Don't let the negative reviews deter you from buying the game. I played this game in May 2023 after the Jan patch which fixed all the launch issues this game had with audio and sync and glitches. I feel now this is the definitive way to play XIII as the original one, although has its charm, is a bit of a chore to get to work properly (downgrading to gog version, widescreen fixes and all). I really liked this, except for the Spads Base Sabotage mission. It kept failing after the meeting - need to hide bodies well BEFORE the meeting. Devs need to add a checkpoint right after the meeting ends. The graphics remind me of Borderlands games, which are watercolor-type rendering, 3-D, FPS games. I played the original ~20 years ago and this is quite nostalgic for me. $4 is a steal for this! I recommend it.

Folks I can confirm this game is now totally playable, good quality and very enjoyable. You can safely buy this now. I had the initial release and it was terrible, but they have fixed everything.
