Another case of abandonware. "Actively working on it". No updates since June. Update March 11: It's sad to see developers having problems they have no control over. Sounds like game needs a lot more work judging by all the rewrites happening according the the last dev's update. I still can't recommend game in it's current state - too little content. Vote with your money.

Game is a lot of fun and has a lot of promise, but it looks like the developer has abandoned it. There is no communication, no updates, nothing. They seem to have time to plea for nominations for awards, but not 5 minutes to say "Hey still working on things, almost done". We are well past the time they promised the next update, yet no communication. I don't expect daily updates, but once a month is not too much to …

Do you like Subnautica? Do you remember when Subnautica as in early access, and all the negative nellies had complaints? I love Subnautica. I also played it in early access - story incomplete, bugs here and there, empty world areas, etc... This gives me the exact same vibes. A game with huge potential. It runs nice and smooth so far, it looks and feels gorgeous (the movement system is really well tuned, I LOVE …

Astrometica isn’t just good. It’s absolutely brilliant. It made me feel things I hadn’t felt in a long time. The soundtrack transports you somewhere far, far away and gives the game a truly special atmosphere. The game captures that sense of the unknown perfectly. You never quite know what you might have missed, and even when retracing the same routes, you keep discovering new things time and time again. The enemies …

I actually really enjoyed what is here so far. It scratches that Subnautica itch. Tons of blueprints, lots to explore, good setup for the story. I look forward to seeing where they take this. My only critique would be a bit more guidance within the game. The logs are good and waypoints pop up, but it can be a little confusing to figure out where to go next. All in all, I would defintely give this a go!

