What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 182 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Mostly Positive (1,103 of 1,476 positive).
Some reviewers note the game is short and repetitive, with a main story that can be completed in about two hours. [1][2][3] A few players criticize the game for being more of a casual children's story than a true simulator. [4][5][6]

While the premise is clever and the graphics and world design are pristine for such a small project/studio, the game is lacking (to say the least) in gameplay features, delivering barely anything worth doing. The main story is so damn short and uninteresting and the rest of the game barely has anything to offer other than eye candy inside its gigantic open world. So big in fact that it's impossible to go anywhere …

I will say that the game is clearly made by people who care. It includes a lot of bee facts and is meant to inspire people to try to make a difference. HOWEVER, the execution for a good deal of the mechanics in the game are off and could have been done better. I'll start with the bee "racing". It took me almost 30 god **** minutes to beat the stupid race in the main story... I have played asseto corsa for 500 hours …

Hello friends, Today i will review the game BEE SIMULATOR. This game can be considered a Edutainment type of game. It teaches you about bee's and the decline of them, which is a real thing happening in the world right now, and how to help the bee population. There are even a glossary dedicated to telling players how to help the current bee population and how to protect them to keep them doing their job pollinating …

Surprisingly cozy and relaxing game that lets you experience the world through the eyes of a bee. Flying feels smooth, the environments are colorful and charming, and the overall atmosphere makes it perfect for unwinding after more intense games. Pretty good anti-depresant (I realized this in 2024). The game isn't without flaws — some missions can feel repetitive and the gameplay lacks depth at times — but as a …

It's more of an educational game than anything else. The story itself is very short, maybe 2 hours long. The other challenges and collectibles will keep you busy for 5-6 more hours. So bear in that mind when deciding on this game

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game it's like in the trailer even do i didn't expect it to be.It has open world so you can always explore,it also had side, main and unnecessarily quests, that are marked with different colors and you can do almost what you want,so I will normally recommend this and give it a 8/10.If you are passionate of this kind of games this one is worth a try.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you suffer from any type of motion sickness do NOT get this game. It is such a shame but the game is just not playable. Make me throw up after 5 minutes of flying around.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bee Simulator is a cozy and funny game that lets you experience the world through the eyes of a bee. It shows the important role bees play in nature and the threats they face. The gameplay is easy, and the environments are colorful and pretty. I enjoyed the story a lot and had fun playing! 💛🐝

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm trying to find both positive and negative sides of the game, sadly I cannot recommend it. I'll start from positives. -It's very wholesome that some of the money from the game goes to organisations that help bees -The graphics are decent -Story is heartwarming Negatives: oh boy.. -BUGGY entries in the book. You have to fly around animals for +-1 a minute to get an entry and sometimes it doesnt work at all -I wish there was an online coop option not only split screen -VERY repetitive…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is mediocre at best. There's not much you can do and the main story can be finished in less than 2hrs. Definitely not worth $20, if you get it its best to get this game on sale. I liked the idea of this game but it wasn't executed very well.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's such a easy - going type game, it has so much knowledge that i am now sharing with my daughter and other humans about. 100% recommend to other humans
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think that the game should change its name from "Bee Simulator" to something more like "A Bee Story" because it is not a simulator as most people would understand it. The game is more of a story for children and those kids who are playing this game might learn something about bees and nature in general while getting entertained by the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →treated myself to 3 games that were discounted and only cost $2 on the nintendo eshop right now! • One Night: Burlesque • Bee Simulator • Cattails: WildWood Story fun fact: Cattails (the OG from 2018, not the remake from 2023) was my first game on Twitch! 🩵
neutral · AI labelView post →Not simulator at all! I just wanted to sting somebody and die, but the game keeps you alive so you can keep buzzing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I honestly bought it with the intention of just getting an easy 100% achievement game to add to my list. But, it was a lot of fun! A very fun, family-friendly, game with a ton of facts about bees and all the animals they effect in the ecosystem. If you catch it on sale and you're an animal lover or fan of simulator games, give it a try. It's short and a great experience!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bee Simulator is a really good game where you really feel like being a bee... Explore the nature and flowers, collect some pollen, escape to biggers predators... It's well made and I recommend it!!! 💛🐝🖤
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Money Worth Simulator (got it for 84 penny) Key features Bee facts during loading screens (+ more in-game), Moderate amount of various engaging activities, Rather tough combat episodes Stay calm and keep bee-sy Nice game. Paid less than £1 and honestly didn't expect much from it. Now I have 12hrs. What to do? Lots of flying, obviously. Camera goes 360* and here you are, speeding up to collect pollen, moving rapidly from one flower to another. In between you're tasked to investigate different…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There was a lot of fun games today! I barely scratched the surface of Outer Wilds, Rift Apart was AMAZING, Bee Simulator was super charming, and Metro Gravity had some cool ideas! Thank you all for 4 years ❤️ And thank you @trinity3333.bsky.social for the raid! Sent everyone to @tikri.gay ⭐

