it was a really fun game and I didnt finish it and stopped playing around a year ago. I reinstalled it and tried playing and the launcher is completely bricked for PC. It does not launch no matter the solutions I tried to find online. If you are thinking of buying this game, go into it expecting to have to refund it because it will not launch no matter what

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Review Overview Syndicate is not the most beloved entry in the series, but it has real charm. London looks and feels great, traversal is fast once the rope launcher clicks, and the twin-protagonist structure adds personality. Combat and some loop design are pretty basic, and it can feel less “Assassin Creed-y” because of the gang focus, yet it is still a fun, different spin that I would …

I jumped into Assassin’s Creed Syndicate expecting another Assassin story. Instead, I found myself running London like it owed me money. This isn’t a lone assassin tale. It’s a takeover. Victorian London is alive, loud, and divided. Factories choke the air. Gangs own the streets. And order is just another illusion. Jacob fights with fists first, plans later. Evie thinks before she moves — and that contrast carries …

I completed Assassin's Creed Syndicate with 100% Synchronization, finished all the DLCs, and unlocked 54 achievements. The biggest highlight of the game is Victorian London. Even today, The architecture, the atmosphere of the Industrial Revolution, and the incredible environmental detail make exploring the city a joy. What impressed me the most, however, was how alive London feels. NPCs are constantly working, …

Assassin's Creed Syndicate is by far one of the most pleasing and visually appealing games of all time! The game feels like a time machine that takes you to 19th-century London. The map is huge, and it does feel more generation 9 than most current AAA titles out there to this date! It captures the Industrial Revolution and the Victorian era properly, and it properly shows us the impact and suffering of London's …

She hailed the game as "a triumphant return to form for the franchise". Daniel Krupa from IGN gave the game an 8.2/10, citing the design of the city and the lighthearted plot as high points, while criticising the repetitive combat, yet saying it was better than Unity's combat. negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Despite the levelling system, Syndicate is considered among Assassin's Creed players as the last 'normal' game, comparing to the next titles, that merged into something gacha-MMO RPG-like. Also, the catchy setting: late-19th-century, steam-infused London, the capital of the world’s largest empire, and the bright protagonists' duo. Jacob, a rough-edged hoodlum who looks much like Hugh Jackman in his prime form, and his sly and empathic sister Evie, supposedly the best female assassin character…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Top Hat Ruined EverythingSyndicate is not a bad game. Victorian London is a great setting and the industrial atmosphere gives the whole game a very distinct look. I also like the gang theme a lot, probably because I love Peaky Blinders. There was just so much more Ubisoft could have done with it. Instead, most of the game comes down to taking over one district, beating the local gang and moving on to the next. After a while it feels less like taking over London and more like clearing a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's incredible how Ubisoft has perfected the art of making playing something you've already bought a full-time chore. Want to play a single-player campaign? Tough luck. If their cardboard servers decide to crash, which happens every Tuesday, you're stuck staring at a loading screen. I bought a game on Steam, but I have to open Ubisoft Connect, which then asks me to log in again, only to crash mid-game. It's an unnecessary layer of junk that just wastes RAM and tests my patience. Conclusion:…

Look for ACS (it will likely be at the top since it uses a lot of memory). 4. Click “Go to details.” 5. Find ACS.exe. 6. Right-click it, select “Set priority”, then choose “Realtime.” 7. Close Task Manager and return to the game. Notes The game should run after this, but it may still be slightly buggy in some cases. I am running it at 160+ FPS, but it seems game…

If any of yall never got a chance to play this back in the day or just couldnt get into it, I highly recommend revisiting this game. Not gonna write a review because there is lots of "Assassins Creed Syndicate in 2025" Youtube videos out there reviewing the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite possibly the best game i have ever played - and Ive played quite a few. Its certainly the best AC title to date and trumps Shadows for gameplay and character/story depth. Hows that for a game thats over 10 years old? Ubisoft should be commended on the graphics, excrutiating level of detail and overall gameplay to what is one of the finest stealth games to hit the Steam Deck. Others have bemoaned the weather effects of the game. Why? It has everything thats needed. Theres nothing to…

