The graphics and gameplay haven't aged particularly well, but warts and all this is one of my favourite games of all time. The story is something all Vampire fans, or fans of vampire media in general, should play at least once. This game also happened to be my introduction to the World of Darkness, which has given me countless hours of enjoyment ever since in video games and at tables.

My character was a vampire in Trondheim, who moved to York and then New Orleans and NYC. I learned so many things, like the Harrying of the North, Staple City laws, early NYC music halls, and more. Without mods, VTMR is ugly and has a tendency to break all the damn time if you don't fix it manually, but if you put the effort in it's a great game. I made a subreddit to help others with the problems of the game. Just go to r/vtmb and ask for help, or read the posts. Fixing it should require no more than thirty minutes of your time.
