neutral · AI labelView post →fff god dammit, help, there was an INCREDIBLE student animation film that got released recently, painterly, kinda Yoshitaka Amano/Vampire Hunter D in expression, I cannot for the life of me remember the title
neutral · AI labelView post →HIDIVE and Shudder announced they will premiere the 40th anniversary re-release of Vampire Hunter D to U.S. and Canadian theaters April 9, 10 & 13 The film will also make its streaming debut on both platforms later this year. #Anime #AnimeNews #VampireInitialD
neutral · AI labelView post →Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (2000). Main character design by Yoshitaka Amano and movie adaptation by Yutaka Minowa.
neutral · AI labelView post →I like how so many of the quotes are commenting about The Dark Tower, and meanwhile the last panel is 100% proof Branson has watched the 80s Vampire Hunter D movie.
neutral · AI labelView post →Time to continue my mission of encouraging everyone to enjoy the works of Yoshiaki Kawajiri on yet another social media platform. I humbly ask you once again, shed any notion of what you think "anime" is and simply engage with Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust as a movie. The experience is life changing!

positive · AI labelView post →I saw Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (2000) at a local theatre. Stunning 100 min with full of the great artwork, composition and action. It seems the film was released in the US first, so it had only English dub when it came to Japan 25 years ago.
positive · AI labelView post →Earlier a mutual asked me if Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust holds up. Let me be explicitly clear. Vampire Hunter D has NEVER. EEEEEVER. BEEN SURPASSED AS AN ANIME FILM SINCE IT'S RELEASE. It has not happened. It's an incredible anime film. It looks miles beyond everything else.
positive · AI labelView post →GKIDS has licensed the Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust anime film and the live-action 5 Centimeters per Second film, and will screen both in North American theaters.
neutral · AI labelView post →GKIDS has picked up North American rights to Yoshiaki Kawajiri’s gothic anime classic 'Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust.' The film will return to theaters with an HD master in 2027, with subtitled screenings of its Japanese-language version coming this fall. www.cartoonbrew.com/anime/gkids-...
neutral · AI labelView post →Angel's Egg - Directed by Mamoru Oshii ( of Ghost in the Shell 1996 fame) and designed by Yoshitaka Amano ( Final Fantasy, and Vampire Hunter D) Aside from its brilliant visuals. And it's unabashed weirdness. What I love about this movie is the discussions about it. Talking with -anyone- 🧵
neutral · AI labelView post →I wrote about VAMPIRE HUNTER D for my horror column. It's basically the film equivalent of a deafening power chord. It fucking rules. www.patreon.com/posts/130796...
positive · AI labelView post →Look, self-delusion and an attachment to an idealized past is implied here. So: Live action Chainsaw Man adaptation directed by Paul Verhoeven and another Vampire Hunter D movie from Yoshiaki Kawajiri as a mandatory double feature with nationwide release.
neutral · AI labelView post →Watching Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust and I love this movie I love how it raises so many world building questions and answers none of them. You’re just along for the ride.
positive · AI labelView post →I love going through Takeshi Koike’s IMDb because you’ll see that did key animation on both Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust and Blood The Last Vampire but also did key for the Card Captor Sakura movie and the op to DNA2. Dude was everywhere. youtu.be/-CpXyiHekb8?...
neutral · AI labelView post →Halloween Movie Nights #2: Vampire Hunter D - Bloodlust God, I love this movie. Everything is exquisite from start to finish. If you need some teenagerisms: "Oh, so this looks good-good." "Everything is dialed up to 110%" and "The creator was cooking with this one."
positive · AI labelView post →Until now, the first and last time I saw Vampire Hunter D was when I was like 10 and Sci-Fi Channel was running the movie in the early 90s. I’m sure it had no effect on me whatsoever. 🐍
neutral · AI labelView post →corrected a 20-year error (i even bought the movie ticket and missed the movie back in the day) and saw Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust. Amazing, not to be missed, good lord. Every Kawajiri film is a treasure.
