Coming of age as a part of the first generation born free, WWII stripped me of my family, home, and future. Now I'm left with only one choice: to get my revenge and independence, or die trying. The odds are against us: will our tactics, stealth and teamwork be enough? From the Steam store page

What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 187 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Mostly Positive (446 of 610 positive).
Players praise the game's gritty WWII story and setting, but many find it extremely difficult. [1][2][3] Some reviewers compare it favorably to classic Commandos games, while others criticize bugs and design flaws. [4][5][6] The game is seen as a worthy sequel to War Mongrels, though opinions vary on its polish and fun factor. [7][8][9]

I cannot recommend buying this as long as there are game breaking bugs. In Chapter V there is a group of wounded soldiers that you need to escort to a sewer and one is always missing. This is known to the devs dating back to Oct. 2024 and still no fix available. You just get stuck in Chapter V with no way to continue. Maybe they want to make us see that war is ultimately futile ;-) .... fix this please!!

Feels like "no fun allowed" after War Mongrels. It's like the devs got mad at you for you not playing it the way they wanted, and force you to play the game like a puzzle game. Instead of improvising solutions on the fly, it's all trial and error until you find the right thing.

Recommended for story. Unlike the masterpiece Warmongrels, this game is really badly designed and it is EXTREMELY difficult beyond reasonable fashion. The knife throw has more alert radius range than a grenade... it is not even a joke. Even on easiest difficulty this game is impossible to play without frustration due to the unreasonable hardcore level of the design. You get to combat you immediately die by a grenade …

I initially rated WAR MONGRELS as 'Not Recommended' due to its bugs. However, after 63 days, I’m giving it 5 stars. The game has improved significantly, with its story and strong anti-war theme standing out. 63days feels like a sister game to WAR MONGRELS, but with much better polish. Plus, the price makes it a great deal. To Destructive Creations: with Mimimi closed, thank you for continuing to develop these rare …

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There WAY too many STUPID things about this game. 1. No mater the arrangement of characters, only ONE of them can move bodies?!?!? 2. A character than can throw, but not stab with a knife?!?!? 3. Knife throw causes enough noise to alert bad guys WAY far away and on the opposite die f a wall? 4. Character shoots, makes a clean getaway and the enemy ruins DIRECTLY to his hiding spot?!?!? 5. Only ONE character is capable of whispering, "Hey, c'mere." SERIOUSLY?!?!?!? 6. Character dressed as the…

