This game is no longer supported. [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/45534557/]@MatureContent I have over 300 hours in theHunter CotW and was therefore looking forward to play this 'new' CotW game. Unfortunately, it feels and looks nothing like theHunter CotW. Like other people have already said, this could and probably should have just been a DLC for theHunter CotW and not its own thing. It does not look …

Even though the developers abandoned the game to work on there other amazing game "Hunter: call of the wild" dosen't mean that the game sucks. now it would be amazing if they could come back and give us some more mouth watering DLC's but they won't. this still dosen't mean the game suck because there's nearly infinite possible oppurtunity's for bigger and better fish. that's why there's legendary fish, fish you have …

I honestly don't know why the reviews on this game are mixed recently. This is the best fishing game currently out there. Fishing planet feels WAY to grinding and annoying to fish in. As well as it being a money pit unless you want to progress slower than a snail. Let me list some pros and cons of the game -Absolutely Beautiful graphics -The fish fights feel fair and very rewarding -The fact you can see a fish, cast …

Love this game. Nice and relaxing, definitely immersive enough for my taste. It is unfortunate that the devs have stopped working on it, but I think it's left in a more than reasonable state. I have not personally come across many bugs, game has never crashed for me. The intro/tutorial is a little long, and the maps take a long time to get around the first time before finding fast travel locations, but once found, …

neutral · AI labelView post →I spent several in-game days going back every night to the one lake where you're supposed to catch a Gold Rank Sauger. I know, because there's no way to skip time in-game. You literally have to exit out of the game and come back at night. Over those several nights, I caught at least 20 Gold Rank Saugers. Except I didn't, apparently. Every Sauger was gold rank, but it wasn't triggering the completion for the mission. So I assumed it was just a glitch in what counts as a gold rank for the…

neutral · AI labelView post →Started playing The Hunter: Call of the Wild which I picked up for $6 for PS4/PS5. It's pretty much what I was hoping for: a relatively chill game where you're just trekking across the wilderness and occasionally shooting virtual animals.
positive · AI labelView post →Its amazing that some games I purchased decades ago still give updates and these useless pricks cancelled this like around 2 years after it came out and 4 months after a DLC drop....

neutral · AI labelView post →i was pretty interested in this game as i love the hunter but god its so horrible. low graphics map compared to the hunter, confusing gameplay, really annoying shopkeeper that would never shut up and just poor horrible UI. listen to the recent reviews and dont bother buying it. i had really high hopes but man its such a let down.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Here is the final graphic for Doe-cember 💚 During Doe-cember, I will be playing MMOs, trying to max one character in each game and trying to 100% Call of the Wild: The Angler with MbSaturn, with a sprinkle of different games here and there 🦌 STARTING TOMORROW! ✨ #vtuber #furry #videogames

