What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 246 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Mostly Positive (1,143 of 1,463 positive).
Players praise the unique water-world setting and physics-based vertical building. [1][2][3] Some find the title's collapse mechanic underwhelming and the game loop repetitive. [4][5][6] Several reviewers note the game is more casual than Frostpunk, with a relaxing pace. [1][7][8]

It's not a bad game, but it feels like it needs a bit more cook time to let its systems shine. The physics system is mostly inconsequential and only is a minor annoyance when attempting to bridge gaps between two places. Compared to something like Airborne Empire's where it adds systemically to the city design experience, in this game it doesn't alter how you approach the game much. There are very few events that …

All Will Fall is a city builder simulation game that takes place in the middle of the ocean offering multiple avenues for construction and expansion. So far I haven’t seen a lot of reviews here actually talking about the in-depth nature of the game so I’m gonna do that first. People say it’s like Frostpunk. No. Frostpunk is hostile, stressful and full of so much micromanagement that you’re destined to lose. THIS …

👍 Recommended Pros: Beautiful graphics with a great atmosphere. Unique and interesting survival gameplay. Amazing vertical base-building system that's both fun and rewarding. Meaningful decisions when managing resources and your colony. Runs very smoothly with no performance issues. Relaxing to play, yet surprisingly addictive—you'll always want to build "just one more thing." Cons: The gameplay loop can become …

This is a good game, don't go into it expecting anything like Frostpunk, it's much more casual than that. The political decisions arent that impactful and the "falling" part is only relevent in one scenario. They seem to have cut or scaled back a lot of the difficulty, I agree with some of the negative reviews, but i think they are a bit harsh, at worst this company only over sold what this product is. Overall its …

WATERWORLD meets colony sim, just brilliant. Somehow this has never been done this well before. While the game doesn't offer the craziest complexity or granularity, it more than makes up for it with its mood, art style and polish.

60 of 284 · most liked firstTo be honest, this game is starting to frustrate me quite a bit. I’ve seen this kind of AI behavior in other games before, and it always annoys me. You have two workers whose only job is to turn saltwater into drinking water in the boiler room. They’re literally responsible for the entire water supply. But instead, they abandon their posts and start protesting because there’s no water — the very same water they’re supposed to be producing. And the thing is, nobody else is rioting — just these…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is really promising, I enjoyed the 8 hours I played. It just needs some more development for me to recommend it. After 7 hours my motivation is decreasing (which is not much, I sink 100 hours in other city builders). Here are some points I wish to be adressed in the future: - The title is acutally misleading. In my games, nothing ever fell... There is a indicator system that shows you while you are building if your strucutre is "safe" or will eventually collapse. As long as you don't…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played the demo when it was first available. I was excited and couldn't wait to play the full game. After waiting a loong time for the game to come out, I was entertained for 7 hours then ultimately let down. I was expecting the actual game to have more complexity and variation than the demo. I think too much time was spent laser focused on the physics aspect of level-building without providing a stimulating game loop. Like another review I read, after about 5 hours (or even less), I saw…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's overpriced. First of all the concept is fantastic. It's a 3D colony sim in Waterworld. On the other hand... The title is misleading. Nothing really fell in my 40+ hour playthroughs. When you build, parts flash red if they lack support, so you add some support blocks. That's mostly it. Some buildings require access to the sea or sunlight, inherently demanding balance over structual integrity and positioning. But again, most solutions boiled down to either spamming concrete/metal or…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I do not recommend this game at the moment. The reason is actually quite simple. The game features an excellent physics simulation system—players can’t just place buildings freely, but instead must constantly manage structural load and balance to keep the entire city stable. This is a very innovative idea. However, the entire experience is completely disrupted by a poorly designed social system. ====================================================================== 1. Terrible labor and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Regrettably, as a big fan who bought this game on release, I am unable to recommend it in its current state, even though it's very addictive. I had a strong impression and great expectation when I played the demo, thanks to its fresh, unique concept. Still, it seems the devs took all the fun out and put in excessive effort to mimic Frostpunk's gameplay model in the actual game itself, which, unaccountably, they are currently bundling for sale at a discounted price. The game still has many…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I gave this about 2 hours before refunding, and it just didn’t click. The biggest issue is the camera. The controls are absolutely horrendous. There are two different camera modes to choose from, but neither feels good or intuitive. You constantly fight the camera instead of focusing on the game. Because of that, navigating the 3D space becomes frustrating. It’s very easy to miss items, and it’s often unclear why something isn’t working - whether it’s building, placement, or pathing. You end…