Is this game a masterpiece? No, but it is a decent real-time tactics game more than worth playing if you enjoy the genre. We guide 2-3 Polish partisans in the fight against the German occupiers. It takes place in Warsaw in 1944. Warsaw is still occupied by the hated Nazis, but the Germans are actually already in retreat against the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →63 days is very poorly and rushed game. Im not sure who designed the levels for this game but it seems they never played good RTS stealth games where every mili second is crucial and each level has to be designed witch care and precision. Not only that but you have to provide any tools and routes that you can use for your advantage no matter how overwhelming the situation is. My gripe and frustration with the game is that to many soldiers are put on the spot where are no slice of fracture for…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great potential. I was able to have some fun, but I eventually gave up. Too many bugs and limitations to keep an enjoyable experience. - No pause. I don't know why this kind of games never provide a pause option for a chill gameplay. - I have to quick load 10~20 times trying to make my characters do what I intended. - F1 and F2 to change characters is not ergonomic. Why not "tab" or any one-key to change between heroes? - You never actually know where your characters goes if you click too…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Alright. 63 Days is a gritty real time tactics game in the vein of something like Last Train Home, but this story focuses on two Polish brothers dealing the German occupation of Poland during WWII. It starts by describing how the Nazis rounded up all the Jewish citizens first, and then bit by bit, most of the people they knew disappeared. So, as is natural under such circumstances, the brothers joined the Polish resistance and embarked upon a campaign to do as much damage to the occupiers as…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My personal experience: - All commandos games - All desperados games - Shadow Tactics - Shadow Gambit - War mongrels - Sumerian Six - Partisans 1941 And this game is far too hard from the start. I actually didn't enjoy it, although it's quite the same gameplay as war mongrels. It also doesn't differ much from war mongrels, even though there were several optimizations possible. Sad really... this game could be so much better. A button to speed up the time would've made this game endlessly…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Could be better but still a very good real time tactics game. One of the hardest that I have played actually. It's a small game though. Only 6 levels/missions in the game, but they can be quite lengthy. If you have played War Mongrels from the same dev, you would like this one as well.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You have to play how the devs want you to play, unlike War Mongrels. The game goes out of sync regularly when playing co-op. The enemies are bullet sponges, and shot registers are rubbish Weapons are almost useless in this compared to War Mongrels. If you want variety of geography, freedom of play style in a mission, and less repetition, buy War Mongrels. Don't waste your time here.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Brings back the best memories of Commandos: Behind the Enemy Lines, but has a lot of improvements. The maps are really big and you can try a lot of approaches to complete the tasks. I am not a fan of adding super powers or magic to WW2 theme, so 63 Days is a great treat for me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not satisfied at all to be honest. big fan of these type of games and cant wait for another commandos game. However this one has to be the weakest ever out of everything similar. sure the graphics are awesome. Remember when you had each character with a set of skills that the oher doesnt have? here the variaty is very weak. and enemy placement is made in a way that it is more a frustrating effort rather than a fun tactical game. So dissapointed
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite a fun Commandos clone. Visuals are good, sounds are acceptable. The missions are long and varied but I think the story failed to show the atrocities of the WW2. The game could be a bit longer so we could get to know the characters better. Coop is riddled with bugs including decync, enemies teleporting, scripts not launching correctly. It wasn't bad enough for us to stop playing entirely but it forced us to reload quite a few times. All in all an enjoyable albeit flawed experience.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! It has game breaking bugs, the Support e-mail is just for show and when you encounter a bug that prevents you from progressing any further, you already played more than two hours, so you won't get a refund. I am very disappointed because I enjoyed War Mongrels from this developer, but with 63 Days I had my worst experience with a game on Steam. Again, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was waiting for 63 Days because I enjoyed War Mongrels and I love genre of "Commandos-Like" games. Knowing my skill I enter to 63 Days straight on HARD. And man. This game is TOUGH. Some places have extreme tight conditions of how you have to get through, mostly you have to really think of what to do and which tools to use. This game has absolutely no mercy on player whatsoever. Only 6 missions but each one is very long, multiple phases and challenging. On 1st mission alone I spend 3h. And I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really love these type of games, having played Commandos years ago and more recently, Desperados 3. I am up to Mission 5 and really enjoying 63 days.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another stealth strategy from Destructive Creations (developers of War Mongrels). Once again set in WW2, standing out for its somewhat "eastern" perspective - full of despair, horror, and death. With these two games, all the Mimimi games - R.I.P. :'( - Sumerian Six and Commandos: Origins coming soon, these are truly golden years of the genre. Thanks to the devs. Highly recommended.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game isn't worth it for 3 reasons: 1. Heavy retcon of Polish resistance vs the Nazis vs their actual collaboration with them. 2. The gameplay is very basic. They spent some time on it, but not more than they had to. There's just no flow, no coordination, each character's cooperation with the others is non-existent, and there's really only 1 way to solve each problem. 3. The PC controls are just bad, I mean F1/F2 to choose characters, and the number keys to pick action, it just keep…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you enjoyed "War Mongrels" (i did) this is a worthy sequel for you. Same game mechanics and new story line and characters. Soundscape, action and gameplay all good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I found it more restrictive compared to other Stealth RTT games like the Mimimi ones. In the sense that there's often only one way of completing certain parts. It also doesn't have any achievements after each level.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is not a game like Parisans 1941. It has no natural flow and doesn't allow for individual player decisions on how to tackle every situation. Every aspect of its stealth gameplay is heavily scripted like a puzzle. If you try to deviate from the optimal sequence of actions that the developers have put in place, you will fail again and again. Prepare yourself for countless quicksave-quickload commands before and after every action you take. The game doesn't let you enjoy it. It's wearisome,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is so bad lol. -level designer is braindead, it is not interested to pixel hunt for an opportunity to progress, you always feel like you are doing something wrong -half a year since release, it is still tonn of bugs in coop, invisible walls, can't move in fight mode, desinc in enemies position for host and client -AI is incredibly stupid, they are so inconsistent, it makes you mad sometimes pros: -maps themselves look great, characters and spells are good and interesting, but they…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Reminds me of the old commandos if you love those games than this and war mongrels are definitely worth playing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →63 Days is a solid real time tactics game that explores lesser known part of World War II, which is German occupation of Poland and the Polish uprising. It doesn't shy away from showing you the cruelty and ruthlessness of the occupants, something many WWII games mostly ignore, only to focus on the 'epic' battles that glorify the conflict and show only the point of view of the usual suspects: Great Britain, United States and Soviet Union. Gameplay wise its very similiar to Destructive Creations…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Summary: Long story short, yes I would recommend this game. It's one of the hardest RTT games available, telling a very gritty story set in WW2, and played using similar mechanics to other RTT games. Locations/Maps: The maps are great visually, very gloomy and grim, but nothing wrong with that. Lots of nice details, I like how they continually expand and become much larger. Chapter 6 was the most enjoyable of the lot, followed by 5, and then 4. I liked the use of environmental sounds to mask…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Commandos, Shadow Tactics, Desperados 3, Shadow Gambit, Partisans 1941, Sumerian Six, War Mongrels - all these stealth RTS games are better than this one. 63 Days is still fun to play, but feels kinda uninspired and half baked. Too short with almost no environmental variety through levels and with very reduced amount of character's abilities (which leaves player with less creative solutions to outsmart the enemy quietly). It seems like buying this game was an act of desperation, because I like…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Compared to War Mongrels, this is half baked total crap. The controls are just clunky and the game itself is buggy as hell.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Feels too hard even on normal level. In the very first mission got into a stalemate where I don't see any way out. Tried to break my way through with guns blazing, but unfortunately I have a bunch of guerilla ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ aligned along the wall, they didn't bring any weapons to the mission, so now I have to babysit them and think about not pointing fascists to their location. No stealth, no combat. I guess Hitler just wins this one then. Controls are clunky. Planning mode only allows to execute all…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →1) Extremely rigid gameplay, more than war mangrels (the most irritating point) 2) Bugs - eg : Chapter 2 after throwing knife cannot retrieve back because body 'on' the knife, the character cannot carry body 3) Enemies view cone ridiculously far. Can see past 3 trucks at night? Regret buy
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →puhh... this is a tough one. I really wanted to like this, in spite of all the negative reviews. I have played though “war mongrels” on “hard” difficulty, and I am currently playing on “hard”. This game is just tedious. You just are so limited in your approaches, that it is often easer to cheese the AI. When a RTSG is good, there is a certain flow that can be achieved – You develop YOUR play style. I think they really messed up in the first levels. You have one character that can silently…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've finished and enjoyed both War Mongrels and Partizans 1941, which are in the same genre. 63 Days was, for me, the best of the three. It feels more mature, if less varied, than WM. The tone is darker, the missions are fewer but much longer and more detailed. It has some bugs and glitches, but nothing too bad. If like me you have this specific itch - stealth WW2 RTS - it will definitely scratch it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you played and enjoyed Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines back in the late 90s, I can tell you two things: a) You probably have back problems, your knees have started to act up, and your prostate is sounding the alarm. b) You’ll also love 63 Days. Created by the small studio Destructive Creations, the game is AMAZING. I often write with moderate optimism about the games I’m asked to test, but for the first time, I’m happily sticking around to play after completing the agreed-upon review of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately it is bugged in fifth mission, makes you unable to finish it, therefore cannot even play the last mission. The game itself is fine, but a bug like this is inexcusable, there is rather lengthy thread in discussions going back from 2024, and still was not fixed to this day. Basically an NPC gets stuck and you cannot complete the objective. Cannot recommend in this state.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was the most frustrating experience of my life. I thought I was just bad at the game, but no. Several times the enemies would get bugged and their view cones would be stuck looking one way, but their detection ability would still be able to detect me effectively making it impossible to determine where I could actually go without being seen. I really wanted to like this game. I loved War Mongrels, but this? This was utter garbage.