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →bees are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bee Simulator is surprisingly fun and offers a unique perspective - you get to explore the world as a bee! While the game does have a few bugs here and there (no pun intended), it's an enjoyable experience overall. The achievements are pretty doable, nothing too grindy, and the story is short if you’re just rushing through it. But if you take your time and explore, there's quite a bit to do. Tip: Adjust your mouse sensitivity right away. The default is super low and makes the game feel clunky…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Has enough positive reviews that I feel comfortable leaving a thumbs-down. It's not a bad game per se, but it's definitely not a deep, serious or complex bee "simulator". It's casual to the point where it feels like a kid's game, with the intent to garner interest and sympathy for honeybees. It does an okay job, but in doing so completely leaves out the massive positive impact many other less known or liked insects have on the world (including bees native to the US, which honeybees are not) and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Flying around as a bee is more relaxing than I expected, and exploring the world from that perspective is surprisingly charming. The gameplay is simple and repetitive, but it's easy to enjoy if you're looking for something casual. Not amazing, but it's a pleasant little game with a unique idea.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can't recommend the game, as I (an several others, if you look at discussions, it also shows that it's an old problem that still isn't solved) can't access the game anymore, it worked fine sometime last year when I got it and played it. I've emailed the developer, which has also gone ignored.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →you can tell a lot of love went into making this game but it got very boring and repetitive way too quickly, the graphics are decent and the controls were a little wacky, won't be playing it again.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute and educational game. Story itself quite short (excluding all the fluff) but very wholesome. Fluff includes fetch quests, combat fights, and racing which gets a little repetitive and boring after a while. Would have been cool if there was a leveling system for upgrades, but unfortunately you can only use your points on cosmetics or journal entries. The combat on hard mode takes a little bit of getting used to otherwise you'll have no idea what you're doing or what's going on, but the…

