But you have to keep an eye on the recommended requirements, they are high for a game with relatively simple graphics. The only problem I have found is that the controls are not perfect. The main control is still the joystick, with the mouse+keyboard being a bit of an improvisation. For those who are used…

positive · AI labelView post →Finally a new entry in the series coming to PC, and overall it's my favorite. I already put over 100 hours into the Switch version, but here I am sitting at almost 90 hours on Steam, just over a week after release. It's fundamentally an evolution of A-Train PC Classic that is better in most ways. What is A-Train? For those not already familiar, A-Train is a series all about Transport Management and Urban Development. It sits somewhere inbetween Transport Tycoon, Industry Giant and city…

This game: I hope you like earnings reports, charts, taxes, stock trading, speculative land purchasing, trade contracts, employee morale, company reputation, property deterioration, subsidiary purchasing, and city management elements to go with your trains. Me: *plays for many hours straight, until 4 am on a weekday* Oops. Funny anecdotes aside, I'm seriously liking this game way more…

neutral · AI labelView post →Like others I have played this originally on Switch. I was unsure if I was going to get the PC version but my love of the franchise got the better of me. The graphics have had an upgrade from the switch version and are activated within the options menu, like the Switch version all the features are introduced to you through the two tutorials I strongly suggest playing through those first before you move on to other scenarios or creating your own. The tutorials do hold your hand quite a bit but…

neutral · AI labelView post →GAMEPLAY BASICS First and foremost, this game is a heavily Japanese-centric transportation tycoon. The forte of the game is its economy management. The game provides you with extensive financial numbers, and allows you to buy stocks and subsidiaries to supplant your transportation-related income. Subsidiaries are simply commercial, residential, industrial and recreational establishments the player can either build or buy to generate income. Players also have the option to buy and sell land…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was a real fan of the first 2 A-Trains some 20 years ago. But every new version they come up with gets worse and worse. This Tourism one is the worst. First off, the camera is too difficult and cumbersome to move around. They have 2 different camera views. One view helps you see more of the map, but you are limited as to what you can do. The other view that allows you to do things is too narrow. It was built for a controller, not a computer and mouse, which is what I have. Way too…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Is a fun port but what the game needs is a signal system for the trains. I don't know why key part of the game is missing. Will change this if they add or unlock a signal system later on. But you have to use old school departure times and that is a lot of math. That aside it is fun. Never played the earlier versions. But anyhow that is that. I also like how city develop and how you can as play buy property and influence what the city's become.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don’t often review things, but there’s a lot worth saying here. I’d like to qualify this review with the fact I’ve put hundreds of hours into Cities Skylines, OpenTTD, Cities in Motion 1/2, Transport Fever 1/2, Train Fever, Railway Empire, and Transport Tycoon. They don’t really hold a candle to this in a number of different ways. First, though, to address the issues many people have raised in the reviews and other discussion. Price: The price is on the high side. Is it worth it? I’d say…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The 205 series was designed in 1982 as a cheap-to-produce train that could complement the 201 series sets which were considered to be expensive to produce due to the latter's thyristor chopper-controlled traction systems. The first set entered service on the Yamanote Line on 1985, and has remained a staple of the JR fleet network ever since. It was originally built with the low-end resistor-controlled traction systems, as they were cheaper to produce than the typical thyristor…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've played several games of the A-Train Series, so I'm familiar with the game and it's mechanics. But this version is unplayable on PC because the control settings are so awful. I'll stick to A-Train 9 it might not have passengers, but at least very intelligent control settings.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Recommended, on sale, for enthusiasts who want to try something different from OpenTTD/Transport Fever. A little gem in the train tycoon field. The UI and the Timetable systems are a bit hard to get used to, but nothing insurmontable. First thing to do is to head to options and activate all advanced options and fine tune additional ones to your liking. Scenarios are interesting, the cities grow in an interesting manner, and the tycoon side is really developped (balance sheets, public…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm not too knowledgeable about the venerable A-train franchise but I'm happy to say that this entry has nearly everything I look for in a transport tycoon style game. My biggest gripe is that the controls are a little finicky on PC since it's a port of a console game but there are options to make this smoother. As a fan of games like OpenTTD I was thrown a bit when I saw there weren't signalling options but you do quickly get used to time-tabling your trains appropriately. I do wish there was…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I highly recommend this game. It is an urban development simulator focused on a private company developing railroads, resource sales, and building subsidiaries. This game has a decent learning curve where the player needs to figure out what all the inputs are and what they do. Once you learn those inputs, the game provides very deep game play. Fortunately the developer has provided two tutorial levels and lots of supporting documentation. In addition, the difficulty level ramps appropriately.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a mix of train simulator and city building. At first it may appear that this is a train sim title but it's only the backdrop for basically being "JR" in that you are a transportation company but you are really about putting your finger in as many pies as possible to accumulate mass amount of wealth, taking your company on the stock market if you want to. This is a pretty educational game to learn or expand your knowledge of economics. This is game is also pretty cool if you want to…

