I really love this game, but in good conscious, I can't recommend buying it at this point in time. Or as it looks as it is right now, at any point in time in the future. I've been an actual homebrewer for over a decade. I've brewed almost every style recognized by BJCP, create my own recipes, have a microscope with the explicit purpose of counting cells in yeast colonies, have won blue ribbons, etc. I know how to …

I brew beer at home so it was an interesting game for me. I like the game, it's very relaxing at first. But it becomes hard after few chapters. PROS: The game is probably as close to real life as it can be (although some mechanics are simplified - like contamination) I get to brew some beer virtually and even recreate my own real life recipes or learn some new ones. I used to be an internationally-awarded homebrewer. After moving to a different country, I no longer have access to brewing equipment nor enough space in my house to set up some new brewing equipment. I miss brewing tremendously. I am very grateful with Euroch Digital for making a game that is realistic enough to scratch the recipe development and experimentation itch. I have been following the game since before it …

You can't make any proper beer. It's mostly american piss with a few exceptions. Most ingredients are american this/american that and there are literally more sweeteners than kinds of hop. Tons of syrups and only one kind of pils (the american one). If you try to make a different recipe (I tried to make german pils the hachenburger way) you literally can't finish it if it doesn't fit american standards.

After not playing this in quite a while, that fabrication itch just got back, only to find that this has been abandoned and not maintained in the last two years. I remember this game having so much potential but lacking a few features and having some annoying bugs/quirks with how liquid/heat transfer and contamination work. You can definitely still have some fun with this game, but devs that abandon their games with known issues are a big no-no. Auroch Digital can join Keen Software House in…

Abandonware. The publisher made a good game here and had a solid community, but it's buggy, they've completely walked away without even patching the obvious bugs the last update caused, and won't open it for modding so that the players who loved it can fix the problems. In like two months they went from "vote for us for players' choice in the *I forget which game awards* to "we're not ever patching any of the problems our last update created, and we're not taking any further questions, ever.…

Unfortunate case of decent idea ruined by awful dev team. Actively hostile to the community. Refused to fix bugs present on launch, and have decided to no longer support the game (like they ever supported it in the first place lol). Are actively hostile to folks trying to mod to fix said issues. Shame to see potential wasted.

The game has great potential. It's almost finished. But it has one basic bug that makes the whole game unplayable. The bug can be fixed with one line of code and the developer is aware of it. Instead of fixing the bug, they write insolently in a few paragraphs how it's not financially profitable. And that's why they won't fix the simplest basic, always repeatable bug. Don't buy this game or anything else from this creator. They are just the most blatant scam. And they say it officially.

You get bored fast. 📈 Progression & Engagement: There’s no real sense of progress, and the repetitive gameplay makes it hard to stay engaged. I want to enjoy this game, but it just doesn’t do…

I really love the concept of this game, and I've played it for 27.9 hours now. I am a homebrewer and this is the only game I've seen of this kind. However the developers are scam artists and this game needs to be delisted. They took an unfinished game out of EA and didn't provide any updates on it for a year, after a year they popped into the forum to inform us they wouldn't be updating the game and they'd given up on it after a month of release. Steam should stop letting developers like this…

The game started out well, but there are game-breaking bugs that per the developer, as of November 2023, are going to go unfixed as it is no longer "financially viable" to continue development or support of this title. I really wish this one had worked out, but hopefully some other developer will take up the mantle of creating a game like this in the future. It is truly niche, but many "work-sim" games are and many do fine. But this one is abandoned and broken--skip it and save your money.

Only get it with a big discount (75% or more), as the devs have abandoned the game (since Dec-2022). If you are into puzzle games, or a brewer, or interested in how beer is made, this game is for you. If you are impatient, love action, are annoyed by bugs (pumps, chillers, pouring,..), this game is not for you. Cheers!

