What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 183 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (6,130 of 6,703 positive).
Players praise the game's movement and traversal as exhilarating and satisfying. [1][2][3] Many reviewers highlight the beautiful visuals and fantastic soundtrack. [4][5][6] Some players note the short length and lack of depth in story and exploration. [7][8][9]

I finished the game in 3.4 hours and I have to say I'm not really sure what they were going for. The game is littered with collectibles but the fast paced traversal made me not want to search through every nook and cranny but rather keep up the momentum and keep going. Exploration didn't feel very fun and the rewards for the collectibles are just more energy which never felt really relevant. The giving and taking …

Absolutely breathtaking. An incredible experience with gorgeous visuals, superb movement and traversal, wonderful music, and a fascinating story. Honestly one of the best games I've played in a hot minute, and one I can't recommend enough, go give this a try, you won't regret it.

Ultimately a "gotta go fast" game like this is useless if it doesn't have buoyancy, speed and momentum on its side, but Blue Isle Studios did nail it, and almost ten years(!) after release that feeling of floating fun holds up. Don't expect a great deal of creativity in your platforming, there's a strong linear path, and I made the mistake of exploring in an open area before I was supposed to unlock an ability to …

This is an easy recommendation, but calculate your own price-to-value ratio as it only took 6 hours to finish, and I’m not going back for a 2nd playthrough. It’s a first-person exploration game, with the main gameplay being super human traversal. There’s a little combat, but it’s very simple: just aim and shoot. On the other hand, traversal is wildly fun: you’ve got super human speed, you can jump hundreds of feet …

Valley is a first-person 3d platformer and parkour game. There's a little shooting later on, not really difficult, but that's not the focus of the game. Great running and jumping. Can be exhilirating when you go at full speed and jump high and far. Beautiful in the outside areas. Acceptable but too dark in the inside areas. Decent level design overall but with lusterless lighting. Would have benefitted from ray …

The game was criticized for technical issues, length, and pacing, but heavily praised for its exhilarating gameplay and interesting world. User reviews on Steam are "Very Positive", on Metacritic they vary between each platform (all of the user review averages are in the range between 7 and 8). It also fixes the bomb crash, disappearing chickens, and more. There will be further patches on console to fix additional bugs and get it in sync with where PC is at.

But they didn't know that because they were idiots too who shouldn't have been reporting on things they didn't understand.

From the technological Olympus of Silicon Valley to the urban canyons of Wall Street, a narrow club of vastly wealthy plutocrats sits on a ballooning share of the nation’s resources. One percent of Americans at the apex of the economy are hoarding over 31% of the nation’s total wealth, a cool $55tn in net worth. Getting them to share with the rest of society, to fund redistribution or pay for public goods, is proving pretty…

Barone announced Haunted Chocolatier back in 2021, but amid ongoing work on his phenomenally successful Stardew Valley, progress on the follow-up has been slow going. Indeed, in June, Barone admitted to feeling somewhat embarrassed to have to keep on saying he was still working away on the game. “Feels kinda dumb posting this same thing over and over, but that’s the reality,” he said at the time. That’s not a rounding error: that’s an entire business empire missing from the spreadsheet. Now apparently even spending time with your kids is inefficient. The endgame is becoming obvious: humans do the work, AI gets the attention, and Silicon Valley collects the subscription fees. Apparently being a parent is just another productivity bottleneck.