neutral · AI labelView post →Warmongrels was better in every way so far, story starts weak, tone isnt as gritty, and the direct control mechanic has been nerfed which was one of the most fun aspects that made the first one unique. Now its better to cheese tactical pause to shoot people rather than ever use direct control. Still going to try and plow through it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →EDIT: My father just also confirmed it was optional. so Thats great. Thanks for the developer for confirmation. Besides this game totally rocks!!! I bought this for my father, as he played the first one, and all commandos/desperados series... I'm highly frustrated when I see timer added to missions in these kinds of games!!!!! He likes to play it slowly and to take his time, as these games should be played, it is generally not a speed running game... but here it is second level with 20minute…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not worth the money, lots of bugs, and lots of issues that has wasted my time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Completing the missions is WAYYYY too linear and tedious. Like most people I don't remember War Mongrels being this way. Honestly bit too much of a painful experience.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To be honest, I am extremely conflicted and was on the verge of leaving a negative review multiple times. However, as a long-time fan of the Real-Time Tactics (RTT) genre, I simply cannot ignore the world-class art direction and atmosphere. I am giving this a "Reluctant Thumbs Up" purely out of support for the vision. Breathtaking Visuals Marred by Frustrating Design Choices As a fan of the Commandos series since childhood, I must say that the art direction and atmosphere of 63 DAYS are…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →63 days is a decent "Commandos-type" game. However it felt like a short DLC to War Mongrels than anything else. The gameplay is slightly simplified although made more difficult by larger number of enemies. The missions are not as interesting, the characters are not as interesting, the story is more straightforward. The voice acting is good for the genre but, again, somewhat worse than in WM. The mission Day W was borderline frustrating and I resolved to a non-sneaky path by shooting everyone…

