What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 184 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (287 of 319 positive).
Players praise the game's beautiful art style and deep, mind-game-focused combat. [1][2][3] Some reviewers note the game lacks content and has a small player base. [4][5][6] Several players mention bugs, especially with keyboard controls. [7]

Don't get me wrong, the game is GOOD, the artstyle is STUNNING and the concept is NOVEL and entertaining. HOWEVER it is a BROKEN mess. You essentially can't play on keyboard at all, as it constantly breaks. There are a myriad of other bugs as well ranging from glitching localization, through visual/audio bugs that lag the whole screen and blow out your eardrums every time with some characters, to the game being …

You've seen the positive reviews expressing awe at the beautiful art and deep combat. Maybe you've seen the negative reviews that say there's not much content in the game (all 15 negative reviews as of now are from early access, btw) I have played 17 hours of this game on release (patch 1.0) on keyboard only. I have played through the story mode with all characters and other solo modes on the hardest difficulty (AI …

Two Strikes is a masterpiece focused in 'yomi', A multiplayer game done right: Easy to learn, hard to master. Even if your friends are not into fight games, they will have a great time. The game visuals and Soundtrack are outstanding!

A true hidden gem of a fighting game, recommending with only praise to give. Lovely to the eyes, super satisfying sound effects, good music, lobby system that works and great netcode (NA East-Hawaii was very playable). The main attraction is definitely the gameplay though, the low amount of moves per character betrays deep mindgames and satisfying conclusions for every interaction. Its just so fun man!!!!! PLEASE do …

Gameplay is simple, yet complex. Love the artwork and music.