neutral · AI labelView post →It was an interesting game. There is a lot to do but it gets really repetitive real fast. Some of the achievements are glitchy but there are guides to help you with that. Would be nice if the developers could make some QoL improvements. Full of interesting bee/animal/insect facts and I like the guide on how to help bees in the real world.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would pretty much entirely NOT recommend this game to anyone if you think it's gonna be like most simulators. Maybe it's ok for kids, but this should be a console game on xbox game pass so little kids can play it with a controller and not try and sell it to adults. EXTREMELY corny and a little gay honestly
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very cute game with a lovely story and it is also very informative. Beautiful graphics and easy controls. Beside going through the story, you can also finnish challenges and explore the world. I really love playing this game! 10/10 very recommendable Get Goo Goo Alu!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I did like this game, but be aware; it's short and pretty straightforward. It also seemed to demonize beekeepers, which I felt was odd for a game trying to save the bees.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had really high hopes for the game, sadly it didn't fulfill them. I get that collecting pollen is done in a quick and not realistic at all way so that it's fun for the gameplay, but the world just doesn't feel alive at all. For example, people and animals barely move, if you approach them they don't react, and you can't pop balloons. Why??? There are so many little things that could be added to the game to make it feel more real, more alive. It's sad it seems it'll never happen since the last…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I know a couple Hunt: Showdown players who would do well to have a couple hours on this. I am currently building a simpit for this in my garage.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For 20-30 dollars depending on what platform you buy this game on, it was fun for like the first ten minutes or so. I only kept playing for streaming purposes, but for that price, i felt like i played for ten minutes and the game was over. if you're going to jack the price, make more gameplay for players to enjoy. its fun, just needs to be longer for that price.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really nice and cozy game. The story is a bit short (2 - 3 hours), but I really enjoyed exploring the open world. One thing I didn't expect was that the game is actually a little educational. You can learn some interesting facts about bees while playing, and the voice acting was a nice surprise as well. Is it worth the price? At the current sale price of €3.99, absolutely. I don't think the full €19.99 is worth it though. Personally, the most I'd pay would be around €5.99. Would I recommend…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A game about flying and exploration but the flying is painfully slow. The most intense moment of the story your dash is disabled, taking away any context of urgency.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →idk what i expected
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to love Bee Simulator because I’m a huge fan of educational games and anything focused on wildlife and nature. The concept is genuinely charming and flying around as a bee is fun at first, but the game feels way too short for its price. A lot of the tasks become repetitive very quickly, and overall it feels more like a demo or an early concept than a fully developed game. There’s definitely potential here, I just wish there was more depth, variety, and content to keep it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Missable achievements are forcing me to replay the game… stay away from it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Here I thought I could bee like my hero Barry B. Benson from the Bee Movie. But I can't even cuck a human.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not the bees ! Nicolas Cage.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is so corny, I had no idea it was going to be this corny going into it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite a fun little game. Obviously nothing difficult or challenging, it's a nice game to keep busy or to play between more intense/demanding games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a game about beeing a bee. Cool concept, with a simplistic execution. It features an open world, with very easy challenges and collectables, and the story isn't really that noteworthy. It's far from an S-tier game, but it's satisfying. It's a nice and simple game for relaxation.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Genuinely fun and relaxing. Flight mechanics are very well done. Enjoyable. There is a lot of potential for an improved, second game. I would like to see medium difficulty introduced.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game made me hate bees. The key bindings are garbage. This game made me feel gay. Arguably not hard to do but should give you insight to how this game plays.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game should not be called Simulator, if anything it's just a game where you play as a bee and follow directions/quests. Controller support is completely broken, can't get past the "old bee dance" because 1. Graphics are extremely laggy once you get out the hive, 2. When you hit the buttons they don't register as correct (on keyboard and on controller). I tried giving this game another chance but there's no point, i was expecting a real simulator and instead ended up truly disappointed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bee Simulator is suitable (and fun) for all ages. You'll learn about bees (mainly) and other insects, fly around as a bee in a huge park, explore and collect pollen. A nice, easy and chill game. It's not a totally serious simulator game but more light-hearted and cute which I think works well. There's a main story and lots of side quests, like helping some ants cross the water and other activities/challenges, like fighting wasps, racing, collecting pollen from specific flowers and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, Bee Simulator was a lot cuter and more thought-out than I expected it to be. Going in, I wasn't expecting much from a game called "Bee Simulator", but I actually had a decent time with it. The bee gameplay itself is fine. Flying around, doing the different activities and following the story was pretty chill. The story is cute, although obviously don't expect anything particularly deep. The visuals and sound are alright too, and I really liked the bee's voice. The biggest problem for…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been having an amazing time playing this bee simulator game! It's not only fun and relaxing, but it's also educational. I learned so much about bees, their importance to our environment, and why we should care about protecting them. I also enjoyed learning about how to care for bees and the challenges they face in the real world. I highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys learning something new while having fun. Bees are incredible creatures, and this game does a wonderful job of…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I mean... What is there to say. You play as a Bee. You... collect "Honey", attack hornets. It is nice that it beings more Bee awareness, which Im sure is the point of the game, so that is good.