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It’s been over a year, and there hasn’t been any substantial progress in terms of content or core gameplay. Is Astrometica still actively being developed, or has development effectively stalled?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While the early access portion of this game was fun, the inconsistent update frequency has me concerned we will never see a full release. I can't recommend a game that I don't believe will make it to release.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's nice to have games without all the violence. I'm so tired of violence. There's enough of that on the news, tv, and movies. I love the exploration, story, and base building. Fantastic game for seniors. Yes, some of us still game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →way to many bugs, progression is lost when you forget to save example when you scan an item, if you forget to save or you are kicked from the game due to an error, you loose the ability to go back to the last save and rescan, the object is no longer there to scan, i lost the seeker and the charging station for the seeker and summon vehicle and the summon station have to restart from scratch, have tried 6 times and just keep having bad luck with this game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →UPDATE 3: What you see on a store page IS NOT WHAT YOU GET if you buy the game. Not even close. "New horizons update" exists only as a promises from developers for the last 12 months. Not even as beta. UPDATE 2: Game is dead. Last update July 30, 2025 UPDATE: Finally, bug damaged the save, key items disappeared. According to the discussion this is a common problem. ---------- Not good, yet (?). Mix of subnautica and breathedge, sometimes copy-paste is very noticeable. UI for inventory and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really love this game but unfortunately, it is stagnate and there have been no significant updates in quite sometime. The Developers have put out a statement explaining much of it having to do with the unrest in Iran and lack of internet, where much of the team is located. But I have also seen many of the updates they are planning. And it all looks amazing! However, until the time they are able and capable of pushing through this massive update, I would not waste your time in buying the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would have recommended the game before the update, but not anymore. The devs have screwed up the balance. Now you have just enough carbon to make the main tool and a few batteries. If you screw up, you can`t find carbon anymore. There seems to be a lot of it near the vertical pod, but it all disappears when you get closer. And if you lose your batteries in the vertical pod, forget about getting them back without weapons, which you don`t have in the beginning of the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was fun, but its been dead for awhile, not update from the dev's unless im a little blind, but lord there's just nothing, save your money
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Everyone downplaying the game may not have read the Discord (it's linked in the game), and they double post in https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/2353250/view/496096421162781081. The developer, while posting about a release later last year, said there have been delays due to conflict in the Middle East where some of the graphic artists have been working - and continued working offline; plus they're advertising for experienced developers to help knock down the TODO list. The "Not…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Feels lika a good mix of subnautica and breathedge but still on a lower level yet with it's own kind of charme. Hope development will continue since I had a lot of fun with this cozy game! Edit: Damn... only an hour after writing this as positive review, my savegame got corrupted. Cannot use vehicles or tools anymore. Only thing that helps is creating a new game. Please fix this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately this game is fun. But you'll never know because your save file will break and the only option is to start over. Na.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cash crab feels like, devs just stopping working on it despite many promises, over an entire year since any update
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fantastic start but seems completely abandoned.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunate, but it seems the dev has abandoned this game and us.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I put no, because it needs some fixes. Bad. I like subnautica, so I like this. I like the space environment. The power issues at the beginning are just so damn time consuming it's rough. The second are is so dark you can't see, and your vehicles have no lights. I don't understand why I'm going places and doing what I'm doing? I don't understand where to go next. I also don't read the in game versions of skyrim lore novels. I skim and get the gist, but it doesn't explain wtf I am doing.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I appreciate the recent news update to the game and understand issues that might have gotten in the way, but there's got to be some little things that could have been patched here and there over the last year. It's been over 1 year since a patch. If they've been working on the game, they are ruining their own reputation by not at least providing regular news updates on Steam (not Discord), and bug fixes here and there. This game has a lot of potential, unfortunately I'm not certain about the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can't really recommend this game as it is currently, unless you're the type of person that doesn't mind getting rough Early Access games because the price is lower and bank on them becoming a fully realized experience in the end. I found it on sale for less than $3 and have been keeping track of it through it's Kickstarter phase and whatnot, so figured I might as well grab it at that price. There's a decent foundation and idea here shaping up to be very similar to Breathedge (if you happened…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've really enjoyed this game. It has a definite Subnautica feel but different enough to be intriguing. I hate to give this rating, but I've lost valuable one of a kind items three times now on save failures. When they can get this game out of Early Access and fix the brick-wall bugs I will gladly pick up and play again. Edit: my last death spawned me inside of an asteroid. I've given up.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Space survival game, Astrometica, got a new update that fixed up an issue with the #SteamDeck while adding in Christmas-themed content: steamdeckhq.com/astrometica-...
neutral · AI labelView post →Astrometica is a space survival and crafting game set in an asteroid-strewn sector of deep space. The story skips complex setups: you wake up stranded in the void after an orbital disaster, wondering what the hell just happened?, and must gather scrap, manage life support, and build an orbital outpost to survive. Fact: The core loop relies heavily on the "craft oxygen tanks, mine asteroids, build base, repeat" mechanic - meaning if you've played Breathedge or Subnautica, every tool step and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Subnautica in space. Less pretty, less things to do, less open, more restrictive to a given scenario path. Just get yourself Subnautica.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well done for hanging in there. Your situation has been really tough. Excellent game that has huge potential.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Edit: (The video that plays on the store page turns out to be a new video outlining whats coming for the game in the near future) K...so...... This is a great little survival crafter, but: First off, just so you know the game looks nothing like the video. There's no giant domes, No "animation" from the hexagonal bubbles when you enter, NINETY percent of the structures and wreckage you see in the video are in the game (so far), No gun...I have yet to find a gun at all, no large corporate style…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is one of the reasons I no longer support Early Access games to many are abandoned and its looking like this has been abandoned I am disappointed as this game have been an amazing product
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The lack of originality in this title is apalling and shameful. I was so excited to play this title after reading the first couple of reviews with people saying its like Subnautica and Breathedge had a baby. I love both games and finished them both multiple times. ***Warning, Spoiler Alert*** This game is not a baby, its a top and bottom half replica of the two games. 90% of the concepts and even models in the game come straight from Subnautica... How do you get blueprints? Use a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Stay away. Game has been long abandoned. There's never been any major updates, only small fixes here and there. And the last one was July 2025. Has a cool premise. I enjoyed the few hours in that exist, but for some reason, devs gave up on it. If they don't care about their game, neither should you.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game has not received an update in well over a year. The devs promised an update in November 2025 and we received nothing. Now They are using the conflict in the middle east as a way to still not deliver any updates to the game. At the rate this game is being developed it may be complete in 2035 or beyond but I hope not. Until the devs actually stop making excuses this is a game That I cannot recommend at this time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While it seems like a fun game, it appears to be abandoned with no recent updates and stuck in EA. Could be a good game if the Devs come back and start updating it again, but for now id recommend avoiding this game!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would have refunded it, but accidentaly left it running after the first hour of gameplay. The game resembles subnautica both in good and bad ways. The movement is a bit clunky and the control scheme is a bit weird, it simply dumps the control mapping at start and hopefully you remember that use is left mouse button vs e or f in most games. had they copied the onscreen hints would be nice. Transition from space to inside is weird. Worst offender is autosave, where is it?? every game should…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →if you 're okay with early access games and like Subnautica style building along with space exploration, this is the game for you. there are still some strange bugs in the building system but i believe they get resolved in later updates. I relate this game to a Subnautica in space. The advancing concept is basically the same. if you like complete games with a full story line and ending, they you should wait for the game to be completed.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →if you've played subnautica and planet crafter this game will be right up your alley. It seems stale atm but well good game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Abandonware, more than a year witohout update. AVOID
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No update since last year.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I first bought and started playing this, I thought it had potential, but that feeling was lost fairly quickly, there doesnt seem to be any real direction with the game, it has elements of a production line type games, yet doesnt commit to it, there seems to be no real objective to the game, no real story and to make matters worse, you spend more time flying/driving around aimlessly looking for blueprint boxes, which are mostly pointless, or resources, some of which have very little visual…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Learned that Astrometica shoved GenAI garbage into their game 'for use with in-game posters'. Immediately removed from my wishlist, really disappointed by this. I want more space games, but it seems like they're all infected with the GenAI virus.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Looks like it has been abandoned. I must stop buying into early access games.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a space exploration , crafting and puzzle solving , adventure game . the SOLO developer is doing the best they can to juggle making the game and keeping fans of the game up to date on what's happening . SO if there's radio silence now and then , don't freak out .
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →poor survival design, dev should sell it to a more competent developer
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →AI SLOP!!! Was super into it pretty much subnautica in space But i would no longer recommend due to the use of AI images that are clearly rip offs of other game such as cyberpunk 2077 and no man's sky
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoy the base building, and exploration aspect of the game. Death is not overly punishing, and combat is not hard, probably the least emphasized part of the game, which is to say, it doesn't stress me out. The new version (2.0?) will be out summer of 2026, and is will be a complete rebuild from what I gather on discord.

The promised update never came and the devs are silent (no word on steam or discord) current game is worth on sale but dont expect any updates.... devs: please prove me wrong
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic start to a solid survival crafting game! Would love to see Multiplayer implemented in the full release, but otherwise, keep up the good work!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the game, wish it was just a bit more compatible for the steam deck, but I was able to manage to make it work. Every time I save the game my character gets frozen in place. Sometimes I have to open the keyboard screen to perform tasks like wake up from sleep. I hope they keep adding more to the game and continue to update it. The game has a decent story line to go along with it, the music is great, and so is the scenery!