positive · AI labelView post →The dark fantasy adventure anime film ‘Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust’ slashed its way into cinemas in Hong Kong twenty-five years ago this week 🧛🏻♀️ 🩸 ☠️ #OTD "𝚃𝚊𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚘𝚗 𝚊 𝚟𝚊𝚖𝚙𝚒𝚛𝚎 𝚊𝚝 𝚗𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝 𝚒𝚜 𝚊 𝚖𝚒𝚜𝚜𝚒𝚘𝚗 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚖𝚘𝚛𝚘𝚗𝚜 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚏𝚘𝚘𝚕𝚜. 𝚆𝚑𝚒𝚌𝚑 𝚊𝚛𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞?"
neutral · AI labelView post →Rewatched the Vampire Hunter D movie from 2000. I enjoyed it way more than I did the first time. Originally I thought it was kind of random, but I now realize its events come together really well. Love the way Kawajiri projects look and this is it with insane production values.
positive · AI labelView post →✨Meyer Link & Charlotte✨ I rewatched Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust recently, and was inspired to paint a portrait of this loving couple. The whole movie is beautiful, but these two really are the heart of it ❤️ #vampirehunterd #fanart #gothicromance #noai
neutral · AI labelView post →#Rewatched Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (2000) - I so rarely watch a film that improves on a book, this one blows the source material away. Kawajiri completely rejiggers the third act, leans heavily into the gothic romance while tamping down the sleaze. Gorgeous print on the big screen. #filmsky
positive · AI labelView post →I just had the realization that I'm going to have to cover the shitstorm that was the fan reaction to Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust being released "dub only," when the film was originally recorded in English and a JP dub didn't hit until mid-2002.
neutral · AI labelView post →I’m back and forth on whether this or Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust is Kawajiri’s masterpiece, I think Bloodlust is technically a better movie and it’s beautiful, but Ninja Scroll may be the MOST movie a human can physically make with the current limitations of science
positive · AI labelView post →i got some uhh. halloween spooky anime recs. check out uh Pet Shop Of Horrors Mononoke the movie Lily C.A.T. both Vampire Hunter D movies Yamishibai The Curse Of Kazuo Umezu man, i really wish the Junji Ito adaptations were any good
neutral · AI labelView post →Not sure how I feel about this being made by a YTer I've never heard of (but then again, I'm old lol). I've always thought Bloodborne could use a Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust style anime film, but sadly I dunno if any current studio could pull off something like that & make it look REAL GOOD.
neutral · AI labelView post →Vampire Hunter D (1985)- The truth is that Bloodlust is really the perfect version of a D story, and really the first movie is a somewhat messy rendition of the first novel, but all that said, the original D film is just a pleasant time. Its got a cool atmosphere and it's fun to just chill with.
positive · AI labelView post →watching VAMPIRE HUNTER D for the first time tonight and the music already has me in a chokehold. i’m gonna love this aren’t i?
positive · AI labelView post →I like the first Vampire Hunter D movie best the same reason I like the first Evil Dead best. While not as polished as its subsequent iterations, the rough quality heightens the grotesqueries.
positive · AI labelView post →Shit on 3D anime all you want, but I'd gladly take a Vampire Hunter D film or series made in this style and scone and with this somber direction

neutral · AI labelView post →So my friends and I went to go see Vampire Hunter D Remastered in the theatres. But, once it started playing, we all belatedly realized that we mistook this movie for Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, which is a VERY different movie 🙏😭 Anyways, it was a wild movie in the true 80s anime bs kind of way

positive · AI labelView post →36. Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (2000 Film) DAMN, This film is straight up gorgeous! Absolutely an example of how much animation can elevate a story. Very niche, artistic, and D's got such AURA to him that he amazes me in almost every scene. Highly recommend!

positive · AI labelView post →Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust- Here at last is the definitive Vampire Hunter D. Start to finish a completely perfect movie with everything you could possibly want in a D story, not to mention the fact that it's absolutely gorgeous. If you only watch or read one Vampire Hunter D story, make it this.
positive · AI labelView post →Vampire Hunter D, Bloodlust Stunningly beautiful animated movie, as well as being a great vampire film. Disney/Ghibli could never.