neutral · AI labelView post →Game might as well be called "Nothing Will Ever Fall (unless you intentionally place a building on a unstable ground against in-game warning but even then you can totally undo it with no gameplay consequences)". Also, it doesn't run very well (probably because it's always calculating all that physics you don't ever see). And for a city builder that is so vertical, the camera controls (especially on the up-down axis) are very bad. Really sad, game was looking promising but after you learn that…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want to upvote and maybe some day I'll get to, but it just didn't land for me after a sincere an honest try. I think there are good things going, I'm into the overall concept and also the way you have to manage 3 & 1/2 groups of citizens, that's cool. I think it just gets really slow and deeply repetitive once you've solved the basic issues of food & water management. There isn't much room for optimizing, advancing, or even rising challenge. You just unlock better and easier things and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →astonished to say this but All Will Fall might be the first worker-sim game I've been able to enjoy in like a decade (not counting DF). really smart decisions re early game pacing + fun theming and ideas = I genuinely had a super good time with the demo store.steampowered.com/app/2706020/...
positive · AI labelView post →It's literally Frostpunk + iconic 1995 movie Waterworld starring the Academy Award-winner Kevin Costner Instant buy for any fan of survival city builders
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →you could call it "the only thing falling is the water level" the feature that structures fail is simply easy to avoid. it's not a bad game and it's not a great one, so its more Meh leaning on no for me.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very interesting idea framed around city management framed around physics based destruction. Initially pretty interesting, if a bit straightforward. Resource generation & upkeep is rather simplistic, but works well enough. Population grows so fast that the constant upkeep of food/water/junk becomes tedious INCREDIBLY quickly. The main death knell for the game is that there are no hazards that incentivize managing the physics aspects of the game. From my time playing with it, there were no…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game, but stay away until they fix all the new game breaking bugs they introduced at the end of june. It's basically unplayable in its current state.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game runs smoothly with no noticeable bugs or game breaking oversights, it is a fun post apocalyptic city builder in an ocean world, from my personal perspective it is a rare game setting which is well made. When first starting it does feel unassuming, the game simultaneously does not take itself seriously yet the world maintains an ominous backstory. Announcer gives the impression of someone within the colony that has taken it upon himself to be the city herald rousing citizens to work and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really really want to recommend this game. its a lot of fun to see your city expand, your production grow, and your population build a neat post-apocalyptic waterworld like home for themselves. The issue is that at some critical point, the cost of simulating that new home will drop your FPS to single digits and render the game unplayable. While not new, my PC is well above the minimum and recommended specs and my playthrough on the randomtown scenario is stuck simply because i can't play a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I do not recommend this game. At first everything seems perfectly fine. As I got better at the game and further into I realized the game was adding population to my city. The game became a constant grind to get junk and wood to keep up with the population explosion that is constant and ongoing. It complete ruined the game for me. I am done with it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Im so hooked on this game. Its a take your time, think things through and then bring your plans to fruition game. if you rush your more than likely going to run into problems later in the game. (yes it happened to me on 1st play) Its a city builder, and it does it well. I've only had the game 5 days at writing and I cant put it down. Dev is working hard at fixing any bugs that pop up and hes doing an amazing job at it. If I was going to be picky a few of the problems in the first 5 or so…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really want to like this game. The game loop is pretty addicting, and the ideas are really interesting. The game still feels like an early access game. Even with a PC with pretty great specs, the game is really unstable. Path finding and physics calculations fires up every time you add a tiny block - halting the game or creating major drops in performance. When your colony expands to about 100 people, there is huge amount of hidden complexity that doesn't add challange but frustration. It's…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best way to describe this game, for me, is boring. The formula is VERY simple... - Build 1 of each resource producing buildings (there are ~4-5 resources that matter) - Keep everyone housed, maybe build some bonus buildings if you want buffed people, but it's optional - Selection random event options every few minutes... sometimes they are VERY punishing, almost never are they interesting. The physics part of the game is also extremely simple, and as long as everything is supported…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is a fun concept for a game but the game freezes or crashes. Some of the production buildings do not work. The water system just stops producing water. Homes dont register and the people complain that they dont have a home. Fishing and gathering boats just sit there. Still has way too many bugs.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The positive is that this game is still enjoyable despite the title mechanic being a novelty. The collapsing mechanic fails to be engaging for a few reasons: The game gives no reason to build in a structurally unstable way. Construction design guardrails prevent unintentional instability. Events do not trigger unforeseeable instability, removing risk. In an ideal version of this game, the environment would periodically test the build quality and not just warn the player of immediate…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In All Will Fall, you help a group of survivors who have fled what land is left, as bandits and killers have taken much of it over. While sailing in a storm, your crew crashes into a set of buildings that are sticking out of the water. Now, you are stuck and must make the most of the situation. You start on a small chunk of exposed building and a small selection of structures that you can build upon. All you can do currently is gather the closest resource piles so you can build, and the…