The premise of it is a fighting game where if you get hit twice, you’re cooked. Gonna be a fun one for sure. Catch it at www.twitch.tv/jrocthegod www.twitch.tv/Prez
positive · AI labelView post →Great baseline game mechanics, nice visual style and actual online PvP mode. Amazing combination for such a low price. Hidden gem of a fighting game, don't miss it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The absolute best character selection screen I have ever found in a fighting game is the one from the early access version of Two Strikes. Shame it was heavily reworked...
positive · AI labelView post →Is this the game for you? Some things to go by: Do you enjoy simple mechanics? Do you expect big combos? Do you enjoy pick up and play? Do you like switching up characters once in a while? Do you enjoy multi-player? Out of these questions the only one where people will be disappointed is doing big combos on characters(Think King of fighters, Tekken, Street Fighter, ect). However the game doesn't prevent you from doing combos, its just that the combos in question are not meant for…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm so happy I bought this amazing game. I give it a 10 out of 10 but the only thing that sucks about this game is not the game itself but I can't find anyone to play online. But I love this game and I hope they release a physical edition in the future with all dlc.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It lacks content all around, that would not be a problem if it didn't cost 9 euros, which is too much for a game that when playing solo offers about 15 to 20 minutes of entertainment, and while playing with someone else you can expect that to extend 30 minutes more. If it was three times less money I would understand, but right now it´s not there: - Gameplay with a controller feels slow and clunky. - Music: While enticing at the beginning, becomes very repetitive very fast. - Art and Design:…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Easy to learn, hard to master. For people like me who admire Street Fighter as a technical masterpiece but lack the input skills to ever be good at it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game. It has a more lenient learning curve compared to other fighting games as combos are not the center of attention. In fact it is very much deserving of the "easy to learn, Hard to master" description. Any fight can be ended with 1 well-placed strike and as such mix-ups and mind games come to the forefront. on the base layer, the ability to feign an attack with a separate button as well as cancel attacks with a dash allows for a variety of tricks and mix-ups to bait your opponent into…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had the great opportunity to speak to the developer at gamescom and so far i love the vibe of the game. Hopefully there will be online play added in the future. If you like fighting games and enjoy old samurai movies, be sure to check this one out.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is awesome but only provides like 30 minutes of play time. It's something you revisit every few months. I love the art style and the characters. The concept is amazing too but for only 30 minutes of play time and almost nonexistent player base it's not worth the 10 dollars. If it was around 4 dollars then I would recommend.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice game for those who want a break from conventional fighting games. This one focuses on fighting fundamentals and doesn't require going through the learning curve that most current games of this genre have. Although there is still some work to be done in certain aspects (like online performance), the experience is satisfactory overall and the developers have direct contact with players via discord, constantly working on improving the game. I would definitley recommend the purchase.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it will take Two Strikes to like the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Visually stunning, and with a lot of potential.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Raw. Footsie. Mind game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →just opened share play to 4 people and ran a tourney, cool game. imma get a tattoo of the characters too cause its a pretty game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this prior with the Demo. And the game is even better than it was then. The combat is intense as hell, being that all it takes is Two Strikes to end your foe. Or one with a Super Move. Each move matters alot, and you have to time everything right lest your foe cut you down. And what I appreciate about the game is that each character really feels distinctive, with weird unconventional playstyles for most. But a clear speciality for each. Like one character leaps into the air,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've played very complicated fighting games, I've played very simplistic fighting games. This does not feel very good to play. I think it needs more depth to the gameplay and I get the gimmick but I feel like it's too stiff of a game for the concept. Where's jumping? Where's lows? hell why can't we block? I understand the concept of the game but it's just rock paper scissors with some slight variance and that never feels good in a game because you could just play rock paper scissors for free!…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →🎮 2026 Game #68: Two Strikes Cool one/two hit fighting game. The gameplay is a bit stiff, but is effectively a fun little rock, paper, scissors twist with parries. Also loved the character designs, overall art, and plethora of game modes. And Baki is here for some reason??? 6/10 #IndieGames
neutral · AI labelView post →You might remember a game called One Strike, it was on the Nintendo Switch and it was in the best sellers for many times! Did you know that Two Strikes is the direct sequel to One Strike? Crazy, right? #NintendoSwitch #indiegame #NintendoSwitch2
neutral · AI labelView post →This game is unlike anything I've played before. The concept behind the gameplay seems simple, but there's quite a lot of depth to it. The feel of strikes, the artstyle, the sound design, the music- it'll all great. I listen to Hozion's theme almost daily, such an atmospheric piece. The story structure is... interesting. I just wish you could skip the dialogue. If you mess up and die in the middle of the story run, you have to wait for all the lines to show up again and again. But that's…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you enjoy fighting games, Two Strikes will be an absolute blast! The game is easy to pick up, contains lots of depth, and is more focused on mind games in fighting games over execution. Art and music are fantastic and devs are continuing to improve the game! I absolutely recommend Two Strikes
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is the truth. no bs just fundies
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →cool game with an amazing art style and soundtrack. pretty simple combat with like 3 ways to attack. desperately needs online mode for it to be more popular and fun. even if the online mode is just to play with friends via a player host system.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The artwork is incredible. I fell in love with this game instantly when I discovered it at EGX this year. Still early access so needs work obviously but it is so fun and engaging. The tension from knowing any strike you take could kill you. The variety of styles from the different characters is great. I've not dipped into the solo campaign yet but very much looking forward to. The passion of the developer can be felt when playing this game. So simple, yet so so so effective. 9/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →make it so you can change controls