neutral · AI labelView post →This is a very different type of game if you're comparing it to other city builders like Sim City or Skylines. It's more story objective based and the end goal isn't just to make as much money as possible. There's a visual novel aspect injected into the game. It has a learning curve and requires a bit of time to learn how to play, but it's rewarding when you succeed. I recommend playing on Easy difficulty at first. Pros: The character art and writing is super cute and the story-lines are…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I started A-Train: All Aboard! Tourism as an absolute A-Train beginner. After 100 hours, I can safely say that this is one of the best railroad company and city development simulations that I have ever played. The depth of the simulation, the attention to detail, the wonderfully crafted scenarios, a manageable learning curve, the comforting old-school city builder graphics, the rewarding train rides through the city, the cute little stories that are told throughout the game, the engaging and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun game! Follow the first 2 tutorials cause they really help you understand the mechanics and give you the tools one by one. After that the game opens up in a way that few other games can do. I love how the growth of industries and developing on housing is tied to key transportation, and the historical set period really helps elevate this title to true gem status. If you are into Simcity/builder like games, you can find a really nice feel here, were your actions impact the game in a…

neutral · AI labelView post →The basic idea of a city builder / transport tycoon type game is there - but it does feel like it has a almost vertical learning curve when it comes to figuring out the mechanics of this specific game. The very oddball UI thats evidently designed for a Switch first as well as the very clunky control didn't help either. I also don't particularly like the characters in the game though - I find them a bit distracting but nonethless not a dealbraker. Nonetheless, once you figure out how to work…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's much better than the switch version, the performance is pretty good and there are options for resizing the UI. The mouse controls are generally good, I just wish I had some more keyboard shortcuts. This game is centered around setting up routes from the borders of the map ( neighboring towns ) to various tourist sites in the city. Generally the goals of the scenarios is to put yourself in the black and hit some tourism target. One thing to note, is that there is a variety of ways to make…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →UI is still a little strange and uncomfortable to move around with, but still very playable. The game itself is a city builder gem and challenge. 9/10 at its current port state, maybe will get a UI revamp.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A train has always been fun, bit of a learning curve but once you get past it your good to go. his one has a lot more personality then the previous ones.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →By the way this page is asking for a game called Tokio to get ported which never ended up happening, Tokio has max Artdink energy but they only ported A Train for PS1 instead. The menus in Tokio are pretty head spinning and extremely complicated so not surprised it would be difficult to port.