This is the best soundtrack of the franchise for sure. ---{ Difficulty }--- Easy: 7/10 Like every AC game there isn’t really much of a challenge, I mean it can be…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After the banger that was Assassins' Creed: Unity, Ubisoft decided to give us this....thing: Look, I like the setting - its the most modern setting we've gotten in an Assassins' Creed game since playing as Desmond in the Modern Day, and that also brings with it a lot of fun: Carriages to ride and fight on, semi-auto pistols to turn your enemies to swiss cheese, and a setting oozing with subjugation and (admittedly) capitalistic opportunity in the form of the Industrial Revolution. We play as…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The last old school Assassin's Creed with actual parkour and its classic combat system Visually it's a downgrade especially in terms of NPC count when compared to its previous game Unity and the story is complete dogwater but the gameplay, side activities and exploration is fun Also DO NOT unlock Evie invisibility skill, biggest regret ever, horrible skill to unlock if you like looking at your character since it turns your character model completely invisible everytime you stand still for 2…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Being a long time fan of the franchise and hearing that Ubisoft is remaking Black Flag, I wanted to relive the last Pre-RPG Assassin's Creed game and as a token of appreciation decided to 100% it. Do I regret wasting 71 hours of my life? No. Is Industrial London a great setting? Yes. Thank you Assassins Creed, you'll always have a place it my heart!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Maybe I'm just retarded but the gameplay is insufferable. The introduction of a level system limits your lethality. You would assume these assassins are leagues ahead of combat experience than a common gang thug. A headshot from a pistol should instantly kill regardless of level. I have no issue with being funneled into a progression line, but using such a tiresome mechanic is annoying in an AC game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ubibug is famous for leaving their games with bugs and never fixes them. This game still has bugs and crashes up to this day. Overall the story is not perfect but not bad at all, Great Potential with Frye Twins. I think the story has a lot of bugs, how the hell Jack The Ripper beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of Jacob, and Evie Manages to kill him??! that doesn't make sense! London Portraited well in this game. 3.5/5

