moto‑racing experiences on PC. I like to race the Mountain Course like a roguelike now: crash = restart. The bike…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the game is light to run, but with great graphics, amazing playability and the play level is not easy - APPROVED!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the control is so weird
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →INCREDIBLE SENSE OF SPEED, there is very few tracks but the track is very long. the bike is very responsive so i am quite surprise its very fun to play if you like speed and a challege due to the narrow roads. If you put into SIMULATION mode you have to take the corners and feather the brakes. On straights Slow down by using back and front brakes together, then down shift before the corner. Never use brakes during corners or else you will fall lesson learnt lol
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The controller feedback is absolutely amazing. Not many games utilize the eswap pro trigger vibration unfortunately. This game feels better than some racing wheel honestly. Hidden gem! Try sidecars with your friend and family! It is so much fun!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →get the new one? this one stutters whenever you start a new lap and obv they aint gonna update it so goodluck playing this one and setting lap times
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →nice gameplay and detail but i think the control should be more realistic because it feels a little too sensitive even though i already setting the sensitivity