neutral · AI labelView post →I have been a fan of the A-Train games for a long time, even playing the original Apple release in the US! So many years later, this is my favorite version so far, and while I understand the licensing issues that kept them from wanting to sell the dlc in the US, I'd still say it's my favorite release with its vibrant artstyle, along with actual characters to help breath life into each scenario! It may be a bit clunky at times, but it's well worth sifting through to get to an otherwise wonderful…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played a ton of this on the switch, had to get it on PC for faster load times and fast forwarding, amazing game, no management game has ever felt as in depth to me after playing this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At this point jury is out needs to be refined as far as the controls on a pc.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Basically the Switch version, but packaged in a way that's a lot easier on the eyes. Being able to play this game on max settings without any compromises is a blessing - one that was definitely missing from the Switch version.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DLC for everyone. Just remove licensed trains, and let us buy dlc with everything else and make it cheaper obviously, since trains is half of it) I honestly don't really care about licensed trains, but other stuff is pretty interesting. Especially exporting terrains/transport. P.S. You might even leave price same, but just give us opportunity to buy it, that's all.

It's like I was on the A-Train and somehow ended up boarding the F-Train without realizing.
neutral · AI labelView post →This game is an absolute blast to play if you are into business simulation and optimization. Don’t be fooled by the artstyle, it is a hardcore simulation. Similar games I’ve played include Railroad Tycoon, Anno series, Transport Fever, Transport Tycoon, Cities Skylines. In all of those games, earning money is easy, because you are an abstract entity in an abstract world, and the same things always work. A-Train on the other hand has you play as CEO of a company with every microeconomic detail…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A-Train: All Aboard! Tourism is a management simulator that delivers far more depth and complexity than its colorful presentation initially suggests. Developed by ARTDINK and published by KOMODO, the game places players in charge of a transportation company responsible for building railway systems, expanding cities, developing tourism, and managing large-scale economic growth. While many city-building games treat trains as a supporting feature, A-Train makes railways the heart of the entire…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I adore this game, and pretty much have only one major complaint; the bus routing. To be blunt, it sucks. Forming loop lines but not amazing. However, trying to make point-to-point lines with multiple stops along the way is maddening. The route pathfinding once you have your stops selected can be problematic (and sometimes just completely broken, AVOID the "Basic Bus Stop" and "Basic B St 2" for this reason, as I have had the most issues when using them). The game also sometimes orders your…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I cannot recommend this game. The controls are clunky (very bad UI design as wel) the graphics quality is very poor for today's standards and quite frankly, for me personally, it just frustrating to play. The main issue with this game is that controlling anything beyond 2-3 trains gets very cumbersome. You cannot even place train signals to control train flow, so with any even slightly complex rail setup, you will always end up having trains which get stuck and need to be manually removed from…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very accessible but retains the depth of older, classic A-Train titles. The UI is a bit clumsy for PC players, being originally used for the Nintendo Switch. Despite this, Really great that Artdink went this route. Very relaxing game and reminds me of the old days playing A-Train on Playstation 1. I am not sure how they could make a better A-Train game than this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't get me wrong. Artdink had a good idea with the moe anime npcs and tutors. I like that. It's a slimmer A-train, so it's easier to approach than previous A-train games. I like that too! I really want to like this game. I really do. The majority of us who played it have. But the UI is cluttered and train pathfinding is not easy to understand or solve either without a developed signal system. Big red flags for me. I played almost 3000 hours between OpenTTD, Train Fever, and Transport…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I used to play SimCity 3000 as well as the next installment back when I was younger and none of the city builder games I've tried ever since really managed to capture the same essence or imagination than those two games which is why I still play SC after all those years from time to time. Well I think my search for the next big thing is now over, because even though this game is not a city-builder in the strictest sense of the word, it evokes the same feelings as SC. It's not really surprising…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It really is the best version of the A-train. In addition to all the complexity of the A-train PC Classic (previous to this one), kept in this one, the tour/tourist mechanic was added. Besides, it has better information presentation than the previous one as well, and graphically it's very nice, with an excellent mix of 2d (isometric) and 3d vision. The only downside is with the control (mouse and keyboard), It takes a little getting used to and could be a little better. If you already know the…
