What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 33 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (128 of 133 positive).
Players praise the game's cyberpunk atmosphere and retro aesthetic. [1][2][3] Many note it is very short, with playtime around 1-2 hours. [1][4][5] Some find the story predictable and lacking depth. [6][7]

This game is 2 hours of trivial point-and-click adventure with no non-obvious riddles or surprises. The story is as flat as the art style is deliberately bad. Not recommended, play Technobabylon instead.

Alright. Au Revoir is done and dusted. This is a very old school looking pixelated Point & Click adventure featuring a Cyberpunk aesthetic and story with a splash of humor mixed in. It's not a particularly long game, but it does have a high coolness factor to it. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3524899560 You play as Tristan, a Sentinel. The soundtrack is crazy, has the exactly sci-fi noir vibe it needs, the perfect atmosphere to make you feel immersed in the neon lights, drizzle, and grime of the night. The voice acting did an exceptional job. The plot is also good but nothing groundbreaking, basically it's a child of Blade Runner with Altered Carbon, yet it found the sweet spot to keep you hooked, enough so you want to make all the finales. For …

Au Revoir is an old-school point-and-click adventure with pixel art, and it wears its inspiration very clearly on its sleeve. The game is heavily inspired by Westwood Studios’ Blade Runner—to the point where the sense of déjà-vu is constant and sometimes "uncomfortable". In a few moments, the similarities in visual and audio design are so strong that you may legitimately wonder whether this goes beyond homage and …

I love the atmosphere—it's heavily inspired by the noir world of Blade Runner, with a touch of Johnny Mnemonic and the charm of '90s 3D adventure games. However, it's short and linear, offering about 1 to 1.5 hours of playtime if you don’t aim to see every ending. There are multiple endings, but fortunately (or unfortunately), each one can be reached from the last save point. That adds roughly another hour to …

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Todays game is What a Cowboy, hosted by @glenbrookgames.bsky.social in order to say Au Revoir to our good friend Mark Emms, he's moving to Aberdeen, which is a hell of a commute to Cardiff 😳😂
neutral · AI labelView post →Au Revoir Dolly David Johansen. Truly sad news. The New York Dolls had it all except they were too ahead of the game. David's death marks the passing of an era. 💔💄💋✨

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My copy was provided by the devs* I have a few small suggestions for you guys, and if you can address them, I think the game will feel a lot better overall. So with the soundtrack, I feel like you trying to contrast the ambient noise with the music depending on the scene, for example, you don't have music in most of the areas, unless there is a music source like the nightclub in the distance or a tune from the theme park (with exception of a few rooms where you randomly have music). Now, I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'd rather give a neutral rating. Overall, it's not a bad game, but there are issues. I play a lot of indie games that are meant to have this kind of retro look, but this was just very blurry in a lot of places. You can't set your resolution to anything higher than 1080 either. The entire story flows the same (no choices) until the last few minutes of the game, which is an easy way to find all of the endings and didn't bother me, but just be aware you will be on rails. The biggest issue for me…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a game over screen i always think about is from the zx spectrum game Go to Hell (the one illegally tracing over the cover of 'alice cooper goes to hell') the intro text is 'AU REVOIR OR IS IT GOODBYE?' losing the game brings up the text 'IT'S GOODBYE'