For me, city builders are a cozy game often accompanied by audio books or long form video essays. For 6 months, the demo has been my go-to game to unwind with. The replayablity for me comes from experimenting with different building strategies with different goals personal goals but now in the full game there are so many new things to explore I am very excited to play more! You can really create anything you want. It reminds me…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoyed this game on my old setup (i7-4790K, GTX 1060, 16GB RAM) aside from some motion sickness. However, once I reached the land scenario and expanded my build, the game started lagging severely whenever I placed structures. I had to pause and wait several minutes just to build anything, making it completely unplayable. Upgrading to a brand-new PC did not fix the issue at all. It is a solid game let down by poor optimization on larger maps. I love the concept and hope the developers…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm on the fence on this one. It's one of those city builders that has an "optimal path" and if you don't stick to the optimal path you'll probably have to start over or rewind. The puzzle box of figuring out how to build paths to a resource is annoying, it's often unclear how come a worker can't get to a resource. The game does try to help you with some visual cues, but it's not enough. And workers don't understand "reach upward". I'm like 49% positive 51% negative on this. If you really…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’ve only put about 2 hours in so far, but I can already tell this is going to be a massive time-sink. If you enjoy the 'floating survival' vibe of Raft mixed with the high-stakes management of a vertical city builder, this is it. The standout feature is definitely the 3D construction. Unlike most city builders where you just plop buildings on a grid, the physics simulation here means you actually have to care about weight and material strength. It adds a layer of tension I wasn't…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game. Can be played one handed for those that really want to chill and veg out.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Though a bit pricey for sure this game was absolutely worth the cost and long wait. The basics of the game are simple and quick to learn with one of the best tutorials I've seen and starting out there are a few resources you have access to making it even simpler to learn. You can however still complicate this game to an insane level with a crazy amount of min-maxing being possible with with the arrangement of your city and pathing. A few details that I don't see of the store page but would like…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL;DR: Great concept, but the pacing is a really problem! Despite my thumbs down, I don’t think this is a bad game, it’s just not a finished one. There’s a solid foundation here, but right now progression is too slow, systems don’t interact in meaningful ways, and choices lack impact. The difficulty comes more from restrictions and imbalance than from interesting gameplay challenges. --- I didn’t play the demo and bought the game at launch expecting a polished experience. Unfortunately,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While it was a bit (or a lot) buggy at launch, I feel that with several post-release patches, I can finally whole-heartedly recommend this game. It's a very solid colony sim, with some unique elements; most notably the titular "falling" from structural stability mechanics. It adds some spice to the colony game formula without feeling terribly punishing about it. The per-game time is on the short side for the genre, with individual colonies able to reach long-term stability relatively…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tough to recommend this one. Your citizens often have strange pathfinding issues for reasons that don't really make sense to me. they frequently cant reach things that look reachable, and often don't use paths that look usable. Building structures feels pretty janky, and is a very important part of the game. It is often not clear why buildings are unreachable, or why a structure does not have proper support. The physics that can cause destruction of your structures, which is supposedly…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I didn't like Frost punk because i felt the city building was limited. All Will fall gives me all of the political nightmares with a much better city building aspect, would from cannibalism of the sick to purchasing slaves. good game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a good city Builder which focuses on ressource management. Pros: -Physics, not very complicated but still realistic -Gets you addicted pretty fast -You can play it however you like -Lots of playtime -Fair Price Cons: -Its lacking a few quality of life features, the camera feels very clunky sometimes and the overlay is not the best, hard to see ressource flows. There are certainly city builder games that did it a lot better -Performance, eventhough the devs certainly tried to optimise it.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was fun until I started getting overwhelmed by people that do nothing but laze about and steal precious resources. Until the Outsiders are either patched out or made FAR LESS FREQUENT, don't buy.

neutral · AI labelView post →Don't get suckered into it. A few hours in and your performance will slow to a crawl. Sorry, but 13 FPS isn't viable for a game on the lowest settings with a 3080. EDIT - and now it's CTDing. Just yet another poorly optimized Unity game. I want to like it, but the devs make actually playing it pretty damn difficult.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At the early stage, “All Will Fail” was actually quite enjoyable and manageable. The town progression felt balanced, and the food consumption system seemed reasonable while the population was growing steadily. However, once the citizen heat reached around 100, the game suddenly became very hard to manage. The balancing and algorithm behind the mechanics became unclear and confusing. Even when the citizen count dropped back to a manageable level, the daily food consumption still felt…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved the game. Very addicting. Wish there was a random map generator or something that you can do after you beat all the maps. I was able to complete everything in about 125 hours. Looking forward to DLC's in the future with more maps/ features.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I impulsively bought this game and got frustrated around 4 hours in, but alas I couldn't refund it. So I continued playing for another 4 hours before the game started to lag during a storm. I'm attributing it to the rain particles but it could have been any number of things. I wasn't even very far into my 2nd base so it would only have gotten worse. This game feels like a early-access game. It shouldn't have been released in it's current state and there really should be an in-game wiki for the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I honestly never even thought of physics based construction system for a base builder, its handled rather well so far from my current playtime, despite the fact I lost half of my houses (oops). It is definitely not as great as the compareable "Whiskerwood" - Collapsing-physics do not add too much to AllWillFall besides functioning as an expansion-constrain. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game still has alot of bugs that slow down progression like not being able to do certain action even though the building need for the action is build most the maps end games are boring either wait for water level to go down or you make a water level go down or build/activate something x number of times. only fun one was the tanker map where you live on a moving boat and given this was a idea from the community not surprised this was the only interesting one. the main gimmick "physics-based…
