What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 223 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (45,176 of 48,737 positive).
Some complain about toxic multiplayer and a flawed safety rating system. [1][2][3] A few note the game lacks content without DLC and has been abandoned by developers. [3][4][5]

Base game doesnt offer much so if you dont want to buy multiple dlc-s its not worth it. Safety rating is coded by some cave man, you loose safety rating if someone crashes into you. Otherwise pretty fun to drive. Its very easy to drive with a wheel, not sure why some people say its hard...

**⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 10/10** Assetto Corsa Competizione is hands down the most realistic racing simulator I've ever played. The driving physics are incredible. Every car feels different, tire temperatures matter, track conditions evolve, and you can genuinely feel when you're pushing the car beyond its limits. When you nail a lap, it feels earned. When you make a mistake, it's usually because you did something wrong—not …

game is full of IDIOTS. No matter where you go youre gonna run into some IDIOT who crashed and his poor and fragile ego is crushed due to everyone passing him, so he decides to accelerate into everyone and grief the race. This isnt a one time occurence. Youre gonna run into these people VERY OFTEN. safety rating rules are absolutely stupid as well because you have to deal with Forza MORONS who think they can race …

The Dark Souls of racing sims. 10/10, would buy it again in a heartbeat. First time I fired up a practice session, I get in the car, press the gas and nothing. Turns out you have to manually turn on ignition and push the starter button. Separately. That’s when it dawned on me that this game is not messing around. Game looks insanely good, tracks genuinely feel alive, lighting is amazing making the immersion top …

i like vroom but i dont like the people who ruin the game by perposely crash into people and ruin the race
Summarised from 34 of the 271 public posts collected about this game; every point cites the posts behind it ([n] opens the post) and the split is counted from the posts’ own ratings. Updated Oct 9, 2026. How summaries are made
86% of the 223 Steam reviewers we collected recommend Assetto Corsa Competizione. The complaint that keeps coming up: toxic multiplayer with intentional crashes. Deal-breaker or nitpick?
Critics, per Wikipedia
According to review aggregator website Metacritic, the PC and PlayStation 5 versions received "generally favorable reviews", while the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One versions received "generally mixed reviews". IGN praised Assetto Corsa Competizione for its realistic GT3 racing simulation, improved AI, dynamic weather, detailed car handling, and immersive audio design. However, IGN's review of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions, including testing on the Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro, criticised their technical performance, noting that despite running at 30 frames per second, the game suffered from inconsistent frame pacing, occasional freezes, and significant frame rate drops in…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've sunk approximately 1400 hours into Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC) and was hooked from the start – it was the best GT3 sim out there! The physics felt connected, the Force Feedback (FFB) gave you that real wheel and car feel, like you were actually on track. But every patch made it worse: Cars feel more disconnected, FFB is numb and mushy, like steering through cotton wool. Especially after the v1.9 update, countless players (and pros) complain about reduced grip, hypersensitive tires,…

Something that's reasonable to play for 2-5 minutes or for over an hour. My current go-to is Alto's adventure or doing laps in Assetto Corsa Competizione.
positive · AI labelView post →Bought this game when I only had plans to build a sim rig. By the time I finally built it, the devs had already abandoned this game and moved on to AC EVO. And in AC EVO, they pulled another awesome trick: abandoning the promised career mode and economy (and probably free roam too). At least they're consistent with their business strategy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the forced feedback, I can feel the tires better. I raced cars for years professionally winning national titles. I had `120 trophies after six years when i stopped. I can feel the tires when they start losing grip better then other programs. I however do not like the lack of detailed information regarding the setup of a car. Even though I understand it, 98% do not. There needs to be a detailed 3d graphic with written notes explaining dampers, aerodynamics, anti roll bars, the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rating: 10/10 — A must-buy for motorsport fans and serious simulation enthusiasts. And here is my conclusion, after playing for 141 hours. The game looks stunning, especially with good settings. The tracks look "alive," and performance, especially after all the updates, has become very stable. Physics and car feel: This is the main highlight. The cars have weight, they roll, slide, and brake exactly as you'd expect from a multi-ton racing beast. The tire is a separate character. Its…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Maybe years ago was good, but now days is become a really bad game, full of people who cannot drive and just join races to kill others cars and than leave.. sorry ACC, was a good time long time ago.. now just one thing uninstall. Advice to parents who make them kid play this multiplayer.. DO NOT! keep them in offline racing. To note, a lot of people who play with joypad etc, and crash on purpose to others who may drive DD wheels, you risk making people get injured.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →On 90% sale it's pretty fine, you get to drive a few cars on a few tracks. And that's the entire game. Just like in the first Assetto Corsa all the content is DLC, but this time it's expensive even during big sales. Of course the driving is good and the graphics don't suck anymore. But there is basically no content and the publishers are genuinely israeli level evil for pricing it like that.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best racing sim out there (IMO, out of ACC, AC Evo and LMU) If you've ever played FH4/5 and caught yourself thinking "I wish I could learn real track layouts and get better at racing and not get rammed while at it", - this is a game for you. Pros: - cars feel great - FFB - great with controller or a wheel - you can adjust ABS and TC for every car on the fly, which essentially lets you adjust the difficulty - graphics are pretty good for a simulator - great tracks, even more if you count DLCs…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is just special. Maybe you have heard of Assetto Corsa as its the most well known racing game in the community, but this game isn't exactly the same. It has a lot more effort to tyre physics and realism, and generally it is a bit more advanced compared to Assetto Corsa itself (non modded). But it also has some sacrifice. This game is GT2, 3, 4 only and IT DOES NOT SUPPORT MODS!!! If you are a casual player that wants to try everything, this game isn't as recommended unless you are so…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Favourite racing game is always highly dependent on what I am looking for. **Forza Motorsport 4** (Not Horizon) was one of the best racing simcades i've enjoyed playing, it has solid sim-ish racing and it is very satisfying to build up a garage and take a car for a spin on some of the gorgeous original or real life racetracks. Unfortunately, it's an xbox 360 exclusive and not backwards compatible on xbox one or series x, so not really playable on current systems. I am stll looking for a…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had recommended this game to a friend of mine, who prior to trying the game was very hesitant and shy about the idea of inconveniencing others under a race, navigating around traffic or causing a minor collision. Now he is a 100 hours in and has since developed into a aggressive, erratic, hyper-competitive sociopath with abusive tendencies, who has since divorced his wife, and cut ties with friends and family. Now he spends his days obsessing over setups, lap times and the perfect way to…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Seems to be a very nice game BUT (and thats a big one) - no cloud saves. Because I'm constantly switching between 3 PCs (Steam Deck, etc.) thats a feature I dont want miss. So sadly ACC seems no option for me dispite all the greatness of the game :(
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played LMU before ACC and spent approximately 200 hours in it. The handling of the Hypercars is pretty good, but the GT3 cars don't feel as good in LMU. On the other hand, the handling of GT3 cars in ACC is absolutely better than in LMU. GT3 cars feel very realistic in ACC. Since I enjoy driving GT3 cars more, I prefer ACC.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, I'm a retired iracing player and acc is just better, in just 3 days or so I got a 71 SA and its still going up. The rating system is so so much better than iracing esp with the hell on earth that is the rookie licsence. Good livery design software. My only problem is that the setup screen is too complicated and detailed which is just an issue on my side and I hope I will understand car setups better in the future. Great car handling but could be improved on the multiplayer side. But…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun racing game. I think this is the best simulation game for GT3 cars. I have played many of the big name racing sims and ACC has been in my top 3 for many years. I started out playing on a controller on PS4 and moved to wheel and pedals then to PC with wheel and pedals and whats been nice is i have always had fun. The biggest downside is after so many years the track selection is still smaller then I had hoped it would end up. Still for any road race fan this game is a must try at some…