neutral · AI labelView post →Even on easy, it's still too difficult to the point of unfun. Maps are large so it's a plus but make it fun to play. More interactables, skills, items. Make it fun! Story is not bad but I bought it for a buck. For 20 plus bucks, not worth it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm really not sure how to rate this. On one side it has the elements of what you expect from a game like this: * Multiple characters with different skills * Large levels * Multiple enemies, some are easy to trick some others are not * Alternative ways to infiltrate depending on the character On the other side, they learned almost nothing from their last game. * Alternative ways to infiltrate don't offer a additional way, but rather the only way to move forward * Character skills don't…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a good tactical+stealth game, sometimes quite frustrating and hard, but it's playable and gives a lot of fun. You can feel like a real partisan who doesn't stand a chance in open combat. Enemy must be eliminated quietly or super fast. If you are facing a patrol of germans bunched up all together you have to go quietly behind them and kill them all with few mp-40 bursts so they won't have a chance to even react. I highly recommend this game to all WW2 fans, especially if you're tired of…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has a great gameplay. But I think it has a problem with "Ambient Occlusion" in video setting that make GPU run 99%. Hope your team will fix it soon
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To be fair, this is the worst-controlled RTS game I’ve ever played. I have no idea what the designers were thinking when they assigned character selection to F1, F2, and F3, while mapping character actions and abilities to 1, 2, and 3. This counterintuitive setup goes against common conventions and muscle memory, making the gameplay experience a complete mess. Considering that 63 Days is a sequel to War Mongrels, I expected it to at least retain or improve upon the control scheme of its…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR: only buy this if you really-really like RTT games, already played every other title in the genre and need something new. Otherwise there are much better RTT games out there (not too many, sadly). A step back compared to War Mongrels and WM was already one of the weaker RTT games. I liked that the characters are average every day people and that the setting is a less known conflict in WW2. Sadly, the characters have very few abilities and 1) none of them are very interesting and 2) it's…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Y'know why this game is called 63 days? Coz it takes 63 days away from you when you play game. Bugs galore, combat desync, random teleportation happen, IF you don't save scum good luck. 5.8 hours currently and only on mission 2. Would never recommend EVER.
