Game has severe a bug that erases your game system settings. The effect of this is that unlocked items like costumes get reset and locked and you cannot get the back. This also blocks you from achieving the true ending as that requires replaying this game with a special flag set during first clear and this also will reset. As usual, KT is dead silent so maybe when Arland DX Mega Uber 16xHD, comes out in 20 years …

My favorite one in the franchise. Super fun, more RPG focused than the rest. It has some issues that need to be patched out, but neither will ruin your experience. Perfect game to start with if you're interested in the series.

This just might be the best game in the Atelier series. Combat's good, alchemy is great and pretty well explained, music is superb, story and characters are right up there with Arland. Assignments with time limits do a good job of giving you direction, but don't really put much deadline pressure on you even when going for all the optional stuff. The only thing I can really think to criticize is the localization. …

Although Escha & Logy isn't my first brush with the Atelier series (my previous attempts ending in complete disaster and disappointment), I would consider it my entry point as it's the first game I stick with for a few reasons, chief among them being the fact that I'm at a stage in my life where I can appreciate games with a slower pace and a character-focused plot that lacks an epic overarching narrative. Video review for trilogy: https://youtu.be/wic4Yv9SPNE Written version below! This is my review for the Dusk Trilogy as a package. I posted to all 3 store pages, but the review itself is identical. I will post a full review for each game individually as I complete them. So for those that aren't that familiar with it, the Atelier franchise is a JRPG series largely focused on exploration, gathering, combat, and crafting. The stories are usually laid-back and include a bunch of slice of life…

Always choose Logy first. Atelier Escha and Logy is the 2nd Atelier game in the Dusk series. But honestly speaking, you don't need to play Atelier Ayesha before playing this (especially if you want to play as Logy). This game introduced me to the Atelier series and had lots of fun playing it.

Regardless of how good or bad the game is, this port is too bad. -Your system data gets randomly "deleted". Essentially means, all your global progress, like unlocking costumes, filling the extra mode with images and so on, will NOT work on the long run. This is a critical and known error where I have no idea how this gets so completely ignored. -Vsync is broken. If you tab out of fullscreen, the game goes max fps. If you are in fullscreen, the game struggles actually keeping constant fps and…

I think Dusk is peak Atelier for me. I know this particular style of Atelier, with the time management aspect, will never return, so nowadays I appreciate and love the entries like Sophie 2 and Resleriana as they are the next best thing. But there's something about the Ateliers from this era here that nothing else provides, for me. Escha & Logy DX is a beautiful game that aged gracefully, I really like the characters models and textures, really pretty and expressive. The scenery is simple…

The Atelier series before the Mysterious games are more of a mystery to most people, and there's some reasons for that, namely the existence of time limits and the lack of various quality of life features. After playing through Escha & Logy, which was my first time with a pre-Mysterious game, I can say this: Your first Atelier experience should be with Mysterious or Ryza since the streamlined features and mechanics make the barrier to entry much less rough than the older games. However, if…

A great follow-up to Atelier Ayesha! The synthesis system is even more involved and the two alchemists being there means that a barrage of items and things you can use in combat follows! Especially considering the double draw mechanic! Big numbers! Cast is nice, music is nice! Surprisingly interesting optional boss fights and dungeons. Would recommend!

I enjoyed the dynamics of the alchemists pair in this game. I completed both routes, although I must admit that I enjoyed Escha's route the most. The character events are enjoyable, albeit I find them somewhat… lacking. Perhaps the rather spotty localisation didn't really make a strong case of it either. Hidari's artwork is still godly, though. And the soundtrack has quite a few bangers in there as well. There are several haunting tracks, including the ED, that I feel quite fitting for the…

Especially Wilbell, she's so cute~ The Alchemy was simple yet fun as well as the turn-based combat. The bond between Escha & Logy was lovely. I enjoyed this comfy slice-of-life adventure with them.

The levels of character growth are beyond words! Although this title does feature time limits, if you stick to your tasks, you will most likely be left with plenty of spare time to grind and explore the second entry of the Dusk Trilogy. The character growth, as I stated above, had me in tears at a point or two because of how easily I get attached to stories. Atelier Escha & Logy: My first impressions were of a generic anime game with little to grip onto.. but it sucked me in and didn't let go until I played through it 3 times for over 100 hours of play. Alchemy is akin to a TCG, a strong RPG endgame, and the central love story has believable chemistry

True happiness can only be achieved by using government capital to fund your sweets addiction. Probably the best Atelier game in part because the dual protagonists are both interesting and have a great dynamic. The monthly system was weird at first but grew on me over time. The map is pretty weak compared to earlier Atelier games but works well enough within the time system.

Together, they will be working to complete several assignments as they investigate the nearby areas of Colseit. This game was a massive blast to first time through. The opening alone got me so hyped. Another solid entry into the Atelier franchise. The pacing was excellent, both with quest progressing, unlocking better materials, and experience. I hadnt realized this game did the whole 'quest bingo card' thing before Rorona did. Personally I really liked 2 of the new characters, and one of the returning characters, the rest were okay or not good. The environments are pretty, and the boss fights are fun. This is the 2nd Dusk game in the Dusk trilogy, which I played this just after Ayesha. This one has a better "Dusk" theme IMO. I kind of dig the government job setup going on, managing expenses (Don't worry it is restocking, nothing hard) and getting points based on how you do your job. You also get cute homunculus co-workers. I found this game to be on the easier side for 100% the story, which you will have to do 2 play-throughs, because there is one town and everyone is there. I had a blast playing this. I've had the Atelier series on my "To-Play" list for a while now, but I've generally looked over most of them as I love the premise of the games, but I wanted more commitment to romance rather than just "bait," and this one seems to do a good job at going through with it. There is no story, it's like a slice-of-life thing, there is really no exploration nor RPG elements to speak of, the combat becomes super easy very quickly to the point that it's basically pointless, you can't really farm anything or play around with the alchemy system because of the way the timing system works, it's just all-around kind of boring. Introduction As a fan of the series, I decided to write reviews for the Atelier games. I tried to make them in a way that newcomers and maybe even fellow fans who're looking for the next installment find out something about it. About Atelier This is a classic JRPG franchise, meaning it has turn based battles where you have to select from a list what will your characters do in their turn. 131 hours later and I am done (for now) with 100 Line: Last Defense Academy. Hit the true ending (or at least what most consider the true ending) and I'm satisfied with what I've played. An absolutely incredible, unique, and flawed game. Next up I think we're going to finish Atelier Escha & Logy.

Definitely better than Ayesha, with multiple QOL stuff added, like having all consumable items replenish when you get back to Colseit, and you aren't forced to defeat every super boss to get every achievement. Also, Willbell is back, and she is the BEST character from Ayesha, and you can't convince me otherwise.

Just like with most Ateliers, E&L is a laid-back jrpg with a focus on crafting and gathering. It has a strong "autumn" feel to it, with muted colors and pensive overall mood, but even in this bleak setting you end up chilling with the characteres and appreciating the beauty of their world and life. Alongside great artstyle, good ost and engaging gameplay loop, this is a great…

Playing some Atelier Escha & Logy while I take a breakfast break. Great for short burst, this game. Wilbell and Katla have joined. The combat is getting good.

Got hard walled by the 2nd to last boss, rest of the game was easy. It debuffed my whole team then took 6 turns in a row while healing.