PS1 style graphics, futuristic cyberpunk aesthetic, solid story with 5 possible endings. Cool game. @polykillpodcast.bsky.social
positive · AI labelView post →Au Revoir is an homage to old 3D point-and-click games while offering a terrifying glimpse into the future if Elon Musk's Neuralink actually worked. Jokes aside, this game gives me vibes I haven't felt since playing Grim Fandango which is one of my favorite point-and-click games. You control Tristan who collects the synthetic brains of rich folk who have enough money to afford it then upload their consciousness into a new body and host. The game does a great job of illustrating the rather…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It looks pretty. That's it. You can speed run this in an hour or less. The story is boring and predictable. It looks good, but is far too short to develop any emotional investment in anyone including the player character. There are many "steps" that are just filler meant to draw out your time, e.g. going to apartments 42 and 13. Visually this is amazing and beautiful, 10/10, but there's nothing underneath, nothing to draw you in and nothing to come back for a second or more playthrough. It's…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is a short cheap cyberpunk adventure game that will give you a little entertainment but one that will leave you wanting for more. The puzzles are mostly simple and the interactions with the game world are very limited.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're looking for a low poly cyber punk adventure game, look no further. Au Revoir is solid, short, and really nails the vibes. I get weary towards point and clicks cause of bad EXPs pixel hunting, waiting on characters to traverse the screen idly, and moon logic puzzles... thankfully this game has none of that guff. Points of interest highlight when you hover over them, movement is generally good, and the puzzles are very grounded. Puzzles do take some thinking. You really gotta pay…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short but sweet, somewhat amateurish Portuegese Blade Runner 1997 clone. It touches on all the same themes using chunky, 1993 visuals instead of 1997 voxel models on 2D backgrounds, and while that works, I can't help but miss the English voiceovers. The story touches all the same cornerstones you expect from classic Blade Runner tribute fiction. It's fun, short, and entertaining, I can't ask for much more.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i'll add any game that looks even remotely interesting to my wishlist while knowing i won't ever actually play them all, so getting those sale notifications for games i don't even remember is so funny hhhh. HOLE Au Revoir
neutral · AI labelView post →Interesting story. Short game, but I think it works in its favor. I wish when you got the teddy bear achievement, it revealed a little more of the character's backstory: like, he was seen them because he had a child or something.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Glad @invisiblestudio.bsky.social asked me to check out their new game 'Au Revoir'. Might have completely missed this awesome piece of work otherwise. If you enjoy the cyber punk and retro game aesthetics, this game is a treat! store.steampowered.com/app/3079600/...
positive · AI labelView post →A short adventure game set in a world reminiscent of Blade Runner. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3744056673 We play as Tristan who works as a Sentinel for Au Revoir, a company that revolutionized the world and our relationship with death by inventing the synthetic brain, a brain capable of storing a person's consciousness and memories. Our job as a sentinel is to retrieve the consciousness and memories from a synthetic brain after its carrier dies, before uploading…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Interesting story, fun puzzles, easy navigation. I kind of wish there had been more to it! 5/5
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really nice point & click game. Good story. Worth the price for sure.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i'm not even half way through the game, but i couldn't wait to cast in my thumbs up. if not anything else, the 90's style visuals would get me to try this game. i have too many good memories from quite a few point'n click masterpieces with similar style, "the moment of silence" and "blade runner" to name just two other cyberpunk titles. puzzles are on the easier side here so far, though the sewer puzzle was fun to solve. it seems to revolve mostly around inventory puzzles, hardly a surprise for…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Atmospheric and well crafted but very very short
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a decent little point and click game. My favorite part about it was the PS1 styled cyberpunk aesthetic. Loved the graphics! It's pretty atmospheric, with nice environmental sounds (rain, especially), but like another review mentioned, I wish music was implemented more. I think the weakest part for me was the story. The premise is interesting- you work for a company that uploads people's consciousness to synthetic brains (for a price), but I never got super invested in it. I just didn't…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In writing, you have Novels and Short stories, this is a short story in video game form. In short, Au Revoir is a competent bite-sized Cyberpunk Story with eye catching visuals.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short and beautiful cyberpunk story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good little point n click. Nice setting. Camera sometimes a bit annoying but apart from that it's great.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yep. The puzzles are not that hard, but helps you feel like part of the story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game makes for a pleasant afternoon, but is more reasonably priced at $1 or $2, knowing that there is about 2 hours of content. Loved the art and the story was relatively well fashioned.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Okay. Not great - not terrible
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm gonna be honest; this game stinks. Like, AI stinks... It's clearly stealing the Blade Runner style (film aesthetics and game design philosophy), but replacing Runners taking down Replicants, it's you hunting down digital brains from dead people, and this game just has them lying everywhere to remind you that this is a harsh world. Crazy how advance this world is, but cloud storage and wi-fi never got developed for these digital consciousness. The puzzles are bizarre, and without logic; many…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a neat little point-and-click. The story was engaging and the puzzles weren't difficult to solve. I was especially impressed with the English translation- other than just a couple of words that didn't quite make grammatical sense, I never would have been able to tell it was a translation. I look forward to replaying for the rest of the achievements. :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game gave me old blade runner game vibes, very linear. i think i picked this up for like 6 or 10 bucks at the time, it was on sale. short game but fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Au Revoir was the first game that got sent to the Haunted PS1 Curator group. It's be special to me for that reason alone. But the game is a solid point and click with Blade Runner vibes. It seems they added voice acting since I played it. I should run through it again to see if it adds to the EXP

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Immaculate vibes. Could be better and account for a few more things with dialogue, especially if there are no new options or the path its just a dead end. That being said, very enjoyable short experience, do support the developers since this is a neat little game worth your time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Au Revoir hit me! Got the demo as the worlds setting and game genre is my thing. I purchased the game right after because I liked the gameplay so much. Really like the easy controls and easy/fast entry into the story. Thanks for your work. Will start playing on the weekend. 😍
positive · AI labelView post →Been musing over this for some days: The Rules of the Game 400 Blows Rififi Jules et Jim Ma Nuit Chez Maud Au Revoir les Enfants Romuauld et Juliette Three Colours Blue Conte d'Automne Portrait of a Lady on Fire
neutral · AI labelView post →Decent SF Noir story, albeit nothing groundbreaking. I like the art style, and even the "cinematic" camera angles didn't bother me too much here. Pretty short and also rather straightforward, though. I'd hoped for a little more investigation. Still, for the asking price it's a solid offer. Rating: ★★★☆☆
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's pretty great - short, atmospheric Cyberpunk adventure game, with lovely retro art. Really enjoyed it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decided to move to a better machine instead of my potato laptop and was able to get past the in-game video game, which caused me problems in the original review. I do wish there was a "meh" recommendation on steam because of the problems mentioned below and it is a bit short - but on the whole I enjoyed it enough to try for the different endings and I will replay for at least one of the missing achievements but not all. You are Tristan, who is a sentinel responsible for retrieving memories,…