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Buy and Play it now. Get immersed. Traversal is exactly how I thought AC should be. You can move quickly on top of or between buildings with what you have. Evie Frye has the greatest walking animation, to me she is the main char of the game, I dont like Ubisoft for giving two characters instead of focusing on one. It's still generic AC. Needs the same amount of work done again to make it GTA level. But it's there. It has everything, Victorian London, greatest city ever, Queen, Chimneys,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Assassins Creed Syndicate is yet another entry in the series and the last of the pre-RPG oriented Assassin’s Creed games. But is it really the last classic one? After playing every AC before this, it feels like a strange mix of old and new ideas. Some things are better, some clearly worse. Industrial revolution atmosphere London during the Industrial Revolution is one of the strongest parts of the game. You can really feel the heaviness of those times. Children working in factories, smoke…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't get me wrong, this game is pretty solid! But I recommend playing this on console instead. The performance for me was very middling.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even in 2026 there's almost nothing else out there that matches the level of historical immersion and love for world design and architecture that these older AC titles manage to provide. I had played Syndicate base game before and loved it, and now played Jack the Ripper and my opinion has not changed. I absolutely love the older games (pre-RPG) and have a certain charm when it comes to the environments that is irreplaceable. Also I love Evie so much as the protag, far more than Jacob (sorry…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this game a few years ago on a Ubisoft account. I grinded like mad and loved the game so much as it was my first experience. After 30 hours and some years later I decided to return only to realise I could not open it or even connect the game to Ubisoft. I had to waste another 20-30 bucks on the game again on a different Ubisoft account. Atm I have AC Syndicate on 2-3 Ubisoft accounts and on one Steam account. I still cannot open it. It gives me reference about using an activation/CD…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After the first 5–10 hours, I thought I was going to hate this game, but it gets much better afterwards and I ended up having quite a lot of fun with it. My biggest problem is the parkour. It feels much slower and heavier than in Unity, and London’s wide streets make it difficult to smoothly move from rooftop to rooftop. The Rope Launcher makes this even worse, as you can simply skip entire buildings with one button. It takes away a lot of the fun and skill from Assassin’s Creed parkour. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good game sadly too bugy, like i got 20 frustrating bugs and 3 mision crashing ones, and controls are a mess at times, but in all if game runed withoiuth bugs it ws be a blast to play
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The storyline is mediocre and the characters are woke BUT I enjoyed the setting and exploration. I have mixed feelings about the game, and considering the amount of time spent on it, I can't say for sure whether I like it or not. Pros: • Setting Victorian Era London is really beautiful and lively. The city is big and has authentic architecture and styling. Neighborhoods differ from each other and don't look boring. • Level design Almost all levels are unique, including interesting…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You know i think its weird how this game and Unity escaped me and i never played them... It feels like blackflag to syndicate was the golden age of AC. Beatifull game beatifull gameplay and setting. A london like you never saw before. 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →pretty unpowerful game compared to it's predecessors in my humble little opinion. no character depth or nuance for the sake of cartoon villain tropes. missions are repetitive, open world is not interesting, parkour is torturing and even the last boss fight is lame and ridicilous. dont mind my review if you like this game already but for those of you haven't bought and played it yet, if you are a fan of ac series and their stories, you will probably find this game weak and uninteresting.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The London setting is detailed and vibrant, and traversal with ropes and carriages adds fun variety to movement. Combat is responsive, though slightly simplified compared to earlier entries. Story pacing is uneven, but the twin-protagonist approach adds fresh perspective. Side activities are abundant, sometimes overwhelming, but generally well-designed. Performance is stable, and the game runs smoothly. Overall, a solid AC experience with strong world design, enjoyable traversal, and competent…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its an amazing classical to enjoy and remind yourself of the good old days lol. I used to play this game when I was a kid and I am playing it now again. Nostalga does feel good sometimes XD.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wow this game is way better then i ever realized. I wish Unity hadn't set this game up for failure. This is the best of both worlds. Its much more like a classic AC but it has actually engaging combat that doesn't go too far like the RPGs did. I think shadows has solid combat but the others are inexcusably bad and no AC should replicate it. I wish this had become the template. Parkour up/down is the way, and this just strikes a book balance overall, it still feels like AC without just being the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An interesting concept for an Assassins Creed game. 2 player characters instead of one. Dominate London as a family of two assassins. Charming visuals and interesting concepts give it a 7/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The story is pretty boring, the characters are meh. Gameplay gets rather tedious as well with the usual Ubisoft bloat. Scan, clear area checkpoints, and hoover up collectibles along the way to the next major mission. Still some jank with geometry flickering, collision issues, and certain inventory items always resetting to be flagged as new whenever you switch characters. Some of the main missions can be interesting, but at a certain point you can pretty much just throw knives to kill 80% of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played it for the first time and was worried it might not be good, but I ended up being pleasantly surprised! The story was really enjoyable, and London looks absolutely gorgeous – the fog, the rain, the golden leaves, the lanterns, and that atmosphere. It feels so alive, melancholic, and beautiful at the same time. Stealth works well, combat feels satisfying, and the parkour is smooth. I preferred playing as Jacob, but both twins have their own charm. As a fan of this series, I definitely…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game’s depiction of Victorian London is one of its strongest parts, and the rope launcher works well in a city built on this scale. Combat is fun, but the story was a different matter. I’d still recommend giving it a chance, just not with high expectations.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Haven't really enjoyed an AC game since Odyssey and the Ezio trilogy. I remember the Ubisoft of old, the Splinter Cell Ubisoft. I was looking for a stealthy action game and bounced off Shadows and its insane 6 hours of cutscenes before you start the game. You're not tricking me out of the refund window with that one, guys. AC Syndicate really has that old AC charm, great (and surprisingly challenging) stealth, gadgets, and Victorian London is a cool setting, I imagine these guys as…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Has just about every mechanic unity does, except it does it better and feels better. The story is also good. If you liked unity at all this game is for you, if you were meh on unity you should try this game, if you hated unity (like me) this game is still worth a shot. This was the last AC game before it went truley downhill in my eyes
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is my personal favorite assassins creed game of all time. yaya i know.. I just think this game is amazing & I love everything about it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has always been hated, but personally I really like it. It is like a bright big exiting city with alot of stuff to do, I would say for me it is probaly top 7-6 ac game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, setting is quite good, graphics and characters are nice. However, combat is too bad, characters often are doing completely different thing you wanted them to do (eg jump instead of climb or vice versa), scripted campaign fights, cutting you off from your pistol, knives, grenades and etc, leaving you to just idiotic hand-to-hand combat - this is especially about the DLC. Hard to imagine even more moronic fight that this non-lethal fists and scares - omfg, this is such a crap. I'm an…