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I actually do like the game and many of the complaints about it not being a fishing sim are fine with me. i like it as a relaxing exploration game. I've also heard complaints about poor optimization. My graphics card was put in to run Wow Classic and that's about it, and it's roughly 10+ years old. My PC still runs the game pretty well despite that and I've had no crashes on my Steam Deck thus far. The reason I can't recommend the game is because in the first 3 hours I've come into 2 game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →some how call of the wild got worse with this one. i am a fan of call of the wild the hunter but this one i feel like it would have been better to make a DLC for hunter with the mechanics of casting then make this, it feels wrong on so many levels the graphics some how fall short and you cant keep trophies to start with, don't get me wrong i don't hate it and if i could do a neutral recommend i would, but after time in the hunter this feels kind of weak and maybe should be blended with the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →SHOULD NOT BE STEAMDECK VERIFIED! On Steamdeck, this game frequently fails to launch, and when it does launch will crash half the time. When it actually runs you will have to have the graphics neutered to avoid less than 30 FPS. Ironically, COTW Hunter, is “unsupported” on Steamdeck, but in reality works quite well. Ultimately, not recommended until this is fixed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was obviously NOT made by fishers. I hate not having a free camera. The way the camera takes over when doing twitch or jigging is obnoxious. Lack of free camera while fishing makes me loose interest in the game right away. Did you guys make this game for the player or are the players there for your sake?!? Learn from Fishing planet and Russian fishing 4! First assignment of a programming dev. Learn whats already out there and works well, and only then start to make your own…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can you believe this is a game about fishing? Call of the Wild - The Angler is... wild.
neutral · AI labelView post →Been playing theHunter : Call of the Wild since it was 2$ on the steam summer sale Bagged my first uncommon fur deer!
positive · AI labelView post →Got it for 2 bucks from a cheap reseller, still wish I could refund it
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’m playing this game called Mercenary: Call of the Wild Lynx, and it’s so much better than a lot of other tactical RPG games. It just does the exact thing that you want and expect a tactical RPG to do. It’s like a stereotype of the genre. A model of its class. A solid “normal.”
neutral · AI labelView post →Been playing Dragon Quest 3 Remake and I instantly fell in love with the Monster Wrangler class. Early game group heals and his Call of the Wild ability is a treat to use! Might draw more fanart of my party if people enjoy it. #dq3 #dragonquest #DragonQuest3 #MonsterWrangler
neutral · AI labelView post →Ya i like the game just fine. Only thing Im wondering about is.. I get to the character creation screen and my first option is a black woman. I didnt know there was such a market demand for black women and fishing games which usually are majority white male games. Like we didnt know that was deliberate. How long is it going to take for you people losing money to figure out the subliminal messaging days pushing black people (so called Diversity) days are OVER. I got news for you if I even see…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love having a big hit on a top water frog and then fighting for 20 minutes to find out its a drum.... Farthest possible distance away from realistic. Don't waste your time...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game and the hunter call of the wild is basically locked behind a paywall, yes you get most features on the base game, but you need to pay money for every single map other than the starting map.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Insane fishing game, the development has stopped but the enjoyement of this games is infinite. Love this game.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I received this game as a gift, and it was on discount, thank God, because I could never justify or recommend anyone purchasing this game at its full price. The graphics are nothing special, however, there are some aesthetically pleasing and atmospheric sights scattered throughout the open world they've crafted here. The sound quality is equally mid and largely uneventful. Unfortunately, That pretty much sums up everything else positive that I could say. Regarding the actual game itself, I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good game catch fish hopefully big
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game does not launch, automatically crashes upon launching; attempted to contact support (which was hard enough) - and no response, no email, no nothing. Apex Crash Handler "something went wrong!" and thats all the information you get; support is nonexistent. I don't recommend it for this reason.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Needs an ocean update, and this could be better by far than fishing planet, it already is.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a good game, not worth full price. I picked it up for $7.49 and that seems fair for what it is. Disappointing that they didn't give this game much attention, it could've been something special like TheHunter.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't buy. It's abandoned.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →uhh a lot of people don't know this about me I'm sure, but I play theHunter, Call of the Wild 'cuz it satisfies my need to collect things. Yesterday I got an albino moose. Look at this beb!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i played for 5 minutes and instantly got "here is how people should talk" HR vibe from the narrating voice before the camera turned around and showed my guy holding the fish i caught like a grinning idiot. I wanted something to play while listening to podcast but with the HR voice and unsettling character model this game has, it is more unsettling than the creepcast episode i was listening to.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even though EW has stopped development of this game its still fun to play! Legendaries are updated every week still. I like playing this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →honestly besides the graphics being a bit funky and the mechanics not being amazing... the game is extremely fun and interactive. being able to drive place to place, or boat from A to B is such an epic add to a fishing game. def worth the price on sale!

positive · AI labelView post →A while back, I entered a giveaway on Twitch and won a Steam code for the game The Hunter: Call of the Wild, including some of it's DLCs. It's not my type of game, so I will probably never play it. If anyone's interested, hit me up and it's yours.