neutral · AI labelView post →The game runs great and is really fun to play, it works on Linux Bazzite by the way with no issues loading into the game, no crashes or lack of FFB, I'm using an 11nm wheel and load cell pedals and everything is dialed in and works great, the only gripe I have with the game is the AI invincibilty , it's the same as in the first game, they literally are unstoppable and the laws of physics are not applied to them as they are to you, for example, I tried a perfectly implemented pit maneuver on an…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Coming back to this game after playing LMU made me realize just how good ACC is. The sound design is off the charts. Going from LMU to ACC driving the same GT3 Lexus RC F... it sounded SO MUCH BETTER in ACC. Online racing is way easier to get into, and faster. Faster loading, less bugs, great driving model and physics. This game is the ultimate GT racing sim and I love it. Only big downside is that VR support is dogwater. The visuals are very blurry even at upscaled resolutions on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love acc, the graphics are crazy good. The online racers are crazy with people who dont know how to drive, such as taking out somone at turn 1 at Monza. But besides that I think its a great game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the two games modern DLSS showed up in (Forza 8 and AC Evo) have more-or-less been abandoned by their target audiences. Assetto Corsa Competizione has the upscaling kind I guess but that's a UE4 game, so its VR mode is dogshit
negative · AI labelView post →Very great and fun simracing game, but 50% of players should never drive a car in their life
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Eight straight hours of playing yesterday and it's honestly the best racing game I've ever played. The physics, the car feel, the sound, the tyre behavior... everything hits exactly the way it should. The only thing that drags the experience down are the open lobbies full of people who have no clue how to race. Late braking is cool until they use your rear bumper as the braking marker. Because of them, grinding safety rating is a bit of a pain in the ass. But the game itself? Absolute top…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is nearly perfect! IMHO JUST lacks their own organized events like LFM provides. If LFM was made official, it would make this game unstoppable and impossible to beat!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ACC is still the best sim in the market. Especially after DLSS 4.5 released, graphics are insane. Use DLSS Tweaker, make settings to DLAA and use letter 'M'.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is great simulation, i was playing with controller and it was rly nice. Be careful when choosing career mode. Career has some 12 hours races which are too long for me. Player is able to save progress and exit game anytime also comeback later and continue game. In carrer mode not all tracks and cars are available. Better idea is to go for custom championship and choose 10 minute races, it is good for start. Pit mechanics, refueling, pit speed limiters, choosing drivers and some options like…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game seems to have real physics as far as steering wheel feedback and controls, All the cars seem to handle very well. However, there should be a advance setting for adjust the various controls on sim wheels.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is really good in sim racing, the race tracks are perfect and this is the closest thing to real life driving game I have played and my driving skill irl have some improvements.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is one of the most realistic GT focused car game ive ever seen, the handling is just perfect, it works well on lower end hardware while looking amazing, you dont need to worry about bad optimization as well. the car selection is great also definetly reccomend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is really easy to join Multiplayer compaired to F1 2025, I highly reccomended this game even if you dont have a wheel.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unbelievably hard at first with absolutely no tutorials, what I suggest is watch some youtube on this cause it makes it really hard to get into this, although once you start getting the hang of controlling the car on corners it become increasingly fun. Definitely play this on wheel cause controller is way harder, also career needs an update and an added tutorial. Other than that i absolutely recommend this game.

neutral · AI labelView post →This game is the best thing to happen to PC racing simulators and right now she desperately needs support. It doesn’t matter to her where you’ve come from or what you’ve brought with you; she’ll either make you a pilot or spit you out without even noticing. Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC) is, in many ways, a peculiar game – perhaps the most controversial of the major racing simulators. It is a meticulously recreated world of the GT World Challenge, and this is what sets it apart from other…