The game's got it all: stealth, action, and an awesome protagonist in the twins, Jacob and Evie Frye! 🔥– you'll love steering them through 1868 London. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3643393437 Story's mid, yeah, but don't let that fool you. The gameplay's great 🔥 – smooth, fun, and with awesome parkour moves. Visually, it's still…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →better than the new ac. Really enjoyable if you play it for the nostalgia, other than that the story is ok, the ending is super cringe. Jack the ripper dlc sux, ww1 dlc is super short and more of the same base game, go kill one person or liberate an outpost, get it in the bundle don't spend your money on it alone, buy a cheeseburger instead. TLDR: Base game good, DLC meh
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →4th playthrough , this time on pc . Loved the whole game as it is The grind for unlocking new upgrades is really fun , Story is pretty good too . The map is a little bit congested but overall the rope launcher tool makes traversing around the map fun . Dlcs are decent . 200% Worth it on discounts otherwise if you are a rich lad buy it . Definetly a unique experience in the AC games
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sequence 7 bug hasn't been fixed. You have to spam change your video settings until it works and triggers the cutscene. Don't give up lol. IMO one of the best games they've came out with out of the later ones.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Syndicate It’s about humility and acceptance. Everything here is absolutely rubbish compared to the old parts, but you come to terms with it and begin accepting the game just as she is. Two characters – cool decision. Realization by Ubisoft. But what's Evie's role in the story, if the majority of missions are made for Jacob? Rope Launcher – one of the few cool things about this game. Of course, for Ubi this meant they could save their energy on developing the urban environment (it’s not…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An enjoyable entry in the series that is brought down by crashes. Thankfully the game autosaves fairly often. I think I must have had to restart the game 50+ times during my playthrough. Normally this'd be an 4/5 game. Given the technical state it's in it's a 3/5, but just barely.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was the beginning of the end of the series. The death nail. History is a meaningless backdrop to the story, which is rubbish. There's overt narratives forced onto the player, and nothing is ever addressed directly. While the series often proses hard questions and characters answering them with reasonable meaning, this game feels written at an elementary level, but with the writers' own political leanings forced in. The gameplay is even worse than unity, with a total lack of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Eh. For me personally this is an insane downgrade from what Assassin's Creed Unity provided the player with. You might be rolling your eyes as the unfortunate bandwagon hate for Unity has infected you like a plague or perhaps your eyes are just immune to the truth, whatever that may be I can tell you that for me as an Assassin's Creed fan and as a Stealth fan this game feels like a watered down version of the many tools and weapons at our disposal for the Assassin fantasy in the title…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is a fun open-world game set in Victorian London with great atmosphere and two playable characters. Gameplay is smooth and improved, but the story and side missions can feel repetitive.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I picked up Assassin's Creed Syndicate with very little idea of what the game was about. I had previously played AC2, Unity, and Origins, and I think Syndicate slots into the same older AC formula as a 'fine' addition to the franchise. There's lots of really nice details, but mostly it's nothing groundbreaking. You play as Jacob and Evie Frye, two twin assassins as they try and reclaim 1868 London from an evil faction. The missions are alright, the level design is alright, mechanics are…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Syndicate might be the most fun I've had playing an Assassin's Creed game...ever. There was literally never a time besides literally one or two side objectives in missions that I was bored or didn't enjoy myself. (I'm biased, Jacob's my favourite protag, and Evie is up there, let me have this one) Despite this, I can recognise that this game is very similar to Unity in terms of quality. Whilst Unity's biggest issue was the boring side content and the bugs/janky combat/stealth sections,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Victorian London, Buckingham Palace and Big Ben, steamships moving along the River Thames—all of this is brought to life in this wonderful installment of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. In this chapter, we can play as two protagonists: Evie and her younger brother Jacob—she’s only five minutes older than him, but that’s beside the point. The supporting characters are an art form in their own right, including historical figures who help us along the way. There’s also Jacob’s terrifying counterpart,…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've now played through every Assassin's Creed game on Steam, back to back, except for Shadows, but I'm looking forward to it, and I can say I understand how people felt when this game came out: right at the height of the AC fatigue, following the messy Unity launch, on the year Witcher 3 came out, it didn't have a chance. And it has it's faults, specially the weird pacing of the story, also in my opinion this is when AC starting moving away from the original formula, and I feel like they were…
