I wouldn't play this game if you are tired because it just might lull you to sleep. I grew so bored with this game that I just couldn't play it anymore. For one thing, it's grindy. Real grindy. You constantly have to keep adding wood to the stove in your cabin or you will freeze to death. Tools constantly keep breaking and you have to recraft the same items over and over again. You also have to constantly keep up …

Runs great on the Steam Deck hitting 60 fps. Interesting survival game with relatively quick tutorial phase. Simple button press to chop down trees with your 🪓. Red berries and Mushrooms seem to be easy enough to gather. My only gripe so far is 🪓's have very low durability so craft 2 or 3 at a time. Crafting is extremely simple and fast combat is fair but nothing revolutionary. 8.5/10 …

I almost didn’t get this game due to the negative reviews. I’m glad I decided to get it anyway, because now I think that the people leaving negative reviews may have just never played a game like this before. It isn’t a difficult game. The first hour can be challenging, but once you figure out what you have to do, it becomes pretty simple. The only annoying thing is the amount of back and forth, since some paths …

I found this worked perfectly on Steam Deck, even though its rated as just "playable". I had no issues reading anything. I really enjoy the style an atmosphere. It reminded me of Don't Starve, though is a bit more forgiving and less complex. Overall a fun experience. It took me about 20h to complete but a less cautious player may take less time. I plan on going back in for the last few achievements.

A Fun mix of Don't Starve and The Long Dark, simple yet engaging game with a charming art style. Don't be fooled this game is simple but that doesn't mean it's easy. It has a story and i think it could take around 4 - 6 hours but you first time will be closer too 8 - 12 depending how much side content you want to do. I blind 100% this in less than 12 hours so it can be done over a weekend. Well worth the price and a …

neutral · AI labelView post →It looked interesting, long dark iso game with a twist but the UI is extremely inconsistent, interactions seem all over the place (space vs. E vs. click), there is no key mapping options, these are required for me. Sadly I'm refunding, I can't rate the story or long term gameplay,
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Baby Invasion: 10/10 - the itch.io clockwork orange. Harmony Korine is no “baby” and I feel “invaded”. If you liked Funny Games or Angst but wished they had the color palette of the Sega Master System you will love. Excited to try the new game plus

neutral · AI labelView post →I like the idea of Angst: A Tale of Survival. It's an isometric The Long Dark with low-res graphics. Unfortunately, it's not ready for primetime. It's bland, formulaic, and intensely grindy for such a small game. It's a full time job to stay full of food (even with the recent minor changes), with equipment which breaks almost comically quick (put on new shoes and they were broken in 1 hit from a wolf). The plot/quest drags you along in the most obvious manner, but the story is forced…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gives Long Dark vibes - a perfect game to play in the middle of winter. I enjoy the simple mechanics. It’s a fresh change from the other challenging survival games I’ve been playing. Yet the game is not easy - I’ve already died several times. The crafting progression keeps me motivated to finish quests and the map is surprisingly large and fun to explore. Overall, a great indie game that I would not hesitate to recommend to others.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →me: i don't think i'll ever play this game, i'll just look at the fanworks from afa- youtube: LOOK AT THE ANGST BETWEEN THESE TWO CHARACTERS FROM GAME me: oh no 🥴
neutral · AI labelView post →At 11am today on @noiseboxradio.com, Middle-Aged Teenage Angst plays a game along with lots of excellent indie / alternative music. (It's not that game.)
neutral · AI labelView post →Was... Meh. Not bad, not great. Passed the time. Can't complain for £7. For that price, would not insult an indie dev with a downvote.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →same vibe as last day on earth but with only few weapons ,short story, annoying mechanics and few enemies, 60 % of the whole game is only walking to a point a to a point b
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great little game with some decent narrative. had a single bug during my gameplay, but it was fixed by the devs only 24h after i experienced it. Would recommend, i hope they release some extended content

neutral · AI labelView post →If I could give this a 50/50 rating I would. It's a decent little game and for the price it is worth picking up and playing. It's not a survival game though, so don't go in to it expecting the environment and enemies to be challenging if you've seen this game and you're a survival game fan. I got 100% completion on this under 10 hours and I'd say an hour or two of that was cleaning up to get that 100% after finishing the game. The reason I'm on the fence is that the game is billed as a…