I have no clue what these drinks are, but the unlockables, the equipment, the procedure, and the final results are actually quite fun. Fun and unique simulator game that is sadly unrealized in its current state. As many others in the community have noted, the developers appear to have abandoned the game and are no longer planning or releasing any bug fixes, patches, or new content. They appear to be planning on making the game moddable, which would leave it to the users to create fixes and new content for the game in its current state. Abandoned. Game breaking bugs, quests that cant be finished. Late Early Access stage beer brewing sim that's complete enough you can enjoy. I have 34 hours in, probably won't have anymore after having my time wasted (yet again) by something as simple as a pump adding water to a disconnected tank, ruining the batch. I had a good time though. Shame it doesn't seem like the Dev cares enough anymore. I would recommend if it was patched.

I wanted to play this so bad, but the more I progressed the faster I realised that half the content is either missing, or simply not working. Lot of tedium just to achieve nothing, like counterflow chiller just despawning your wort. I head to the discussions page to check what's up, read that developers already abandoned the game. Do not buy, at any cost.

I had high hopes for this brewing simulation game, but unfortunately, it fell flat in execution. Following recipes to the letter often results in failed objectives, which makes completing jobs feel unfair and random. Additionally, the clunky controls and lack of precision in measuring ingredients make the brewing process unnecessarily difficult. Brewmaster had a lot of potential as a competent brewing simulator, but there were a lot of issues left unresolved by the development team due to financial constraints. Despite it's full release, the game never felt fully realized. It was slow, clunky, and just really un-fun to play. Brewmaster was last updated in December 2022. Community brought forward a lot of issues and these went uncalled for. Got to say I'm very disappointed with Auroch in that regard. I think, that with the lack of support from developers, the game life cycle could not have been long as what developers wished for it to be. I was one of the excited members here at launch. Namely one of the ones from the beginning of the game (I believe the American Pale Ale (great way to start the game btw)), and later on, the English Style Bitter is another dud. I'm right on the edge about recommending this one. It's quite a time sink, but doesn't seem like much fun in the later hours. I only do extract brewing in real life, so this was interesting to check out. But there are limitations here where there are no notes, and you don't deal with sanitisation beyond clicking "clean" at the sink for some of the larger equipment. The tubing is really buggy, mostly visually. Also I've never put boiling water through flexible tubing, that's generally a no-no,…

Good idea, terrible implementation. There are a lot of bugs that make it hard to enjoy the game — pumps that don’t work, chillers that leak water into the wort, and more. At some point, the game becomes almost unplayable. The upgrades you unlock aren’t all usable, and some of the important ones are just buggy. The piping system is a total catastrophe. Might have bought the Brewmaster: Beer Brewing Simulator in the Steam sale. Might be living one of my many fantastical dreams of starting my own nerdy brewing company - starting with the Heathen Frolic, Dominic Crest, and Lunar Cry. ❤️

I'm not sure why so many people say "this game is fun, but" with this game. I really wanted to like this game because I've brewed once in the past, but honestly? It's a snoozefest. Your character walks like a geriatic moose with a walker. You have to meticulously check back and forth between recipe and catalog which require multiple clicks to switch between and the recipe is pinned. What's the point of "pinning" the recipe if it doesn't tell me which items I should buy in the catalog without…

Wishing for a thumbs sideways recommendation. This game feels like a labor of love made by brewers -- which isn't the same thing as a polished, balanced gameplay experience. You can expect most of the interface to feel a lot like any throw-away first person game (homeflipper comes to mind) ... but the actual brewing simulation behind it is endlessly detailed and beautifully technical, and very immersive. There are a lot of mechanics you learn slowly through experience, or from little tips…

Needs improvement. Pouring increments are to big on scroll wheel. Tube graphics need work. It doesn't take 2-6 days to cool wort, wort chiller doesn't seem to speed it up any. Game froze when designing a label. movement speed is slow. I don't see a way to make coin off of beer you made that fails a job. Or can't be submitted. No Glass Carboys? Still having trouble using the UI/Jobs/Pinned/Etc.,seems maybe a tad over complex?

The simulation here - and it IS a simulation - is great. So many characteristics are nicely modelled, and my own recipes come out described pretty much as they taste in real life! However, the method for getting there is sadly lacking. The game's clunky as hell. I haven't bothered with the story mode, just sandbox, but there's limited equipment to work from, limited things you can do with that equipment, tubing is just shown as a dotted line, there's no way to actually measure out ingredients…
