Honestly not sure about the positive rating on this, it feels extremely overrated. Yes, it is a very simple game, and somewhat addicting, satisfying, and fun to play, for a bit. But it also is very unpolished, clunky, too simple, and way too short. It gets quite boring about half-way through as there is just... nothing going on and you easily max out your upgrades, but still have to dig more. There is nothing …

A game about digging a hole is exactly what it sounds like. You buy a house. And instead of doing anything sensible, you start digging a hole in the garden. Very deep even. And whats fascinating is how quickly the game convinces you that this is an absolutely understandable life decision.

AGADAH is a very simple game. you just... dig a hole. What else should you need in your life ? People complain about it lacking depth (lol) and complexity, but honestly... It's a pretty cheap game, which, in my opinion, doesn't nesserarly need to be more complicated than it is. You want to have depth and stuff ? I don't know, go play expedition 33 or dark souls or something

Reviews on Steam and Youtube tricked me into thinking this is a simulator game, something like Powerwash, or the mining aspect of Minecraft. It is not. The whole game consists of a short level that you will beat in an hour or two. And there's surprisingly NOTHING else to it, aside of several achievements that will take about 30 minutes more. This is honestly surprising, as even the most minimalistic simulation games that I've tried (e.g., Tiny Bookshop or VA-11 Hall-A Bartender) offer sooo much…

Dont listen to the ones calling it short, its as long as you make it be.. (: My goal was not the bottom, uh uh. My goal was to empty that pit from every little grain of dirt. My goal was to empty this hole so intensely, even my mother would be proud. You dont understand. Every bit of sand and dirt needs to be gone, dont just dig your whole to the ground and call it a day. Take your shovel and get working - we are on a wild ride to emptyness. I would love to experience this game…

After 6 hours of paying this game, I went into my backyard and started to dig for treasure... I got about a foot deep before my wife said if I didn't stop I would be sleeping in the hole I dug...... 10/10 recommend. I also think I hit a water line, not sure.

I bought this, carefully dug a big hole in a bit over an hour and finished the game. Then I replayed it, dug a hole straight down, got a handful of achievements and uninstalled it, all for about half a movie ticket's price. If you're back from lunch and don't want to get immediately back to work, couldn't recommend it more. If the creator decides to make a dlc or some extra content deeper down, I'll come back for a bigger hole.

I AM A DWARF AND I'M DIGGING A HOOOOOOLE. Ahem. Well, I indeed had that song living rent-free in my mind the (w)hole time. (get it ? GET IT ?) I had a good time playing, collecting the material, discovering what was at the bottom of the pit (that noise was scary AF), and the twist (i'll say no more !). It's simple, it's fun, as advertised. I then wanted to embark on a mission to empty the pit because i'm autistic and why not. I sadly had to give up because of motion sickness. The…

I really wanted to enjoy this game because, at its core, it has the foundation of something genuinely addictive. The asking price is only around €5, so I wasn't expecting a massive open-world adventure, dozens of mechanics, or hundreds of hours of content. I went into it with reasonable expectations, fully aware that it's a small indie title. Even with those expectations in mind, though, I don't think the current experience justifies the price. It's not because the game is fundamentally bad—in…

I bought this game to dig a hole, not to carefully stealth my way through the final areas. There's a game I love from a long time ago called Motherlode. Great old game. All about digging and mining and collecting ores- right up until the end of the game, where you gotta blow up satan. It's an intense and often delightful experience, where you blast away at the final boss with high explosives intended for mining while doing your best to dodge around, using your full kit you've built up as best…

I like the game conceptually, but it's far too short, & without getting into spoilers, the ending is an infuriating slog. Another issue is that money becomes functionally useless once you've gotten the upgrades, which barely takes any time. I wanted to like this game, but it wasn't doing it for me. Good way to waste an hour, but that's about it.

It could have been a tolerable, mindless time-killer, but the game lacks more interesting things to discover. And the ending… Well, it disappointed me, at least, and honestly, it would have been better if it hadn’t been there at all—or, alternatively, if the final location had served as a gateway to another layer to explore.

The game is fun but the ending is terrible and completely ruins the rest of the game. There's not enough progression with upgrades. I had all of the upgrades unlocked about a third of the way into the hole, and after maxing everything out, the game just became tedious, and I had tens of thousands of dollars but nothing to spend them on. The "teleporter" that gets you back up to the top is single-use only, which is ridiculous for an item you have to dig up 2 keys to get. Also, despite doing a…

A perfect little time waster that can satisfy every man's inherent desire to dig a hole, a big hole, a giant hole! It is mechanically dirt simple (heh, get it? DIRT simple XD) and works on incremental upgrades to complete the same tasks increasingly more efficient. You could finish it in a single sitting or go for 100% completion in about 8 to 10 hours. If you like this kind of quick and simple games it is worth picking up on a discount.

It's a game about digging a hole and eventually falling into what you think is another cave and then getting eaten by a massive mole because you forgot you have a sprint button, causing you to lose all that diamond you wanted to spend on the jetpack upgrade because with the one you have right now, you can barely reach the surface. There also is social criticism on the nature of capitalism. 10/10 would dig again

Thankfully, this game only took me an hour to complete, so I ended up finishing it pretty quickly compared to others. Great price for a few hours of fun. Cons: The ending of the game is very not-cozy and actually kind of stressed me out. There was a part of the game you could click to get a ton of coins instantly which kind of ruined the game (though I guess you didn’t have to do it). Really simple, not much to it other…

Fun, simple and relaxing little game about.. literally digging a hole! Dig, find rocks, sell them, upgrade your shovel, dig deeper! Feels like an old web flash game, yet in better graphics and physics. You have to complete the game 2 times, and one time has to be under 30 minutes (for some this could be 3rd time), to get all achievements. Time to 100%: ~6 hours.

The game functions perfectly fine, and its very enjoyable in terms of the actual digging. However, it is very short, and while this isn't a bad thing it's just very hard to recommend. really fun game, but wish it could have more content. although, even if it was short, i still had a good time. also, i've played a roblox knock off that was honestly better than this game lol

If you're the sort of person that could get possessed mining block after block of obsidian then this is a pretty fun, short, simple experience. Reminds me of games like SteamWorld Dig 1 and anything where you just dig endlessly. The upgraded drill felt really nice to use. I was just vacuuming up dirt everywhere, tidying my hole a lot of the time ..and enjoying it! Then you jetpack back up to sell resources and recharge your fuel. Occasionally you have enough money to upgrade your tools…

I really enjoy the game Cave Digger and was looking for something similar. The game was fun and scratched that itch but I felt it was a little too short and simple. I feel like the developer has something here that they can expand on and make it very unique and special. Worth the playthrough for me.

For $5 I feel conflicted about A Game About Digging A Hole. On one hand, it's a novel idea with a decent execution; while on the other, it is a very short, chill game with not that much else to it. With the ladder making it feel lackluster and easy to move on from after completion. Which makes this one of those games I would love to have a "mixed" option to choose from while reviewing. However, since it was a minor step above average for me, I am still going to recommend it. I think it is…

Given this is the game that kicked off the whole "hole digging" craze of games, I kinda expected more from it. Having played a couple games that did do more with the concept this made this feel kind of disappointing. What I did want to compliment it on is how fluid digging actually feels, especially once you get the drill, but the compliments kinda end there. The game doesn't have a lot going on, you'll likely max your gear before you're even halfway down and the unlock with keys is pointless…