neutral · AI labelView post →Fun game with harsh environment. The game runs thin very quickly and there are a lot of improvements to be made (combat is easy once you know what to do, upgrades are basically meaningless) but overall decent game for the price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tell me, dear developer, why even providing grass equipment, when one single hit from a Wolf will destroy each single piece (head, body, pants, gloves or shoes), forcing you to recraft that item, which by the way gives next to 0 protection? What was going on in your mind? "Avoid all fights to keep your equipment intact"? How is the player supposed to explore while chased by 10 rabid Wolves who relentlessly go after the player through the whole map? Tell me, how were you imagining the beginning…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Most of the game is only walking from point A to a point B. Not for me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is a cool game but i don't know how i feel about buying it because it doesn't have lots of content. i finished it in 7.6 hours it would be cool if i continue the side missions but i can't play a game if there is no purpose anymore to playing
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This Game is great for the price! The environment feels harsh yet immersive, and the steady sense of vulnerability keeps the gameplay engaging without becoming frustrating. Crafting and resource management are intuitive, and the slow progression makes every small success feel earned.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was fun for a little bit, until I got gangbanged by wolves and had to constantly recraft clothing which became annoying, then a boss wolf killed me, I lost all items xcept for one, that's when I asked for a refund. Battle system sucks as well, it's primitive and sloppy. What would make the game better is getting EXP for everything: running, rolling, wood chopping etc. this could level up the character's skills so he could do those activities faster/longer. Right now playing this game just…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ANGST: A Tale of Survival, developed by Cherrypick Games and published by Games Operators and Cherrypick Games, is a survival experience built as much around emotional endurance as it is around physical struggle. Rather than dropping the player into a typical resource-driven sandbox, the game opens in a stark and desolate wilderness—an eerie, liminal place known as Hopeward Hollow. You awaken in the ruins of a cabin, disoriented and nameless, with no memory of how you arrived. The world around…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good little Game take about 8 hour to complete maybe less if you don't check all the Map. Is the Game good : yeah ... 8/10 Is the Game Difficult : No ... 6/10 Is the Game Beautiful : ok ... 7/10 Is the Game replayble : Not really ... 4/10 Overall good little game a little pricey (i've paid it 10$) for the gameplay but fun.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While this game might not be as difficult as other "survival" games it might lure you into a false sense of security and BAM! you are dead, now it has a difficulty slider that lets casual gamers like me to enjoy the game without too much worries.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this game in a bundle with Hellslave for less than 10 bucks. Kinda Meh. can speed run the game in under 4 hours in all honestly not a great game. but not that bad of one. Spend the extra to get Wild 8 for a better experience
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ANGST??? IN MY YAOI GAME??.. more likely than you’d think….
neutral · AI labelView post →Honestly, I can tell you that this is a great game, gonna play more of it, but I already can tell you that this is fun and it's gonna be even more fun. Think of it as The Long Dark with god's perspective. It has nice colors that are easy for the eyes, can be really cozy and chill, but also scary and intense. You unlock stuff and the unlocking doesn't take long, so it's not a boring grindy life simulator. Definitelly recommend for 8€, if it's on sale, I urge you to buy it. Gonna release a video…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoyed it through the frustration. I did not realize that you could block so I died a lot at first trying to dodge and stab. It ran smooth. Fun finding the hidden items. I did 100% the game including make at least one of every food item.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't normally care for top-down games, but ANGST: A Tale of Survival is an exception. Right from the start of the game, the world presents the player with various challenges that require you to learn and adapt as you play. As you master one aspect, you're confronted with another. While the combat system and difficulty of the mobs are simplistic, the real challenge is how you tackle the elements and figure out the best plan of action to move forward. I give this game 7/10.

neutral · AI labelView post →Really fun game! It reminds me of Dredge in the gameplay style narrative and art , I love it . It can be quite brutal to survive in the beginning but it gets so much easier , I like there is storage boxes all over the map, I have filled them all and the supply boxes and cars regenerate new loot every day , so if you die and loose nice things it can easily be replaced , I have managed to have a whole set of clothes stored in every cabin . Death is not too bad you loose your luxuries but not…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So far I am really enjoying the game the crafting it is very good and the balance between craft and used items seems fare The graphics are easy going on the eyes I love the style plus once you get your head around how everything works the game gets better so far its been a great experience and look forward to what's to come oh and did I speak about the price value for money 100%
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice 10h game, I wish the combat was a bit more developed. You cannot win on skill, you will always either damage weapon when blocking or get damaged not blocking. Dodging doesn't really work, since it turns you away from the enemy.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just to say...8 hours further in since the opinion below, and it's truly a gorgeous game. I felt a bit worried, then there was a bit of anxiety and uncertainty. That was in the first 5 minutes. I've also never been so glad to see a mushroom. The artistic design and the mood setting with colour tone and sound is superb. I've only just started, so I know there's more to come. I can't wait!
