What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 159 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Mixed (461 of 664 positive).
Players find the game a solid, fun RTS with simple mechanics and nostalgic value. [1][2][3] A few players criticize the slow pace, dated graphics, and DRM issues. [4][5][6]

Many people played this game but no one admit it, simply because it's bad. Typical war strategy where you command your troops to obliterate everyone. Gameplay is not very complex and consists of using some special actions and advancing further into the battle zone. You can put camouflage on tanks or turn on lights at night missions or simply call for resupply. You can order your troops to exit vehicles and create …

This game oddly enough, is better than it's successor World War III: Black Gold. Players can choose from 3 modes, although multiplayer is dead so there's only 2 you can really play between Single-player and offline mode. Being able to pick one of the 3 different teams is nice, and it surprisingly includes over 10 different infantry squads and tanks on each team. So there's a lot of variety, plus with over 40 …

“World War II᎓ Panzer Claws” is a real-time strategy game, with simple mechanics that are next to humorous and dumb if you are engaged in topics regarding war strategy. The game is very simple, with easy mechanics, beautiful scenery and simple graphics — in my honest opinion, they aren’t ugly, considering when it was first released. You can play both in solo mode and JxJ mode, which doubles the fun. I have nothing …

I really liked this title for the short time I did play it! This feels like Army Men Sarge's Heroes but with tanks! For only $5 this is a serious must play for any Tank RTS fan!

This game is amazing, even after a decade of existance. While not very appealing visually, the gameplay is fun and solid. The tanks operate off of an armor basis. As in all but the lightest vehicles cannot be harmed by small arms. Tanks with lighter armor will suffer much more damage from tank shells than a tank with heavy armor. The amount of units surprised me, as there are almost a dozen different infantry …
Summarised from 34 of the 220 public posts collected about this game; every point cites the posts behind it ([n] opens the post) and the split is counted from the posts’ own ratings. Updated Oct 13, 2026. How summaries are made
84% of the 159 Steam reviewers we collected recommend World War II: Panzer Claws. The complaint that keeps coming up: slow pace and dated graphics may deter some players. Deal-breaker or nitpick?

Why not the Young Indy Chronicles (young adult Indy, not kid Indy, although why not flashbacks)? Or during World War II... This game was a pleasant surprise. Especially all the ways to knock out fascists.

Science is replaced by religious indoctrination. Clarity of purpose is replaced by corporate profits and no more brown people. This is how American exceptionalism ends.

neutral · AI labelView post →Population decline is fine. It’s the population boom driven by World War II panic that was the oddity instead. In a matter of time, we might return to population levels from the 17th century, and if we do, then so what? A single individual will become all the more valuable, similar to how European nations valued labour more after the Black Death occurred. History likes to repeat itself, even if not necessarily by events like the plague.