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gameplay is simple, yet complex. Love the artwork and music.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In light of the new Tekken announcement, I feel like a hipster for having looked at something Baki related before hearing about this. Also hey, Two Strikes is a great game
positive · AI labelView post →I really enjoy the simple mechanics and stunning art style. There arent many people online but I think we can change that. If anyone wants to run games add me 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a game everybody should play once. It is easy to have fun and very rewarding when you learn. Every character is different and every playstyle has room in this gem :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I didn’t expect to enjoy Two Strikes as much as I do. I picked it up on a whim, thinking it looked cool, and it completely won me over. It’s one of those games that you can just jump into without reading a tutorial or memorizing inputs. A few buttons, a few matches, and you’re already having a blast. What really surprised me is how tense the fights feel, even though the controls are super simple. It’s all about timing and reading your opponent. One hit can end the round, so every move…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the best "simple" fighting of all similar games. Easy to learn, hard to master. The art-style is awesome, the soundtrack rocks, crossplay online with good netcode. And you can even play some matches with devs in their discord! If you like fighting games, this is one of the best. If you wanna try the fightings, this is the one!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun and simple, dope art
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not online multiplayer smh
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I beat this game in 11 minutes. A dollar a minute. Not worth it. Get One Strike instead. It's much more polished with more intense fights, and more than four characters.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is just a demo, but it is so well made and stylish. blessed game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun, singleplayer/local multiplayer only for now unless you use something like Parsec, the game is a bit rough in terms of bugs, but they're definitely working on it, if you would like more information about the game, or just people to play with, consider joining the Discord: https://discord.gg/39phVMn
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent concept and immense creative for the character design. However, there's still a LOT to work through in terms of general bug fixing. From simple position detection and unwanted movemente, all the way to the default controller layout not working in the game (you have to manually change it). But this is all Early Access issues that will probably be solved. I still recomended for the great visuals, amazing soundtrack, and awesome neutral gameplay with a very different 4 character…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So I have played at least 10 hours of this game pre-steam release on the multiple demos released by the devs, and I can confidently say that this game is well worth cost. It is currently in its early stages of development so a few characters are yet to be implemented, as well as dedicated online; but this should not deter you from picking this game up. The gameplay is based in a system where it takes two or one strike(s) to kill, with timed blocking and dodges as the means of avoiding being…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played Two Strikes recently. Very conflicted on it. It's an amazing concept and plays nice but feels really lacking. This feels like more of a concept rather than a fleshed out project. Despite that for 15 dollars, the game is super fun
neutral · AI labelView post →2 touches is all it takes to finish. Story of my life
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hey all! Alestia and I are gonna be checking out the new DLC for Two Strikes! A fighting game all about those footsies😎 Come say hi! www.twitch.tv/allomerus_ch...
neutral · AI labelView post →This Game Is Goated The game is petty early on in its life so it does need a few QOL tweaks but in saying that The online is stable and smooth The gameplay is simple yet fully of dept The art style is fire "You should play Two Strike now! and give the developer some of that moola and chi-ching so we all can play inside this blue trapped bubble. Like what are you even here for? Not to play Two Strike? Play it. and I mean that with a hundred percent, with a thousand percent. "
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As somebody new to fighting games, I cannot recommend this game enough. For the longest time I was curious about the genre but I never managed to invest enough time in any game to be able to properly engage with them. Two Strikes doesn't demand a lot of execution from its players allowing you to quickly learn other skills such as positioning, mind games, reads, etc. There is a substantial amount of single player content making it a good place to explore characters and game mechanics, just be…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The artstyle is among the most gorgeous I've ever seen in a fighting game. It truly is pure art! And the gameplay is so addicting, always being just two hits away from death makes every fight super tense and exciting.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is like Samurai Shodown distilled into pure fun. Really easy to pick up for beginners due to simple inputs, no button mashing, no combos. The mindgames with feints are insane. Cant wait for the online multiplayer release.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →really stupid fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game makes me feel like a cool, badass manga character. Highly recommend. Wouldn't recommend for singleplayer tho, AI cheats like a mf parrying EVERY SINGLE attack lol.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is such a fun pastime and i genuinely enjoy it. there are some retro street fighter aspects with the clashes and the perfect parry's, it reminds me of that classic arcade game feel. i didnt play much one strike, but after only playing this, i can say its well worth the purchase.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Two strike is the best fighting game I've ever played. Everything about this game works, the game seems simple but you will soon find out that there is an insane amount of depth in this game, due to the movement and the interactions b/w the characters. The music in this game is something that took me by surprise, it takes the environment that you are in and shows a specific mood which really makes you feel that emotion, take for example the stage for the character "Ayai", the destroyed homes…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing and beautiful game! Can't wait to play against friends online if that happens!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is great! I love playing this game to just chill
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Edit: Congrats on the full release!! One strike was good but this game is just a huge update to it. Gameplay is better, music is better and the Artstyle is just on an another level. Also huge thanks to developers, they listened to my problems with the game and fixed them in a short time. I'm looking forward for for the full realese and your next projects.
