What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 169 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Mixed (3,987 of 5,894 positive).
Many praise its fun magic system, building, and world despite the abandonment. [1][2][3] Some reviewers strongly advise against buying due to lack of updates and broken promises. [4][5][6]

Another game that fell to the promise of being great. Empty promises mean nothing. Don't buy games in early access unless you are okay with losing that money. I believe all games that are abandoned should be refunded in full for the price the game was bought at. Let these scum devs go bankrupt. Thanks for selling us on an empty promise.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME This game had great potential. But the dev team has squandered any hope of revival. It has been abandoned They will dangle carrots of future QoL updates.... but let me assure you.... i have first hand knowledge...no such plans or roadmap exists. The Official maps are overrun by single players that go unchecked. Pillaring is allowed making many maps unplayable to anyone new. If you are …

Devs come back please....this was a golden goose you just left in the barn to rot and crumble around it......wtf happened...

Absolutely enthralling, beautiful world. Delightful ease of play. Crafting is fun, and building is infinitely rewarding. Set up a custom game, crank the good stuff, lower the bad, and lose yourself in another world. Big recommendation!

One of the BEST games I have EVER played. However, the devs gave up on it very early on which in my opinon was an awful decision. This game would easily be up there with ARK, Rust, Dayz and all the top Survival games if they had allowed modding or just not given up! The gameplay mechanics are absolutely amazing and the mounts and pets are really well done. You get to ride a freakin dragon, but first you have to take …

neutral · AI labelView post →I am finally playing Beyond Citadel and after a lot of "i cant recommend this" type comments about it I am here to full throatedly recommend it because I'm not a fucking pussy. The game rocks. If you're too bitchmade for some boobs and guro then Bluey: The Game is right over there.
positive · AI labelView post →My review (unscored) of Beyond Citadel is finally up on PC Gamer. That game is a trip and yeah, I want to recommend it because it is VERY good and has a vibe all its own. But also if the mention of 'ero-guro' makes you either freak out or go 'what?', then you might want to avoid it.
positive · AI labelView post →Day 802 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing. Today’s game is Fallout 3. I didn’t realize how short the main story was for this. For context I just met up with the Brotherhood of Steel before ending off and I’m on my way to get the G.E.C.K. I can’t check exact hours right now but I’d say I’m maybe 15 hours in? Maybe 10. It’s not a strike against it, I like shorter stories, but it’s just something I’ve noticed.…

neutral · AI labelView post →the main thing you learn playing all of Bioware's ME1 and later games is 'man Bioware could make a truly great game if management fucking let them' and they never got to make that game. The closest they ever got was Citadel.

You can see my full thoughts on it (it's a game that's literally horny for murder) in this article: www.pcgamer.com/games/fps/be...
positive · AI labelView post →I finished the Citadel DLC in Mass Effect 3. I enjoyed it. It was fun, humorous, and kind of out of place with the rest of the game? Felt odd. Still, very enjoyable and made me laugh a few times.
positive · AI labelView post →30 Days of Video Game Places I Wish I Could Visit! DAY 13 The Citadel from Mass Effect I have spent more time in the Citadel in Mass Effect 2 and am rapidly falling in love with it. I would spend SO much money in all the stores 🤑
positive · AI labelView post →Finished Beyond Citadel, a very nice game in which a Japanese man with gun autism and a passion for anime girls dying horribly heads towards his north star and makes the best shooter of the last 5 years. 5/5
positive · AI labelView post →Coelacanth's Steam NextFest Report. I spent the past week dredging through the slop, trying to unearth interesting gems that are (as far as I can tell) free from generative AI. While it demanded a lot more effort and time than usual, I am happy to report that there are still promising, interesting and *human* indie games out there being made. --- # Standouts --- ## [Inkblood](https://store.steampowered.com/app/4114100/Inkblood/)…

positive · AI labelView post →Pretty sure this is the first fantasy mini I ever painted. I know my oldest minis I painted because I used to cut out cardboard for bases. The Citadel 1981-2 FT Skeletons and Zombies blew me away. Game changer in Undead fantasy sculpting.

And the good news is that you can rediscover this milestone in video game history with fresh eyes, thanks to the excellent 2023 remake. 🔥 Let's pay a visit to SHODAN on Citadel Station.

positive · AI labelView post →bought game, had hope, 5 years later, nothing, should be refunded the full price for this kind of trash behaviour. basically paid them to test their game for it to be abandoned

neutral · AI labelView post →Best of my knowledge this is a Dunharrow zombie/skeleton by Citadel for an early LOTR game. Bit of back and forth getting results I was happy with but good lesson in not just relying on inherent texture to see me though. #nerdlings #oldhammer (?)
neutral · AI labelView post →Very mixed. Always such a shame to come back and see this game stagnant and dead. It has wonderful foundations for a really cool experience with a good degree of immersion, but with the inability to mod the game as well as no active developers making content, it really is a bummer. Maybe someone could take this game from Blue Isle and let them update it to UE5 and open up mods for personal servers like Valheim. Something to revitalize a fun spin on survival.

neutral · AI labelView post →Two big reasons Mass Effect 3 is my favorite: Leviathan and Citadel. Without them, the game is a very solid entry just shy of ME2, but with those, OHOHOHOHO MAN! This game is so good!
positive · AI labelView post →Mass Effect developer John Ebenger revealed that there's no difference in speed when you try to run in the Citadel, it's just the fov of the camera that gives the illusion of moving faster. This is so the game can load the rest of the Citadel in time.
neutral · AI labelView post →Do not bother with this game it is dead. It had potential and was completely wasted. The concept is great but the execution is bad in multiple areas. The Spells are lackluster: The spell creation process had some good ideas like the spell essences and harvesting and amplifying them but instead of making a spell book they linked the spells to weapon types which is not only redundant in some cases but utterly useless as well. You can equip four weapons and each one has 2 spells on it instead…
